- G-001 SCHEMA EXPRESSIVENESS GAP, six rows. Six set-scope parallel tiers are PROVABLY serial numbered and have a PER-CARD VARIABLE run, a state the schema cannot hold because print_run and serial_numbered are forced to move together, so all six carry UNKNOWN/UNKNOWN - indistinguishable from "we found nothing", which is the exact collapse unknown_semantics exists to prevent. Every census below is a FULL enumeration of every rendered row, not a sample. Court Supremacy Material Signatures Gold, sid 195934, 25 rows: SN10 on 21, SN5 on CS-DLL, CS-JSK, CS-LBD and CS-RML. Peerless Jersey Autographs Gold, sid 195955, 59 rows: SN10 on 56, SN5 on PJ-DSF, SN8 on PJ-KBR, SN4 on PJ-SPK. Peerless Jersey Autographs Red, sid 195957, 60 rows: SN25 on 48, SN15 on 12. Peerless Jersey Autographs Silver, sid 195958, 45 rows: SN15 on 43, SN12 on PJ-JLN, SN13 on PJ-TCH. Reigning Threes Gold, sid 195966, 20 rows: SN10 on 15, SN5 on RT-KKV and RT-VCT, SN7 on RT-KTH, SN2 on RT-NVE and RT-RAN. With Authority! Material Signatures Gold, sid 195984, 20 rows: SN10 on 14, SN5 on the other 6. To resolve: a print_run_basis column, or permitting serial_numbered=yes with print_run=UNKNOWN. - G-002 AN UNHEDGED EDITORIAL PRINT RUN REFUTED BY ENUMERATION. cardboardconnection states flatly "Peerless Jersey Autographs Silver: 45 cards. Serial numbered #/15." - no ceiling word, no "or as noted". tcdb sid 195958 renders exactly 45 rows, so the COUNT matches precisely, and 43 of those rows read SN15 while PJ-JLN reads SN12 and PJ-TCH reads SN13. Had the tier been sampled at three rows it would almost certainly have produced a clean, confident, wrong integer of 15. The row therefore carries UNKNOWN. What would settle it: a marketplace listing title for a Jeremy Lin or Tom Chambers Peerless Silver showing the serial in hand. Sources: https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-dominion-basketball-nba-cards ; https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/195958/2018-19-Panini-Dominion-Peerless-Jersey-Autographs-Silver?sort=0
- G-003 FOUR EDITORIAL CEILINGS TESTED, FOUR CONFIRMED VARIABLE - none was promoted to a print run. cardboardconnection writes "Gold #/10 or #/5" for Court Supremacy Material Signatures, "Red #/25 or less, Gold #/10 or less" for Peerless Jersey Autographs and "Gold #/10 or less" for Reigning Threes. Row-by-row enumeration of all four tiers found multiple distinct serial values in every one, with Reigning Threes Gold running as low as SN2 against a stated ceiling of 10 and Peerless Gold as low as SN4. This is recorded because the catalogue holds older rows that wrote the ceiling and said so in their notes - Contenders Ticket Stub 77, Season Ticket Stub 50, Elite Red 99 - so a reader comparing releases will see the same evidence shape carrying opposite values. This build follows the current spec and writes UNKNOWN. Sources: https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-dominion-basketball-nba-cards
- G-004 THREE SET COUNTS WHERE tcdb AND cardboardconnection DISAGREED, ALL THREE RESOLVED THE SAME WAY, AND THE PATTERN IS WORTH KEEPING. In each case tcdb's own base sid rendered exactly one card fewer than cardboardconnection stated, under a self-consistent header, and in each case the set's own PARALLEL sid rendered the larger number including the missing card. Court Supremacy Material Signatures: base sid 195933 renders 28 under a header of 28, Platinum sid 195935 renders 29 under a header of 29, cardboardconnection says 29; card_count 29. Reigning Threes: base sid 195965 renders 19, Gold sid 195966 renders 20 including RT-THW, cardboardconnection says 20; card_count 20. Rookie Showcase Jersey Autos: base sid 195977 renders 37, Gold sid 195978 renders 38 including RS-CHS, cardboardconnection says 38; card_count 38. A self-consistent tcdb header agreed with its own rows in all three cases and was wrong in all three, which is a direct confirmation of the chase spec warning that internal consistency is not evidence. The residual doubt is Court Supremacy: its 29th row is not a coded card but a row whose card-number cell reads the bare ordinal "6" with no flag token, so tcdb plainly holds incomplete data for it and its identity is unknown. - G-005 rookie_flag=no was