- G-001 SCHEMA EXPRESSIVENESS GAP, THIRTEEN ROWS. Thirteen set-scope parallel tiers are PROVABLY serial numbered and have a PER-CARD VARIABLE run, a state the schema cannot hold because print_run and serial_numbered are forced to move together, so all thirteen carry UNKNOWN/UNKNOWN - indistinguishable from "we found nothing", which is the exact collapse unknown_semantics.csv exists to prevent. Every census below is a FULL enumeration of every rendered row, not a sample, counted row by row rather than taken from the fetch layer's own tally. Rookie Cornerstones Autograph Relics Crystal, sid 180300 over parent cards 151-189, 38 rows: SN75 x37, SN59 x1 (card 177 Josh Hart). Rookie Cornerstones Autograph Relics Quartz, sid 180304 over parent cards 151-189, 38 rows: SN49 x37, SN42 x1 (card 177 Josh Hart). Cornerstones Crystal, sid 180309, 28 rows: SN75 x26, SN40 x1 (C-KIV Kyrie Irving), SN65 x1 (C-RAN Ryan Anderson). Cornerstones Quartz, sid 180313, 35 rows: SN49 x27, SN25 x8. Cornerstones Granite, sid 180310, 35 rows: SN25 x28, SN15 x6, SN19 x1 (C-JEM Joel Embiid). Cornerstones Marble, sid 180311, 39 rows: SN10 x38, SN5 x1 (C-CP3 Chris Paul). Legendary Cornerstones Crystal, sid 180334, 7 rows: SN75 x6, SN20 x1 (LC-KBR Kobe Bryant). Legendary Cornerstones Quartz, sid 180338, 11 rows: SN49 x6, SN25 x2, SN45 x1, SN35 x1, SN15 x1 (LC-KBR) - five distinct tokens on eleven rows. Legendary Cornerstones Granite, sid 180335, 12 rows: SN25 x9, SN15 x2, SN10 x1 (LC-KBR). Legendary Cornerstones Marble, sid 180336, 15 rows: SN10 x14, SN5 x1 (LC-KBR). Pillars of Power Autographs Silver, sid 180346, 22 rows: SN49 x18, SN25 x4. Memorabilia Prime, sid 180340, 28 rows: SN10 x27, SN7 x1 (M-MKG Michael Kidd-Gilchrist). Building Blocks Memorabilia Prime, sid 180306, 40 rows: SN10 x38, SN8 x1 (BB-MM Malik Monk), SN4 x1 (BB-JB Jordan Bell). A three-row sample would have written a clean confident wrong integer on every one of these thirteen, and on four of them (Memorabilia Prime, Building Blocks Memorabilia Prime, and both Crystal and Quartz over the rookie block) an editorial source states exactly the modal figure. To resolve: a print_run_basis column, or permitting serial_numbered=yes with print_run=UNKNOWN. - G-002 CEILINGS, RANGES AND UNHEDGED FLAT FIGURES - HOW EACH FARED AGAINST A FULL tcdb ENUMERATION. Recorded because the briefing asked for the editorial ceilings to be probed rather than assumed, and because on this product they did NOT all hold. CEILINGS, ALL HELD. cardboardconnection prints "PARALLEL CARDS: Crystal #/75 or less, Quartz #/49 or less, Granite #/25 or less, Marble #/10 (Chris Paul, Kobe #/5*), Onyx 1/1." beneath its merged 57-card Cornerstones Autograph Relics heading, and dacardworld independently prints "Look for Base (max #'d/199), Crystal (one Prime swatch, max #'d/75), Quartz (two Prime swatches, max #'d/49), Granite (three Prime swatches, max #'d/25), Marble (four Prime swatches, max #'d/10), and Onyx (four Prime swatches, #'d 1-of-1)." Every one of those ceilings was the true maximum of its enumerated token set across both the Cornerstones and Legendary Cornerstones tiers, and three values fell strictly inside a ceiling that no source named - SN65 on C-RAN, SN40 on C-KIV and SN19 on C-JEM. Both named exceptions were confirmed on the page: C-CP3 Chris Paul renders SN5 on Cornerstones Marble and LC-KBR Kobe Bryant renders SN5 on Legendary Cornerstones Marble. The tiers still carry UNKNOWN, because a ceiling that happens to be the maximum is still not a per-tier print run. RANGES, HELD. "PARALLEL CARDS: Silver #/49 or #/25, Gold #/10, Platinum 1/1." (Pillars of Power Autographs) brackets the enumerated Silver token set {49, 25} exactly, with nothing outside it. PARENTHESISED PER-CARD EXCEPTIONS, HELD. "PARALLEL CARDS: Crystal #/75 (Hart #/59*), Quartz #/49 (Hart #/42*), Granite #/25, Marble #/10, Onyx 1/1." on the rookie block: card 177 Josh Hart renders SN59 on Crystal and SN42 on Quartz, and no other row on either tier departs from the headline figure. UNHEDGED FLAT FIGURES, TWO CONFIRMED AND TWO REFUTED. Confirmed: "Elusive Ink Set Checklist: 10 cards. Serial numbered #/159." (distinct