  • G-001 Hobby release date disagreement. topps.com (first-party), checklistinsider, ludex and si.com give April 22, 2026 (si.com adds 12 PM EST); sportscollectorsdaily and ripped.topps.com (also Topps first-party) give April 23, 2026. Recorded 2026-04-22 on the 4-source majority including topps.com product page. Needs confirmation of whether Apr 22 was an online/Topps-direct on-sale and Apr 23 the wide hobby street date.
  • G-002 STRUCTURAL DECISION on the prospects component. Sources agree the product has a 200-card NBA base set numbered 1-200 plus a 100-card NCAA/NIL prospects component. diamondcardsonline shows the prospects numbered BPP-1 to BPP-100 (paper) and BCP-1 to BCP-100 (chrome); checklistinsider heads it 'Paper Prospects Checklist' with a BPP prefix; topps.com and ripped.topps.com both call it a '100-card Prospect Insert' distinct from the base set; an eBay set listing prints '#BPP1-100'. Because the prospects carry their own alphanumeric prefix and are described first-party as a separate insert set rather than a continuation of 1-200, they are recorded as their own rows in sets.csv and NOT placed in base_cards.csv. base_cards.csv therefore contains exactly the 200 integer-numbered NBA cards. No renumbering was invented.
  • G-003 Paper base parallel list disagreement. checklistinsider and ludex both list Green Border /99 and Green Pattern Border /99 (retail exclusive) as the 4th and 5th tiers; cardsmithsbreaks.com instead lists Blue Pattern /125 and Bowman Logo Pattern /100 in those slots. Both lists total 12 paper parallels and otherwise match. Recorded the 2-source checklistinsider/ludex version; the cardsmithsbreaks names (Blue Pattern /125, Bowman Logo Pattern /100) are unverified and excluded.
  • G-004 si.com states the 200-card base set is composed of 100 prospect cards plus 100 NBA stars and rookies. This contradicts checklistinsider and diamondcardsonline, whose actual published checklists show 200 NBA cards numbered 1-200 with prospects numbered separately (BPP/BCP 1-100). si.com treated as an error and not used for set structure.
  • G-005 beckett.com/news returned HTTP 403 and could not be fetched; cardboardconnection.com and collectibleiq.com were robots-disallowed. Three of the requested/preferred sources could not be used, reducing cross-checking on parallel print runs and insert counts.
  • G-006 The spec's channel vocabulary (hobby|retail|blaster|mega|fanatics-exclusive|choice|FOTL|multi|UNKNOWN) has no value for the breaker-exclusive Geometric family (Geometric unnumbered, Green /99, Gold /50, Orange /25, Black /10, Red /5), which checklistinsider labels 'Breaker Exclusive'. Those six rows use channel=UNKNOWN with the real channel stated in visual_notes. Vocabulary extension needed. • G-007 Insert and autograph card counts are single-source (diamondcardsonline.com) for the majority of sets: Very Important Prospects 25, Bowman Verified 25, Hobby Stars 15, Rockstar Rookies 20, Greatness Loading 25, Mega Rookies 25, Mega Prospects 25, Bowman Spotlights NBA 10 / NIL 5, Crystallized NBA 10 / NIL 5, Anime NBA 25, Bowman GPK NBA 5 / NIL 4, Future Script 24, Buzz Factor 25, Timeless Touch 25, Bowman Dual 20, RetroFractor Variation 2, Chrome Prospect Etched in Glass 5. Only Talent Tracker 25, Gen Next 25, ROY Favorites 15, Young Kings 25, Anime NIL 5 and Opening Statement Signatures 25 are corroborated (ripped.topps.com).
  • G-008 Several autograph counts are approximate in the source and may be checklist-position counts rather than exact card counts: Base Chrome Autographs (~150), Chrome Prospect Autographs (~100), Paper Prospect Retail Autographs (~100), Paper Rookies and Veterans Retail Autographs (~130). ludex separately states Chrome Prospect Autographs is 99 cards, conflicting with diamondcardsonline's ~100. Recorded values are the diamondcardsonline figures.
  • G-009 rookie_flag derivation. checklistinsider prints an explicit 'RC' tag on cards 1-36 and 38-55 (card 37 Buddy Hield carries no RC despite sitting inside the rookie block), and prints no RC tag on 56-200; diamondcardsonline independently tags 1-10 'Rookie'. rookie_flag=no on 56-200 is inferred from the consistent absence of the RC tag in a list that does display it elsewhere, not from an explicit 'not a rookie' statement. Should be re-verified against card images or the Topps checklist PDF.
  • G-010 Player-name spelling uncertainty. Card 30 is rendered 'Yanic Konan-Niederhäuse' by checklistinsider, which appears truncated (the player is commonly Yanic Konan Niederhauser); recorded verbatim per the source rather than corrected. Card 8 'Egor Dëmin', card 20 'Kasparas Jakučionis', card 100 'Nikola Jokić', card 123 'Luka Dončić', card 157 'Nikola Vučević' and card 169 'Tidjane Salaün' carry diacritics that vary between sources (checklistinsider rendered #20 both as 'Jakučionis' and 'Jakucionis' on separate passes); Topps card fronts may print unaccented forms.
  • G-011 Chrome parallel channel-exclusivity disagreement. checklistinsider lists Black Refractor /10 among the all-channel standard parallels and lists Green Refractor /99, Reptilian Green /99 and Green Shimmer /99 as retail exclusives; ludex lists Black /10 as hobby exclusive and lists the Green /99 tier with no channel restriction. checklistinsider (the more granular list, which breaks out hobby/jumbo, breaker, retail and mega tiers separately) was followed. Channel values on these four rows are lower confidence. • G-012 Chrome parallel print runs are effectively single-source (checklistinsider) for 44 of the 57 chrome rows, including the entire mega-box Mojo family (15 rows), the breaker Geometric family (6 rows), and the hobby/jumbo shimmer, X-Fractor, Wave, Floorboard and Mini-Diamond variants. ludex corroborates only 13 chrome names and gives no channel detail for most. No second source was reachable for the Mojo or Geometric print runs. • G-013 Set-name variance between sources, recorded but unresolved: checklistinsider calls the college autograph line 'Bowman Chrome U Autographs' while diamondcardsonline calls it 'Chrome Prospect Autographs' - treated here as the same set (one row). checklistinsider/sportscollectorsdaily spell the case-hit insert 'Crystallized' while diamondcardsonline spells it 'Crystalized'. checklistinsider/ludex use 'RetroFractor'/'Retrofractors' where diamondcardsonline uses 'Retrofractor Variation'. sportscollectorsdaily additionally names 'Bowman U Chrome Autographs' and 'Timeless Touch' without counts.
  • G-014 Insert-level parallels are out of scope per the spec and were not recorded, but sources indicate the Prospects and insert sets carry their own refractor parallel ladders (e.g. Chrome Prospects mirror the base chrome treatment per ripped.topps.com). parallels.csv covers base-set parallels only.
  • G-015 PER-SET PARALLEL TIERS: 0 of 36 non-base sets carry an enumerated tier note. The remainder returned NO dedicated parallel section on checklistinsider, the only source that calibrated cleanly for Topps products; a sample was confirmed absent by targeted per-name query rather than inferred from silence. Many appear to be plain unnumbered inserts that genuinely have no ladder. NOTE the source landscape here differs from Panini: tcdb's Inserts.cfm page, which carried this data for every Panini line, is NOT validated for Topps, and ripped.topps.com's Collector's Guide was caught FABRICATING a full rainbow ladder that a verbatim search disproved. Resolving further needs a first-party Topps odds sheet per product, not more scraping.