written on all 100 base cards rather than UNKNOWN, and the catalogue is SPLIT on this question, so the divergence is recorded rather than smoothed over. The evidence here is a within-parent positive discriminative control: tcdb sid 188542 renders the token "RC" on every one of cards 101-180 and on none of cards 1-100, across five fetches on two endpoints, so the renderer's RC designation is demonstrably live on the same page; independently, no player in the 1-100 run is a 2018 draftee - the latest draft class represented is 2017, whose rookie season was 2017-18. Among 2018-19 releases already built, noir-bkb-2018-19 and courtkings-bkb-2018-19 write yes/no, while opulence-bkb-2018-19, nattreasures-bkb-2018-19 and flawless-bkb-2018-19 write UNKNOWN on every base card. opulence-bkb-2018-19 is the closest structural analogue to this release and takes the other view. Per caveats CAV-003 most Panini checklist sources do not print RC designations, which is why the conservative convention exists; this build had a source that does. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/188542/2018-19-Panini-Dominion?PageIndex=1 ; https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/188542/2018-19-Panini-Dominion?PageIndex=2
- G-006 SECTION 5.3 EXCLUSION APPLIED, AND AN EXISTING RELEASE IN THE CATALOGUE USES THE OPPOSITE CONVENTION. This release sets base_set_size=100 and files cards 101-140 and 141-180 as separate sets.csv rows, because both blocks sit past the base run and are flagged RC or AU, MEM, RC. The same call is made by opulence-bkb-2018-19, which sets 100 and excludes its 101-125 and 126-150 blocks. But contenders-bkb-2019-20 sets base_set_size=165 INCLUDING its Rookie Ticket autographs 101-165, and contenders-bkb-2021-22 likewise sets 165 - same manufacturer, same evidence shape, opposite convention, and nothing in either release row tells a consumer which convention it is under. Recorded per EXTRACTION_SPEC section 5.3, which requires naming the disagreeing release and the exact figures rather than resolving it silently. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/188542/2018-19-Panini-Dominion?PageIndex=2 ; https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-dominion-basketball-nba-cards
- G-007 CHANNEL IS UNKNOWN ON ALL 45 PARALLEL ROWS, WITH AN EMPTY channel_basis ON EVERY ONE. No source consulted states a trade channel for this product or claims exclusivity for any tier. cardboardconnection gives only a configuration - "Product Configuration: 6 cards per pack, 1 pack per box, 6 boxes per case" - which describes a box, not a channel, and per caveats CAV-010 a single named channel value asserts EXCLUSIVITY, which nothing here supports. The empty basis is required by migrations/003_parallels.sql, which enforces that channel=UNKNOWN and a null basis move together; it is not a missing value. This matches opulence-bkb-2018-19, which wrote UNKNOWN on 53 of its 54 rows for the same reason. To resolve: a retailer or Panini page stating the product is hobby-only. Sources: https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-dominion-basketball-nba-cards
- G-008 BECKETT UNREACHABLE, SO THE TWO SOURCES BEHIND THIS RELEASE MAY BE FEWER THAN THEY LOOK. beckett.com 302-redirects to a maintenance page and returned no content, as caveats CAV-033 records for four other 2018-19 builds. A web search surfaced a beckett.com/news URL for this exact product, "2018-19 Panini Dominion Basketball Checklist, Team Set Lists and Details", so the page exists and is simply unreachable from this environment; it is the obvious first check when the site returns. Consequence for this release: the structural spine is tcdb and the editorial spine is cardboardconnection, and checklistcenter was NOT consulted - which is the honest position, since agents have repeatedly found cardboardconnection and checklistcenter to agree near verbatim and to be one editorial lineage rather than two. Where this build says two sources agree, it means tcdb and cardboardconnection, which ARE independent of each other. Sources: https://www.beckett.com/news/2018-19-panini-dominion-basketball-cards/