token set over all 10 rows is exactly SN159) and "Franchise Foundations Signatures Bronze Set Checklist: 25 cards. Serial numbered #/75." (exactly SN75 over all 25); "Pillars of Power Autographs Bronze Set Checklist: 16 cards. Serial numbered #/75." likewise (exactly SN75 over all 16). REFUTED: "PARALLEL CARDS: Prime #/10, Super Prime 1/1." is printed beneath all three memorabilia sets, and on two of the three the Prime tier is NOT uniformly /10 - Memorabilia Prime renders SN7 on M-MKG and Building Blocks Memorabilia Prime renders SN8 on BB-MM and SN4 on BB-JB. Only Fractured Memorabilia Prime is genuinely flat at /10. Those two rows carry value_contested=yes. - G-007 ONE SOURCE MODELS TWO COLOUR TIERS AS SETS. cardboardconnection gives two Bronze tiers checklist headings of their own - "Franchise Foundations Signatures Bronze Set Checklist: 25 cards. Serial numbered #/75." and "Pillars of Power Autographs Bronze Set Checklist: 16 cards. Serial numbered #/75." - and correspondingly omits Bronze from those two sets' PARALLEL CARDS lines, while keeping Bronze inside the PARALLEL CARDS line for Elusive Ink and Keystone Signatures. tcdb files all four as tiers (sids 180324, 180343, 180316, 180329) in its Insert Sets listing, and checklistcenter names no Bronze set. Both were filed as set-scope rows in parallels.csv, not as sets.csv rows. The counts and runs are not in dispute - both cardboardconnection figures match the tcdb pages exactly - only the modelling is. Recorded because a consumer counting "sets" will get 14 here and 16 from cardboardconnection, and because the reason those two tiers look like sets is visible in the data: they carry SHORTER rosters than their parent (25 of 35, 16 of 24) where a pure colour parallel usually carries the full one. - G-008 NINE PARALLEL TIER PAGES RENDER FEWER ROWS THAN THEIR PARENT SET card_count, and none of the shortfalls affects a print run or a token census written here, because every census covers every row the page does render. Recorded so a later chase pass does not mistake them for missing research. Cornerstones Crystal (sid 180309) 28 of 42, Quartz (180313) 35 of 42, Granite (180310) 35 of 42, Marble (180311) 39 of 42. Legendary Cornerstones Crystal (180334) 7 of 15, Quartz (180338) 11 of 15, Granite (180335) 12 of 15. Franchise Foundations Signatures Bronze (180324) 25 of 35 and Silver (180327) 32 of 35; Keystone Signatures Bronze (180329) 20 of 29 and Silver (180332) 25 of 29; Pillars of Power Autographs Bronze (180343) 16 of 24 and Silver (180346) 22 of 24; Memorabilia Prime (180340) 28 of 30; Fractured Memorabilia Prime (180321) 28 of 30. In every one of these the page header agrees with its own rendered row count, which is internal consistency about a smaller roster, not evidence of a smaller tier - but note the pattern runs the right way for it to be REAL here: the shortfall is monotone in scarcity on the autograph ladders (Bronze shortest, then Silver, with Gold and Platinum complete), which is what a genuinely restricted tier looks like rather than what an incomplete catalogue looks like. cardboardconnection independently states 25 for Franchise Foundations Signatures Bronze and 16 for Pillars of Power Autographs Bronze, matching those two pages exactly, which is direct outside support for at least two of the shortfalls being real. What would settle the rest: an independent tier-level roster, which no source consulted publishes. - G-009 CHANNEL IS UNKNOWN ON ALL 42 PARALLEL ROWS, WITH AN EMPTY channel_basis, AND THAT IS AN EVIDENCED REFUSAL RATHER THAN MISSING WORK. The product-level evidence for a hobby channel is REAL and is stronger here than on the 2018-19 sibling: cardboardconnection writes "With just six cards per Hobby box, the average yield is two autographs, one relic and one special insert." and "Each hobby box is slated to have: 2 Autographs and 1 Relic", and dacardworld sells the product as a "Hobby Box" with "1 Pack Per Box, 6 Cards Per Pack". But NO source names a trade channel for any individual tier or claims channel exclusivity for any of them, and EXTRACTION_SPEC section 2.3 is explicit that a product-level hobby note must