- G-001 cardboardconnection.com/2022-23-panini-crown-royale-basketball-nba-cards is robots-disallowed to the fetcher and beckett.com/news/2022-23-panini-crown-royale-basketball-cards/ returns HTTP 403, so two of the primary reference sources could not be read for this release. All figures rest on checklistcenter, cardsmithsbreaks, tcdb, gogts, paniniamerica.net and retailer product pages.
- G-002 Regal Achievements Signatures card count is contested: checklistcenter says 20, cardsmithsbreaks says 10. Recorded as UNKNOWN. No reachable third source.
- G-003 Asia parallel print runs conflict between Panini/retailer sell-sheet copy and the produced cards. dacardworld and steelcitycollectibles (Asia Tmall box) both say 'Base Asia (#'d/88)' and 'Base Asia Gold (#'d/10)', while tcdb (SN18 / SN8), checklistcenter (/18, /8) and the eBay catalog ('Jalen Williams #82 Asia Silver /18') say /18 and /8. Recorded /18 and /8.
- G-004 No checklist source (checklistcenter, cardsmithsbreaks, tcdb) prints RC designations for the base set, so rookie_flag is UNKNOWN for all 100 cards. eBay catalog entries do show '(RC)' on individual 2022 draft-class base cards (e.g. #2 Walker Kessler, #60 Bennedict Mathurin, #82 Jalen Williams), which implies rookies are inside the base numbering, but no complete RC list was found.
- G-005 Base parallel naming order is inconsistent across sources. Panini's own sell sheet (gogts, paniniamerica.net, cherrycollectables) prints 'Base Crystal Blue / Base Crystal Pink / ...'; checklistcenter prints 'Crystal ... Blue'; the eBay/market catalog prints 'Blue Crystal /99', 'Pink Crystal /75'. Recorded using the Panini sell-sheet order minus the redundant 'Base' prefix.
- G-006 channel values 'Asia / Tmall international box' and 'Lucky Envelopes pack' are not in the allowed channel vocabulary (hobby|retail|blaster|mega|fanatics-exclusive|choice|FOTL|multi|UNKNOWN), so Asia Red, Asia Silver, Asia Gold and Lucky Envelopes are recorded as UNKNOWN with the real SKU documented in visual_notes. - G-007 Rookie Silhouettes set name is contested: checklistcenter calls it 'Rookie Silhouettes Signatures'; cardsmithsbreaks, sportscardinvestor and the eBay catalog call it 'Rookie Silhouettes'. Similar minor naming variance on Crown Auto/Crown Autographs, Rookie Crown Auto/Rookie Crown Autographs and Silhouettes/Silhouettes Signatures.
- G-008 tcdb models the Rookie Silhouettes cards (#101-140) inside its base checklist (sid 360175, 'Total Cards: 140'), which contradicts the 100-card base set given by checklistcenter and cardsmithsbreaks. Resolved in favour of 100 using card-level evidence ('Rookie Silhouettes Jalen Duren #139 /199 (AU, MEM, RC)'), but the modelling disagreement is unresolved at source.
- G-009 No manufacturer-published pull odds (wrapper odds / odds sheet) were found for ANY set in this release. Panini's sell-sheet copy only says Kaboom! is 'super-short printed'; the only numeric pull-rate figure found anywhere is cardlines' editorial estimate '(1 in 16)', which was NOT recorded as stated_odds.
- G-010 scarcity_parallels.csv is intentionally empty: no source publishes pull odds for any base parallel. Per-box/per-pack guarantees exist (FOTL box: '1 of the following FOTL parallels'; Asia box: '1 Exclusive Parallel ... per box on average'; Lucky Envelopes: 'Each Pack contains Two Parallels #'d to 8!') but these are SKU guarantees, not odds, and assigning a tier from them would be inference.
- G-011 Kaboom! parallel ladder may be incomplete. Only Kaboom! Gold #/10 is documented (checklistcenter, cardsmithsbreaks, goldin.co, sportscardinvestor). No Asia or FOTL Kaboom! parallel was found, but neither cardboardconnection nor beckett could be consulted to confirm the ladder is exhaustive.
