- G-001 BASE SET SIZE - the 200-vs-240 question, decided independently of the 2019-20 sibling. tcdb's parent set page https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/191085/2018-19-Panini-Crown-Royale states "Total Cards: 240" and its Checklist.cfm?PageIndex=3 and Gallery.cfm?PageIndex=21 render cards 201-240 every one flagged "AU, MEM, RC, SN199". Those 40 cards are the Rookie Silhouettes autograph/memorabilia set, which ALSO has its own tcdb sid (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/197034/2018-19-Panini-Crown-Royale-Rookie-Silhouettes, "Total Cards: 40", rows 201-240 flagged "AU, MEM, SN199"). Against that, ALL FIVE base-parallel sids state "Total Cards: 200" (Crystal 196988, Crystal Red 196992, Crystal Purple 196991, Crystal Gold 196989, Crystal Platinum 196990), cardboardconnection states "200 cards." and checklistcenter states "200 Cards" with the range 1-200. EXTRACTION_SPEC section 5.3 (a set filed past base_set_size is EXCLUDED) is applied: base_set_size=200 and the 201-240 block is a separate auto set. NOTE FOR THE CATALOGUE: this is the same shape as crownroyale-bkb-2019-20's G-001 (100 vs 139 there), and that release also chose the exclusion convention, so the two seasons of this line agree. It remains a divergence from contenders-bkb-2019-20 (base_set_size=165, including Rookie Ticket autographs 101-165) and contenders-bkb-2021-22 (165), which use the opposite convention. Unlike 2019-20, 2018-19's two conventions do NOT disagree on the editorial side: no source consulted here states 240 as a base-set size - 240 appears only as tcdb's parent Total Cards.
- G-002 ROOKIE FLAGS ARE PARTIALLY SOURCED. tcdb renders an "RC" token on exactly 40 of the 200 base rows (3, 11, 13, 21, 23, 31, 33, 41, 43, 51, 53, 61, 63, 71, 73, 81, 83, 91, 93, 101, 103, 111, 113, 121, 123, 131, 133, 141, 143, 151, 153, 161, 163, 171, 173, 181, 183, 187, 191, 193). Those 40 are written rookie_flag=yes. The other 160 are UNKNOWN, NOT no: per EXTRACTION_SPEC section 3.2 a flag token that is absent from a rendering is evidence of nothing, and no source consulted prints a positive non-rookie designation. Corroboration for the yes rows: the RC token was read on two different endpoints (Checklist.cfm and Gallery.cfm) over the overlapping ranges 61-68 and 171-178 with identical results, on Checklist.cfm under both the default sort and ?sort=0, and the 40 RC players are the same roster as the 40-card Rookie Silhouettes and Rookie Jersey Autographs sets with exactly one substitution each way (base has Miles Bridges 113; the autograph sets have Jarred Vanderbilt instead).
- G-003 CROWN AUTOGRAPHS ROOKIES CARD COUNT CONTESTED, 36 vs 37. tcdb https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/196999/2018-19-Panini-Crown-Royale-Crown-Autographs-Rookies states "Total Cards: 36" and renders exactly 36 distinct CR- letter codes, enumerated in full in this run (CR-AHD through CR-ZSM, every row flagged "AU, SN149"). cardboardconnection states "37 cards. Serial numbered #/149." and checklistcenter states "Crown Auto Rookies Set: 37 Cards"; those two aggregators copy one another and may be one opinion. sets.csv records 36 because it is the only figure backed by an enumeration rather than a stated total. If it is wrong, the missing card is a 37th CR- code; the chase pass should probe for one rather than reporting 36/36 complete.
- G-004 PANINI'S CHOICE AWARD CARD COUNT - a source contradicting itself. cardboardconnection's section heading "Panini's Choice Award Set Checklist" is followed by "10 cards. Serial numbered #/99.", read on two differently-parameterised fetches of https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-crown-royale-basketball-cards. That string is byte-identical to the same page's Mamba's Choice line. Against it: the same page's own product summary reads 50, checklistcenter states "Panini's Choice Award Set: 50 Cards", and tcdb https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/197016/2018-19-Panini-Crown-Royale-Paninis-Choice states "Total Cards: 50" and renders 50 rows numbered 1-50. 50 is written. CONSEQUENCE FOR THE #/99: the "Serial numbered #/99" half of that same cardboardconnection line is therefore also suspect for this set and is recorded in sets.csv notes as a claim, not as a fact. The identical claim for Mamba's Choice and Rookie Royalty is NOT impugned - both of those counts reconcile with tcdb.
