- G-001 Panini's pre-release preview blog post (blog.paniniamerica.net, 'Panini Peek') stated release date July 3, 2020, explicitly marked subject to change. Five independent post-release retail sources (cardboardconnection.com, checklistcenter.com, stockx.com, steelcitycollectibles.com, gogts.net) all state July 31, 2020. Recorded 2020-07-31.
- G-002 Autograph set card counts disagree between cardboardconnection.com/sportscardchecklist.com and checklistcenter.com for four sets: Flux Rookie Auto (39 vs 40), Hometown Heroes Rookie Auto (38 vs 40), Limited Rookie Jersey Auto (38 vs 40), Rookie Cornerstones (38 vs 40). Recorded the cardboardconnection.com/sportscardchecklist.com figure in sets.csv notes; could not resolve with a third independent count.
- G-003 Several blocks have naming variants across sources: 'Elite' (tcdb.com trivia, abbreviated) vs 'Elite Black Box' (cardboardconnection.com; confirmed by an eBay listing title for the same design in 2018-19 Chronicles); 'Titanium' (tcdb) vs 'Titanium Draft Position' (cardboardconnection.com; sportscardchecklist.com page title); 'Prizm' (tcdb) vs 'Prizm Update' (cardboardconnection.com); 'Donruss Optic' (tcdb) vs 'Donruss Optic Traded' (cardboardconnection.com; matches an eBay listing '...Donruss Optic #511 Traded...'); 'Hometown Heroes' (tcdb, checklistcenter.com) vs 'Hometown Heroes Optic' (cardboardconnection.com, sportscardchecklist.com). Used the fuller name in each case where corroborated by >=2 independent sources.
- G-004 Titanium Draft Position (436-470) carries a second parallel tier, numbered to each player's own jersey number ('Jersey Number #/88 or less' per cardboardconnection.com), confirmed to exist as its own tcdb.com catalogued entity ('Titanium Jersey Number'). Its print run varies per card rather than being a single fixed integer, so it cannot be represented under parallels.csv's integer-or-'unnumbered' schema (per EXTRACTION_SPEC). Omitted from parallels.csv; the block's other, fixed-print '/19' tier ('Titanium Draft Year') WAS recorded.
- G-005 This release's base parallels do not map one-to-one onto individual sub-brand blocks: sources describe them as shared 'waves' each spanning many blocks at once (an 11-block wave for cards 1-300, a 6-block wave for cards 501-600, a 3-block wave for cards 601-699), plus a handful of block-specific numbered tiers (Elite Black Box/Majestic share one tier; Limited and Vanguard each have their own). parallels.csv rows were named and scoped by wave (e.g. 'Base Red', 'Traded Red', 'Draft Tranche Red') with the exact block list spelled out in visual_notes, rather than forcing a single-block name per the product-specific naming guidance, since a bare per-block name would misrepresent how many blocks actually share each print run.
- G-006 A Tmall (China market)-exclusive box format called 'Lucky Envelopes' is confirmed to exist for this release, numbered to /8 ('Find 2 Exclusive Lucky Envelope Parallels Numbered to 8!', tradingcardmarket.com), and tcdb.com catalogues it as a release-wide 'Parallel Set'. Single source only; could not confirm which specific card range(s)/blocks it covers or whether the '2' refers to two separately-named color tiers. Recorded as a single row with the uncertainty noted.
- G-007 A Panini pre-release preview blog post (blog.paniniamerica.net, 'Panini Peek') listed 'Illusions' among this release's sub-brands. No card-level or ranged evidence of an 'Illusions' block was found anywhere in the verified 1-699 checklist, which fully tiles into the 26 blocks in base_card_tiers.csv with zero gaps or overlaps and sums exactly to 699 (confirmed against tcdb.com's per-card checklist, cardboardconnection.com's and checklistcenter.com's block tables, and sportscardchecklist.com's per-block card counts, all of which agree on the same 26 blocks and omit 'Illusions'). Treated as a preview-copy inconsistency (possibly bled over from a different Chronicles-year checklist) and not included as a 27th block.