not be inherited onto tiers it does not cover. Per migrations/003_parallels.sql the constraint basis_iff_channel_known makes channel=UNKNOWN with channel_basis=unsupported illegal, so the basis is EMPTY and the reasoning lives here. channel_confidence is likewise empty, per reference/caveats.csv CAV-038, which records that the column carries no database CHECK and that 81 rows elsewhere already carry illegal values. Separately, the usual cheap channel-and-print-run shortcut is unavailable on this parent: the Notes column on Inserts.cfm carries IMAGE-COMPLETION PERCENTAGES ("46.3% of images added", "0.0% of images added") on all 49 rows of both sections with ZERO blank cells, so it is the worthless shape - a non-blank cell is not a serial statement and there are no blanks for the both-directions split test to work on. The blank-annotation test could not be run at all on this product and was not run. This is a twelfth 2017-18 parent measured in that state; see CAV-036. - G-010 A CONVENTION DIVERGENCE INSIDE THE CATALOGUE, RECORDED NOT RESOLVED. rookie_flag=no is written on all 150 base cards on a within-parent positive discriminative control: the same parent renders the token "RC" on every one of cards 151-189 and on none of cards 1-150, across four fetches on two endpoints, so the renderer's RC designation is demonstrably live on this page; every base subject is additionally a 2016-draft-or-earlier professional or a retired legend, and no 2017 draftee appears anywhere in 1-150. The adjacent season of this same line, data/cornerstones-bkb-2018-19, writes "no" on the identical evidence shape, so the line is internally consistent. Five premium 2018-19 releases already in the catalogue write UNKNOWN on every base card on the same evidence shape instead - immaculate-bkb-2018-19, impeccable-bkb-2018-19, nattreasures-bkb-2018-19 and opulence-bkb-2018-19 at 100 rows each and flawless-bkb-2018-19 at 159. Nothing on either row tells a consumer which convention it is under. - G-011 CARD 171 IS UNISSUED, AND THE CHECKS THAT COULD HAVE SHOWN OTHERWISE WERE RUN. The parent renders card 170 then card 172 on Checklist.cfm?PageIndex=2 and again on the same URL with &sort=0 - a second, differently-parameterised fetch, per the direction-neutral rule. It is confirmed structurally as well: Gallery.cfm paginates by card INDEX, and page 18 (indices 171-180) begins at CARD 172, so the index-to-number skew is exactly one and falls at 171; page 19 (indices 181-188) runs cards 182-189. The parent header "Total Cards: 188" reconciles exactly on that reading - 189 numbers less one unissued equals 188 rendered rows - so the header is counting distinct ISSUED numbers and is RIGHT. The EXTRACTION_SPEC section 5.5 mirror check was run and comes back empty: the NEXT season's parent (2018-19 Cornerstones, sid 195378) lists 46 Inserts.cfm rows, every one a 2018-19 Cornerstones set or tier, with no 2017-18 block and no Update set, so card 171 is not sitting in a next-season Update block. Errors.cfm on this parent returns "No errors or variations have been added for this set yet." and that silence is worth nothing either way - see reference/caveats.csv CAV-020 - so no claim about variation sets is made anywhere in this release; the base run rests on a contiguous enumeration, not on Errors.cfm. What is NOT settled: no source states in words that 171 was never issued, and no marketplace listing was sought for it. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/173291/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones?PageIndex=2 ; https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/173291/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones?PageIndex=2&sort=0 ; https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/173291/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones?PageIndex=18 ; https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/173291/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones?PageIndex=19 ; https://www.tcdb.com/Errors.cfm/sid/173291/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones ; https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/195378/2018-19-Panini-Cornerstones