- G-005 BASE PARALLEL NAMING VARIANCE, THREE FORMS. tcdb names the five base-parallel sids "Crystal", "Crystal Red", "Crystal Purple", "Crystal Gold", "Crystal Platinum". cardboardconnection prints "CRYSTAL PARALLELS: Crystal #/99, Red #/49, Purple #/25, Gold #/10, Platinum 1/1." and checklistcenter prints "Crystal #/99; Red #/49; Purple #/25; Gold #/10; Platinum 1/1" - both bare colours under a family heading. The 2019-20 sibling release uses a THIRD form, colour-first ("Blue Crystal", "Red Crystal"), taken from Beckett, which is unreachable this run (beckett.com/news 302s to maintenance.beckett.com). parallels.csv uses tcdb's compound form because it is the longest source-printed form available for 2018-19 and because the bare colours collide by name with ten set-scope tiers in this same release. A resolver joining this line across seasons on parallel_name will not match 2019-20.
- G-006 NO PUBLISHED PACK ODDS FOR ANY SET IN THIS PRODUCT. Panini published no odds sheet for 2018-19 Crown Royale and no source consulted (cardboardconnection, checklistcenter, tcdb, diamondcardsonline) reprints an odds line. Only per-box averages exist: cardboardconnection "Each hobby box should have one autograph and one memorabilia card." and diamondcardsonline "1 Autograph" / "1 Memorabilia SILHOUETTES". Every sets.csv scarcity_tier, stated_odds, odds_evidence_url and odds_evidence_quote is therefore empty, and every parallels.csv scarcity_tier is empty. Per caveats CAV-005 an empty parallels.scarcity_tier means the scarcity pass never covered the row, which is accurate: it has not run here. Kaboom! is the product's marquee chase insert and was NOT written as case-hit, because the only statements available are about Kaboom! in general rather than about this release.
- G-007 SET-LEVEL UNIFORM PRINT RUNS CANNOT BE HELD BY THE SCHEMA. Six sets in this release are uniformly serial numbered and the figure is a property of the set, not of a parallel tier: Rookie Silhouettes #/199, Rookie Jersey Autographs #/199, Crown Autographs Rookies #/149, Mamba's Choice #/99, Panini's Choice Award #/99, Rookie Royalty #/99 (all from https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-crown-royale-basketball-cards; the #/199 and #/149 figures are independently corroborated by tcdb rendering "SN199" and "SN149" on every row of the corresponding sids; the #/99 figures are not, and the Panini's Choice Award one is separately suspect - see G-004). EXTRACTION_SPEC section 2.2 forbids putting a print run in sets.card_count and sets.csv has no print_run column, so each figure is carried in words in that set's notes and nowhere structured. Per section 2.3 these are not parallel tiers and no parallels.csv row was created for them.
- G-008 TWO SETS ARE SERIAL NUMBERED WITH A PER-CARD VARIABLE RUN, WHICH THE SCHEMA CANNOT EXPRESS. Crown Autographs (sid 196993) renders "AU, SN99" on CA-AAD, "AU, SN60" on CA-AHF and "AU, SN49" on CA-AMG; Silhouettes (sid 197037) renders "AU, MEM, SN99", "AU, MEM, SN49" and "AU, MEM, SN25" across its 20 rows. Both sets are PROVABLY serial numbered and have no single set-level figure. This is the state EXTRACTION_SPEC section 2.3 describes as inexpressible (serial_numbered=yes with print_run unresolved), so nothing is written in a structured field and the finding lives here. cardboardconnection prints no per-card runs for either set.
- G-009 NO FOTL EDITION FOUND FOR 2018-19, AND THE FINDING IS ABSENCE-BASED. The 2019-20 release has a "1st Off The Line" Premium Edition hobby box whose exclusive content is on-card autographs #/11. For 2018-19: cardboardconnection's page contains no occurrence of "First Off The Line", "1st Off The Line" or "FOTL"; a targeted web search returned a StockX page for "2019-20 Panini Crown Royale Basketball 1st Off The Line Premium Edition Box" and, for 2018-19, only "2018-19 Panini Crown Royale Basketball Hobby Box"; tcdb's Inserts.cfm for sid 191085 lists no Premium Edition sid among its 53 entries. No parallels.csv row carries channel=FOTL. This rests on absence across three sources, not on a positive statement that no FOTL box existed.