- G-008 No numeric pull odds were found for any set or parallel in this release (expected: Panini does not publish odds sheets for basketball). Editorial rarity language WAS found for three base-set BLOCKS: dacardworld.com calls Gala 'ultra-rare' and Titanium/Vanguard 'short-printed' ('Chase the ultra-rare Gala, along with the short-printed Titanium and Vanguard cards!'). Because Gala/Titanium/Vanguard are base_card_tiers.csv blocks rather than rows in sets.csv or parallels.csv, this signal could not be recorded in scarcity_sets.csv/scarcity_parallels.csv without violating those files' exact-name-match requirement against sets.csv/parallels.csv. Logged here instead; no scarcity_tier is asserted for Gala in scarcity_parallels.csv/scarcity_sets.csv as a result.
- G-009 Channel (hobby/retail/etc.) could not be confirmed for the numbered per-block parallel tiers (Red/Blue/Purple/Gold/Platinum/Black, all waves) nor for the base cards of Elite Black Box, Majestic, Limited, Gala, Titanium Draft Position, Vanguard, Score, Classics, and Rookies & Stars -- no source stated whether these blocks/tiers are hobby-exclusive or also appear in retail formats. Recorded as UNKNOWN rather than inferring from the fact that Bronze/Green/Pink retail-exclusive colors are documented only for the other blocks. - G-010 rookie_flag is UNKNOWN for card ranges where an explicit RC-tag check could not be completed due to source-page truncation on repeated fetches: Threads 76-100, Prestige 71-75, Playbook 178-195, Donruss Rated Rookie 196-200, XR 280-285, Recon 286-300, Limited 378-400, Vanguard 489-500, Phoenix 571-580, Flux 581-600, and Rookies & Stars 673-699. All other ranges reflect an explicit 'RC' tag present/absent check against tcdb.com's live checklist.
- G-011 G-002 recorded an unresolved 39-vs-40 / 38-vs-40 card_count dispute for Flux Rookie Auto, Hometown Heroes Rookie Auto, Limited Rookie Jersey Auto and Rookie Cornerstones. A third independent count now exists: tcdb.com renders exactly 39, 38, 38 and 38 rendered rows respectively on each set's base checklist page, and the same counts again on each set's scarcest parallel page (Flux Rookie Auto Black sid 239234; Hometown Heroes Rookie Auto Gold sid 239247 and Platinum sid 239248; Limited Rookie Jersey Auto Super Prime sid 239254; Rookie Cornerstones Onyx sid 239256) -- rows counted by hand, not taken from the page header, though the headers agree. This sides with cardboardconnection.com/sportscardchecklist.com against checklistcenter.com's 40s, i.e. with the figure already in sets.csv. Base URLs: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239233/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Flux-Rookie-Auto , https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239245/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Hometown-Heroes-Rookie-Auto , https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239251/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Limited-Rookie-Jersey-Auto , https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239255/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Rookie-Cornerstones . Recorded here rather than edited into sets.csv, which this pass may not write.
- G-012 parallels.csv carries only two parallels scoped to Dress for Success (Red, Prime) and two scoped to Limited Rookie Jersey Auto (Red, Prime), but sets.csv's own notes for both sets name three tiers -- 'Red, Prime, Super Prime' -- and tcdb catalogues a distinct Super Prime sid for each: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239226/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Dress-for-Success-Super-Prime (heading '2019-20 Panini Chronicles - Dress for Success Super Prime', 20 rows) and https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239254/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Limited-Rookie-Jersey-Auto-Super-Prime (heading '2019-20 Panini Chronicles - Limited Rookie Jersey Auto Super Prime', 38 rows). Two 'Super Prime' parallel rows therefore appear to be missing from parallels.csv. Reported, not edited -- parallels.csv is outside this pass's write scope.
- G-013 Quentin Richardson's card in the 40-card Airborne Signatures set is rendered by tcdb as 'AV-QRI' -- the only row in the set whose prefix is not 'AB-'. The token is identical on the base page (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239211/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Airborne-Signatures , ViewCard cid 14969102) and on the Airborne Signatures Gold parallel page (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239214/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Airborne-Signatures-Gold), so it is not a rendering artifact of one fetch. https://www.tcdb.com/Errors.cfm/sid/239211/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Airborne-Signatures returns no entries. No marketplace listing naming this card could be found (searches on 'AV-QRI' and 'AB-QRI' returned nothing for this release). The row was written VERBATIM as AV-QRI and flagged in its notes; it was deliberately NOT 'repaired' to AB-QRI, which would be derivation. Open question: is AV-QRI what is printed on the card, or a tcdb data-entry error? Rests on tcdb alone.