- G-012 RESOLVED-PENDING-HUMAN-EDIT: Regal Achievements Signatures card_count is still UNKNOWN in sets.csv, but this pass ESTABLISHED IT AS 10 from rendered evidence. sets.csv was NOT edited (a count established by research is a finding for a human to apply, not a silent correction). EVIDENCE: (1) tcdb base set page https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/367587/2022-23-Panini-Crown-Royale-Regal-Achievements-Signatures renders 'Total Cards: 9' and exactly 9 RAS- coded rows. (2) tcdb FOTL parallel page https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/367588/2022-23-Panini-Crown-Royale-Regal-Achievements-Signatures-FOTL renders 'Total Cards: 10' and exactly 10 rows - the same 9 plus RAS-KAT Karl-Anthony Towns. (3) checklistcenter https://www.checklistcenter.com/2022-23-panini-crown-royale-basketball-card-checklist/ lists exactly TEN named players in its Regal Achievements Signatures section (Ja Morant, Stephen Curry, Evan Mobley, Karl-Anthony Towns*, Anthony Edwards, Jalen Green, RJ Barrett, Jayson Tatum, Dwyane Wade, Larry Bird) - name-for-name identical to the tcdb FOTL page - and annotates the section '20 Cards - Serial Numbered #/49 (*No Towns)', asterisking Towns. The '*No Towns' annotation explains the base page's 9 exactly: Towns has no base #/49 version and exists only in the FOTL tier. (4) cardsmithsbreaks says 10 per the sets.csv note. WHY checklistcenter's '20' IS REJECTED: it is contradicted by that same page's own 10-name list. On this release checklistcenter's header count equals the number of names it lists for every other section checked (Crown Auto 60, Rookie Crown Auto 39, Future Kings 40, Crown Jewel 9, Kings Court Jersey Auto 26, Majestic 18, Royal Signatures 19, Silhouettes 22, Rookie Silhouettes 40, Coat of Arms 19, Heirs 40, Knights 29, Monarch 10); Regal Achievements is the ONLY section where header != list length, which is the documented 'aggregator section headers lie' failure mode. 10 rows written to insert_cards.csv. ACTION FOR A HUMAN: set sets.csv card_count for Regal Achievements Signatures to 10 (note that the base #/49 version is 9 cards; the 10th, RAS-KAT, is FOTL-only).
- G-013 Crown Jewel Signatures is INCOMPLETE: 8 of 9 rows written. The 9th card is withheld because tcdb stores the literal string 'TBD' in its card-number column for it, which is a catalogue placeholder and not a printed number. Verbatim from https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/367549/2022-23-Panini-Crown-Royale-Crown-Jewel-Signatures : 'TBD ... Charles Barkley AU, SN49'. THE MISSING PLAYER IS CHARLES BARKLEY (Philadelphia 76ers). Errors.cfm was checked at https://www.tcdb.com/Errors.cfm/sid/367549/2022-23-Panini-Crown-Royale-Crown-Jewel-Signatures and returned an ordinary checklist page with no errata annotation, so the TBD is unresolved rather than evidenced absence. The set has no parallel tier on tcdb other than Crown Jewel Signatures FOTL (sid 367550), which was not reached this pass - that is the cheapest next step for recovering Barkley's printed code. sets.csv card_count of 9 is CORRECT and corroborated by checklistcenter https://www.checklistcenter.com/2022-23-panini-crown-royale-basketball-card-checklist/ ('9 Cards - Serial Numbered #/49').
- G-014 SOURCING CAVEAT on 11 rows across 6 sets: tcdb's BASE set page is short for six sets in this release, and the missing cards were recovered from a PARALLEL tier page (spec 1d) rather than from the base page. Each recovered card is independently corroborated by checklistcenter https://www.checklistcenter.com/2022-23-panini-crown-royale-basketball-card-checklist/, which names the player in the set roster AND asterisks them in the section header as having no base serial-numbered version. The pattern is exact on all six: tcdb base count = checklistcenter count minus the number of asterisked players. Crown Autographs: base sid 367540 renders 59, checklistcenter says '60 Cards - Serial Numbered #/99 or as Noted (*No Jackson)'; CA-RJS Reggie Jackson recovered from Platinum sid 367546 (Total Cards 60). Majestic Signatures: base 17, '18 Cards ... (*No Parker)'; MS-TPK from FOTL sid 367574. Royal Signatures: base 16, '19 Cards ... (*No Hill, Parker, Oladipo)'; RS-GRH/RS-TPK/RS-VOD from FOTL sid 367612. Silhouettes: base 19, '22 Cards ... (*No Stephenson, Oladipo, Okongwu)'; S-LSP/S-OKO/S-VOD from FOTL Premium sid 367615. Kings Court Jersey Auto: base 23, '26 Cards ... (*No Valanciunas, Hunter, Hardaway)'; KCJ-DAH/KCJ-THW from Prime sid 367568 and KCJ-JVC from Super Prime sid 367569. Regal Achievements Signatures: base 9, '(*No Towns)'; RAS-KAT from FOTL sid 367588. CONSEQUENCE FOR CONSUMERS: for these 11 cards the printed code is evidenced, but the card may not exist in the base serial-numbered version of its set. All 6 sets now reconcile to sets.csv exactly.