- G-012 RELEASE DATE CORROBORATION - THREE SOURCES, TWO LINEAGES, AND BECKETT RE-CONFIRMED GONE. 2018-07-25 rests on cardboardconnection "Release Date: 07/25/2018", tcdb "Release Date: July 25, 2018" on parent sid 173291, and checklistcenter "Release Date: July 25, 2018". The words "Estimated Release Date" appear on none of them, so this is a date rather than a forecast, and it matches the figure the 2017-18 scope memo carried unqualified. Note the corroboration is weaker than three sources sounds: reference/caveats.csv CAV-037 records cardboardconnection and checklistcenter as plausibly ONE editorial lineage, so the honest count is two independent lineages, tcdb and the editorial one. beckett.com was tried once on this product and 302-redirects to maintenance.beckett.com, re-confirming CAV-033 on a 2017-18 URL for this line. Sources: https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2017-18-panini-cornerstones-basketball-cards ; https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/173291/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones ; https://www.checklistcenter.com/2017-18-panini-cornerstones/
- G-013 BRAND IDENTITY CONFIRMED AND NOTHING WAS MINTED, AND THIS RELEASE IS THE LINE FLOOR. reference/brands.csv line 38 carries "brd_01M2B8M6BJKF4BVCZ1A77FRZ22,Cornerstones,cornerstones,Panini Cornerstones Basketball, basketball,Panini". The season-independent product name derived from this season's sources is "Panini Cornerstones Basketball" - cardboardconnection heads the product "2017-18 Panini Cornerstones Basketball" and tcdb titles the parent "2017-18 Panini Cornerstones" - which matches byte for byte once the season prefix is dropped. No name divergence of any kind was found on this line, in either direction. THE FLOOR: cardboardconnection opens "A new mashup for NBA fans, 2017-18 Panini Cornerstones Basketball compiles a few known entities into a one-pack-per-box format.", specs/2017-18_SCOPE_MEMO.md section 4 records Cornerstones as a 2017-18 DEBUT on that same sentence, and the corpus's own cornerstones-bkb-2018-19 records cardboardconnection calling the following season "The sophomore NBA card effort". Those reconcile exactly and there is no Cornerstones release below this one to look for. That sibling's gap G-014 says its "sophomore" claim "implies a 2017-18 Cornerstones edition outside this catalogue" and that the predecessor "was deliberately not pursued"; this release is that predecessor, so that gap is now answerable and should be revisited by whoever owns it. NOTE also that pipeline/brands.py keeps its own hand-maintained map and reference/caveats.csv CAV-035 records it drifting; the prefix "cornerstones" already exists there because the 2018-19 release loads, so no new prefix is introduced by this build. Sources: reference/brands.csv line 38 ; https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2017-18-panini-cornerstones-basketball-cards ; https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/173291/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones ; data/cornerstones-bkb-2018-19/gaps.csv gap G-014
- G-014 THE SET INVENTORY IS BOUNDED BUT ITS COMPOSITION IS NOT PROVED. Inserts.cfm on the parent returned all 49 rows in ONE fetch with no truncation and no interpolated sid - "Insert Sets (44)" and "Parallel Sets (5)" - and the sids form a single contiguous run 180300 to 180348 with NO interleaved foreign product anywhere inside it, which is unusual on this season. Both boundaries were proved foreign by ViewSet.cfm probes: sid 180299 renders "2018 Panini XR" (football, Total Cards 200) and sid 180349 renders "2018 Panini Certified - Mirror Silver" (Total Cards 200). The arithmetic reconciles exactly - 49 sids = 12 sid-bearing sets + 32 of their colour and Prime tiers + 5 base-set parallel sids - and every one of the 49 sids was opened and confirmed against its own page heading, none taken on the listing's word. A reconciling count bounds the search; it does not prove the composition, and CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC records cases where omissions and extras cancelled. Three sets are recorded as having no parallels at all - Downtown, Startups and Unbreakables - and that claim rests on absence: no tier for them appears in the Inserts.cfm listing and cardboardconnection prints no PARALLEL CARDS line beneath any of their headings. The one set with NO sid of any kind, Rookie Cornerstones Autograph Relics, was found inside the parent checklist exactly where EXTRACTION_SPEC section 5.3 says to look. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/173291/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones ; https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/180299/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones-lowerbound-probe ; https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/180349/2017-18-Panini-Cornerstones-upperbound-probe ; https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2017-18-panini-cornerstones-basketball-cards
- G-015 cardboardconnection AND checklistcenter ARE NOT ONE OPINION ON THIS PRODUCT, AND THIS IS A SECOND INDEPENDENT CONFIRMATION OF THAT FINDING. specs/2017-18_SCOPE_MEMO.md section 7.6 and reference/caveats.csv CAV-037 established it on National Treasures, where cardboardconnection carried a variation-layer fact checklistcenter lacked. On Cornerstones they diverge in two further checkable directions, both times with checklistcenter right: cardboardconnection says "Downtown Set Checklist: 10 cards." where checklistcenter says "20 Cards - 1 Per Case" and tcdb and sportscardspro both render 20; and cardboardconnection merges Cornerstones and Legendary Cornerstones into one 57-card heading where checklistcenter splits them 42 and 15 exactly as tcdb does. checklistcenter also carries a per-card serial exception cardboardconnection does not have for that set - "38 Cards - Serial Numbered #/199 (*Hart #/80)" - which matches the tcdb token census row for row. Two sites copying each other cannot do that three times in one product. The standing reading holds - one lineage, both descending from Panini's sell sheet, not interchangeable - and on THIS product checklistcenter was the stronger of the two on counts, consistent with the memo. A fourth source, dacardworld, sits off that lineage entirely and reproduces sell-sheet ceiling language the editorial pair paraphrase. checklistcenter's page was reached from a search result, never a constructed path, per CAV-037; note its slug for this product DOES carry "panini" (/2017-18-panini-cornerstones/) where the National Treasures one does not, which is one more datum for that caveat's "no derivable rule". - G-016 CARD-LEVEL CHECKLISTS FOR THE THIRTEEN INSERT AND AUTOGRAPH SETS ARE NOT WRITTEN HERE - that is the separate pass governed by CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC.md and insert_cards.csv is deliberately absent. Recording what this build already read so the chase pass does not pay for it twice, and flagging three traps in it. THE PREFIXES DO NOT CARRY OVER FROM 2018-19 AND ONE OF THEM CHANGED: this season's Cornerstones set uses a SINGLE-LETTER "C-" prefix (C-ABL, C-KDT, C-ZLV) where cornerstones-bkb-2018-19 records "CS-"; an agent inheriting the sibling season's prefix would be wrong on 42 codes. The others read: Legendary Cornerstones LC-, Franchise Foundations Signatures FF-, Keystone Signatures KS-, Pillars of Power Autographs PP-, Elusive Ink EI-1..EI-10, Memorabilia M-, Building Blocks Memorabilia BB-, Fractured Memorabilia FM-, Downtown DT1..DT20, Startups ST1..ST40, Unbreakables UB1..UB40. TWO CODES DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR SET'S OWN INITIALS CONVENTION and must be written verbatim rather than repaired: BB-ML is Markelle Fultz, and M-AG is Artis Gilmore while M-AGR is Aaron Gordon in the same set. The Rookie Cornerstones Autograph Relics block is numbered as plain integers 151-189 inside the parent, which is the opposite of Panini's usual letter-coding for an autograph set, so CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC requires marketplace corroboration before those integers are written as card numbers; this build did not seek it, because the block is a sets.csv row here and no card_number was written for it.