- G-014 tcdb renders the card number 'HH-GUY' on TWO different players in the 38-card Hometown Heroes Rookie Auto set: Kyle Guy (ViewCard cid 15001213) and Louis King (cid 15001214). The duplication is present identically on the base page (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239245/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Hometown-Heroes-Rookie-Auto), on the Gold parallel (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239247/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Hometown-Heroes-Rookie-Auto-Gold) and on the Platinum parallel (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/239248/2019-20-Panini-Chronicles-Hometown-Heroes-Rookie-Auto-Platinum), and the two cids are adjacent, which is the signature of a copy-down data-entry error rather than a genuine collision. HH-GUY was assigned to Kyle Guy, whose verbatim suffix is 'GUY' in two other sets of this release (AB-GUY in Airborne Signatures, externally corroborated by a free-text seller title at https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393533927727 ; FR-GUY in Flux Rookie Auto). WITHHELD PLAYER, NAMED: Louis King -- he is confirmed to be IN this set (all four tcdb pages list him) but his printed card number is not recoverable; reconstructing it from his Apprentice Signatures code AP-LKI would be derivation. 37 of 38 rows written for this set.
- G-015 'AB-DBA' is rendered by tcdb on two players in Airborne Signatures -- Dwayne Bacon (ViewCard cid 14969106) and Darius Bazley (cid 14969113) -- on both the base page (sid 239211) and the Gold parallel page (sid 239214). Unlike the HH-GUY case (G-014) the cids are not adjacent and both suffixes are a plausible initials fit for their own player (D. Bacon / D. Bazley), so this reads as a genuine two-player initials collision rather than a data-entry smear. Both rows were written verbatim and flagged per spec. Note that Darius Bazley is separately AP-DBA, FR-DBA, LR-DBA and RC-DBA in four other sets of this release, so DBA is consistently his suffix; Dwayne Bacon appears in no other autograph set here, so nothing available settles whether Panini genuinely printed AB-DBA on both cards. No marketplace listing for either card was found.
- G-016 ALL 290 card_numbers written for this release's nine autograph sets ultimately rest on tcdb.com. Every set was cross-read against at least one of its own tcdb parallel-tier pages (byte-identical in all nine cases), but tcdb parallel pages are the same upstream, not an independent third party. Only TWO codes have genuinely independent corroboration: 'AB-ZWL' (Zion Williamson, Airborne Signatures) from a Heritage Auctions lot title at https://sports.ha.com/itm/basketball-cards/singles-1980-now-/2019-panini-chronicles-zion-williamson-airborne-signatures-ab-zwl-psa-gem-mint-10-d-60-99/a/50043-54799.s , and 'AB-GUY' (Kyle Guy, Airborne Signatures) from a free-text seller title at https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393533927727 . CALIBRATION VERDICTS FOR THIS RELEASE, all measured against codes tcdb and a marketplace agree on: cardboardconnection.com FAILS on coded sets (renders Flux Auto as '1 Zach Collins ... 20 Mo Bamba' where the cards read FA-ZCO / FA-MOB, and Hall of Fame Autographs as '1 Allen Iverson ... 10 Larry Bird' where they read HF-AIV / HF-LBI) -- roster and print-run only; sportscardchecklist.com FAILS on coded sets (renders Airborne Signatures as #1..#40) -- roster only, though its 40-player roster matches tcdb's exactly. eBay is heavily tcdb-seeded for this release: /itm/336602124994 and /itm/267259521341 were both silently retitled to eBay's catalogue form carrying tcdb's '(AU)' flag string, diverging from the free-text search snippets that led to them. comc.com card pages 403 through the egress proxy. sportscardslist.com is unreachable (DNS). diamondcardsonline.com carries sealed boxes only, no checklists for this release.