- G-010 CHANNEL IS PRESENCE, NOT EXCLUSIVITY, ON ALL 40 PARALLEL ROWS. The only channel statements found are cardboardconnection's "Each hobby box should have one autograph and one memorabilia card." and diamondcardsonline's product title "2018/19 Panini Crown Royale Basketball Hobby Box". Both place the product in hobby boxes; neither states that any tier is hobby-EXCLUSIVE, and no retail, blaster, mega or international configuration was searched for systematically. channel=hobby with channel_basis=sourced-presence on every row, per caveats CAV-010. Do not promote these to sourced-exclusive without a new citation. Separately: tcdb renders no serial token on the rows of Jerseys, Rookie Jerseys, Kaboom!, Mamba's Choice, Panini's Choice Award, Pacific Marquee, Power in the Paint and Rookie Royalty, while rendering SN tokens freely on Crystal, Crown Autographs, Crown Autographs Rookies, Rookie Silhouettes and Silhouettes. That is suggestive but was NOT used to write any value, because a second differently-varied fetch was not run on those sids.
- G-011 BECKETT WAS UNREACHABLE FOR THIS ENTIRE BUILD. https://www.beckett.com/news/2018-19-panini-crown-royale-basketball-cards/ returns HTTP 302 to https://maintenance.beckett.com/. Beckett is the third structural source the 2019-20 sibling used for this line - its base-set size, its parallel naming and its set counts all rest partly on Beckett there, and none of that is available here. Consequence: where this release cites "cardboardconnection and checklistcenter" as two sources, they may be one opinion (EXTRACTION_SPEC section 5.4). The base_set_size=200 call does NOT depend on them alone - five independent tcdb parallel sids state Total Cards 200 - but the insert and autograph card counts for Jerseys, Rookie Jerseys, Pacific Marquee, Power in the Paint, Kaboom! and Mamba's Choice rest on those two aggregators plus tcdb only.
- G-012 JERSEYS PRIME ROSTER MAY BE SHORT BY ONE AND THIS WAS NOT VERIFIED. cardboardconnection prints "PARALLEL CARDS: Prime #/10 (No Elvin Hayes*), Tags 1/1" for the 60-card Jerseys set, i.e. the Prime parallel is claimed to omit one player. tcdb sid 197006 (Jerseys Prime) was not fetched. Elvin Hayes does not appear in the first five or last five rows of the Jerseys base sid that were read. A similar shortfall IS confirmed on a different set: tcdb https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/197035/2018-19-Panini-Crown-Royale-Rookie-Silhouettes-Prime states "Total Cards: 39" against the 40-card Rookie Silhouettes base set, so parallel rosters in this product genuinely do differ from their base sets. No parallel roster count is recorded anywhere in this extraction; parallels.csv has no card-count column.
- G-013 CARD-LEVEL CHECKLISTS FOR THE 13 INSERT AND AUTOGRAPH SETS WERE NOT CAPTURED - out of scope for this pass per EXTRACTION_SPEC section 0 (CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC governs them). Prefix inventory observed in passing, for whoever runs that pass: Crown Autographs "CA-", Crown Autographs Rookies "CR-", Rookie Jersey Autographs "RJA-", Rookie Jerseys "RJ-", Jerseys "J-" (two-letter suffixes, e.g. J-AG Artis Gilmore), Silhouettes "SL-". Rookie Silhouettes is NOT letter-coded: it is numbered 201-240 inside the parent base numbering. Pacific Marquee, Power in the Paint, Panini's Choice Award, Mamba's Choice, Rookie Royalty and Kaboom! render plain ordinals. WARNINGS: (a) Rookie Jersey Autographs prints digit-bearing suffixes - "RJA-LW4" Lonnie Walker IV and "RJA-MB3" Marvin Bagley III, the same encoding the 2018-19 scope memo records for Prizm; do not repair them. (b) The Silhouettes page MIXES real SL- codes with bare ordinals in one column (SL-MTN, then "2", "3", "4", then SL-HOW), which is the documented placeholder pattern. (c) Rookie Royalty and Kaboom! render no card numbers in the rows that were read, only players.
- G-014 ENDPOINT MEASUREMENT CONTRADICTING THE SPEC: Checklist.cfm truncated at 69 rows of 100 on https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/191085/2018-19-Panini-Crown-Royale?PageIndex=1 - one row BELOW the floor of 70 that EXTRACTION_SPEC section 3.2 records as measured ("truncation at rows 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 77, 78, 80, 83 and 86 of 100 - the floor is 70"). The 69th row (card 69 John Wall) was itself cut mid-row, with the team missing. PageIndex=2 truncated at 74 on the default sort and at 78 under ?sort=0. Gallery.cfm?PageIndex=N was used to top up 69-100 and 179-200 and returned a full 10 tiles WITH TEAM AND RC FLAGS on every page fetched (5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 18, 19, 20, 21) - which is one more data point for the spec's open question on whether Gallery renders team: here it does.