- G-015 Crown Autographs carries TWO printed card numbers that each sit on two different players. Both are written as separate rows (chase_cards is unique on set_id + card_number + player_name). Verbatim from https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/367540/2022-23-Panini-Crown-Royale-Crown-Autographs?PageIndex=5 : 'CA-LWK - Lenny Wilkens - St. Louis Hawks' and 'CA-LWK - Lonnie Walker IV - Los Angeles Lakers'; 'CA-MSM - Marcus Smart - Boston Celtics' and 'CA-MSM - Moses Moody - Golden State Warriors'. Both read as GENUINE initials collisions rather than data-entry smears: each code is a plausible fit for both players (Lenny WilKens / Lonnie WalKer, Marcus SMart / MoSes Moody), each appears on exactly two players (not four or more), and both pairs render identically on the base ViewSet page and the Gallery page. Not withheld. Note this makes card_number non-unique within this set, which is expected and correct.
- G-016 RUN SUMMARY (chase checklist pass, 2026-09-11): 480 rows appended to insert_cards.csv across the 19 previously unstarted sets, against 471 catalogued cards plus Regal Achievements Signatures (established at 10, see G-012) = 481 expected; 480 written, the single shortfall being Charles Barkley's TBD row in Crown Jewel Signatures (G-013). 17 of 19 sets reconcile EXACTLY to sets.csv card_count. The pre-existing 25 Kaboom! rows were not touched. SOURCES: tcdb ViewSet.cfm/Gallery.cfm as the card_number source for every row; checklistcenter https://www.checklistcenter.com/2022-23-panini-crown-royale-basketball-card-checklist/ as an independent ROSTER corroborator only - it was confirmed to renumber this release's coded sets with its own non-contiguous slot indices (e.g. its Silhouettes section runs 2,3,5,7,8,9,10,12,... where the cards print S- codes), so it supplied no card_number. ENUMERATION COMPLETENESS: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/360175/2022-23-Panini-Crown-Royale listed 112 entries occupying sids 367524-367635 with NO numeric gaps (367635-367524+1 = 112), so nothing is hidden in the block; the listing did not truncate. NUMBERING SCHEMES FOUND (derived from this season's rendered pages only, not carried from an adjacent season): plain 1..N on the five non-relic inserts (Rookie Royalty 1-40, Sno Globe 1-20, Pillars of the Game 1-15, Test of Time 1-15, Hand Crafted 1-10); letter-coded on all 13 autograph/memorabilia sets (CA-, RCA-, FKS-, KCJ-, S-, RS-, MS-, CJS-, RAS-, HT-, KRT-, COA-, MM-); and base-continuation 101-140 on Rookie Silhouettes. NOTE the release contains BOTH plain and coded sets on the same endpoint, which is itself evidence tcdb is not renumbering (a renumbering source flattens everything to 1..N).
- G-017 Rookie Silhouettes has NO base sid on tcdb - confirmed against a complete, gapless Inserts.cfm enumeration (sids 367524-367635, 112 entries, no numeric gaps) in which only the Prime (367609), Super Prime (367610), FOTL (367607) and FOTL Premium (367608) tiers appear. The base set is filed INSIDE the parent base checklist sid 360175 ('Total Cards: 140') as a numbered block past the 100-card base run - the documented 'parent Total Cards exceeds base_set_size' shape, and the same modelling disagreement already recorded in G-008. Card numbers 101-140 were therefore taken from the Rookie Silhouettes Prime parallel https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/367609/2022-23-Panini-Crown-Royale-Rookie-Silhouettes-Prime (Total Cards 40, renders 40 rows numbered 101-140), a parallel printing the same numbers as its base card. Independently corroborated at card level by two marketplace titles already cited in release.csv: the eBay catalog entry '2022-23 Panini Crown Royale - Rookie Silhouettes Jalen Duren #139 /199 (AU, MEM, RC)' and sportscardinvestor '2022 Crown Royale #137 Rookie Silhouettes /199' (Bennedict Mathurin) - both land on exactly the player at that position in the rendered 101-140 run. 40 of 40 rows written; set reconciles.