- G-015 BASE PRINT RUN IS ASSUMED, NOT SOURCED. base_print_run=unnumbered / base_print_run_basis=assumed. No source consulted states in words that the base cards carry no serial number. The evidence is discriminative but indirect: tcdb renders a serial token on every row of all five Crystal base-parallel sids (SN99, SN49, SN25, SN10, SN1) and renders NO serial token on any of the 200 base rows across Checklist.cfm pages 1-2 (two sorts) and Gallery.cfm pages 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 18, 19, 20 - while the same parent renders "SN199" freely on rows 201-240. EXTRACTION_SPEC section 2.1 is explicit that this shape is 'assumed' and not 'sourced'.
- G-016 NO VARIATION SET WAS ESTABLISHED EITHER WAY. https://www.tcdb.com/Errors.cfm/sid/191085/2018-19-Panini-Crown-Royale returns "No errors or variations have been added for this set yet." Per caveats CAV-020 that sentence is returned on sets which provably DO have errata, so it discriminates nothing and is recorded here as no evidence rather than as a clean result. What does survive on its own: the parent renders 240 rows over 240 distinct numbers with no duplicated number and no letter-suffixed row anywhere in 1-240, across Checklist.cfm and eleven Gallery.cfm pages, so the base run's contiguity rests on that enumeration and not on Errors.cfm.
- G-017 SET NAME VARIANCE ACROSS SOURCES - sets.csv picks one form per set and this records the others. "Rookie Silhouettes" (tcdb) is "Rookie Silhouettes Autograph Jersey RPA" (cardboardconnection) and "Rookie Silhouettes Auto Jersey RPA Set" (checklistcenter). "Silhouettes" (tcdb) is "Silhouettes Autograph Jersey" (cardboardconnection) and "Silhouettes Auto Jersey Set" (checklistcenter); note the 2019-20 sibling release files the equivalent set as "Silhouettes Autographs", so a name-keyed join across the two seasons of this line will not match. "Panini's Choice Award" (cardboardconnection, checklistcenter) is "Panini's Choice" on tcdb. "Crown Autographs" / "Crown Autographs Rookies" (tcdb, cardboardconnection) are "Crown Autos Set" / "Crown Auto Rookies Set" on checklistcenter. "Jerseys" and "Rookie Jerseys" are singular on checklistcenter ("Jersey Set", "Rookie Jersey Set").
- G-018 SID BLOCK PROVED AT BOTH BOUNDARIES, WITH ONE MEMBER OUTSIDE IT. tcdb's Inserts.cfm for sid 191085 lists 53 entries: "Parallel Sets (5)" (sids 196988-196992) and "Insert Sets (48)". 52 of the 53 occupy the contiguous run 196988-197039 with no interior gap; the 53rd, Rookie Jersey Autographs, sits at 204061, far outside. Both boundaries of the contiguous run were probed and are foreign products: https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/196987/probe-boundary-low is "1991-92 Upper Deck Sheets" and https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/197040/probe-boundary-high is "2006-07 Ohio State Buckeyes". The arithmetic reconciles exactly: 48 insert entries = 13 sets + 35 set-scope parallels, and 5 parallel entries = the 5 base-set parallels, so 40 parallels.csv rows account for every parallel tcdb catalogues. Per CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC a reconciling count bounds the search and does not prove the composition - and it says nothing about tiers tcdb does not carry at all.
- G-019 SOURCE CALIBRATION RESULT, recorded so the next pass does not repeat it. cardboardconnection was tested on questions answerable inside tcdb before being trusted on ones that are not. It PASSED on print runs 8 for 8: all five base Crystal tiers (#/99, #/49, #/25, #/10, 1/1 against tcdb's SN99, SN49, SN25, SN10, SN1) and three set-scope Prime tiers (Rookie Silhouettes Prime #/25 vs SN25, Rookie Jersey Autographs Prime #/25 vs SN25, Silhouettes Prime #/10 vs SN10). It FAILED on one card count (Panini's Choice Award, G-004) and disagrees on a second (Crown Autographs Rookies, G-003). Read as: reliable on this release's print runs, not reliable on its counts. checklistcenter agrees with cardboardconnection on every count except Panini's Choice Award, which is consistent with the two being one upstream.