- G-009 SET-NAME DIVERGENCE BETWEEN THE TWO SOURCES ON TWO SETS, unresolved. tcdb renders "Quad Rookies" and "Reigning Threes"; cardboardconnection renders "Quad Rookies Relics" and "Reigning Threes Relics". This build writes the tcdb strings because the tcdb sid is the structural anchor that the parallel rows scope to, but no source was found showing what is printed on the cards or on the pack, and the fuller cardboardconnection form is the kind of name a resolver is also likely to meet. Both forms are preserved verbatim in the sets.csv notes. To resolve: a marketplace listing or a product image showing the set name as printed. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/188542/2018-19-Panini-Dominion ; https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-dominion-basketball-nba-cards
- G-010 TWO SET-LEVEL PRINT RUNS REST ON tcdb ALONE. Reigning Threes renders MEM and SN75 on every one of its rendered rows and Rookie Showcase Jersey Autos renders AU, MEM and SN49 on every one of its 37, but cardboardconnection states NO print run for either set - it lists only their parallels. Neither figure is corroborated by a second source, and with beckett unreachable no third structural source was available. They are recorded in the sets.csv notes in words, since sets.csv has no print_run column, and flagged here as single-source. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/195965/2018-19-Panini-Dominion-Reigning-Threes?sort=0 ; https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/195977/2018-19-Panini-Dominion-Rookie-Showcase-Jersey-Autos?sort=0 ; https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-dominion-basketball-nba-cards
- G-011 STRUCTURAL DIVERGENCE: TWO TIERS THAT ONE SOURCE CALLS SETS AND THE OTHER CALLS PARALLELS. cardboardconnection lists "Peerless Jersey Autographs Silver: 45 cards. Serial numbered #/15." and "With Authority! Material Signatures Gold: 20 cards." as sets in their own right, with their own card counts, while tcdb files both as parallel sids under their parent sets - 195958 and 195984. This build follows tcdb and carries both as set-scope parallels.csv rows, so they do NOT appear in sets.csv and a consumer counting sets against cardboardconnection will be short by two. The tcdb reading is supported by roster containment in both cases: the Silver 45 and the Gold 20 are both proper subsets of their parent rosters of 60 and 30. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/188542/2018-19-Panini-Dominion ; https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-dominion-basketball-nba-cards
- G-012 THE tcdb Inserts.cfm NOTES COLUMN ON THIS PARENT CARRIES IMAGE-COMPLETION PERCENTAGES, NOT PRINT RUNS, so the blank-annotation test documented in EXTRACTION_SPEC section 3.2 CANNOT BE RUN on this release and was not run. The four rows of the Parallel Sets section render "5.3% of images added", "0.0% of images added", "11.3% of images added" and "2.5% of images added". This is the Contenders / Hoops Winter shape, the fourth of the six behaviours that paragraph records, in which a non-blank cell is not a serial statement and a blank one would carry no information either. Every print run in this release was therefore taken from a row-level serial-token enumeration instead. Recording it so the next agent does not re-derive it. Source: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/188542/2018-19-Panini-Dominion?x=1
- G-014 THE tcdb FLAG COLUMN WAS LOST THREE TIMES ON THIS RELEASE AND IN BOTH DIRECTIONS, so no absence was ever written as evidence. Mammoth Materials sid 195948: ViewSet.cfm rendered no flag token on any of 20 rows while Checklist.cfm with sort=0 rendered MEM and SN75 on all 20. Main Exhibit Legends Autographs Gold sid 195943: the REVERSE - Checklist.cfm with sort=0 rendered no token on any of 30 rows while ViewSet.cfm rendered AU and SN10 on all 30. Rookie Materials Platinum sid 195973: Checklist.cfm with sort=0 rendered no token on any of 40 rows and additionally replaced every card number with a bare ordinal, while ViewSet.cfm rendered the real RM- codes with MEM and SN1. A fourth instance is row-level rather than whole-set: Gallery.cfm PageIndex=9 with sort=0 on the base Platinum sid 195930 rendered no token on rows 81-90 while two other fetches of those same rows rendered SN1. Neither endpoint is the reliable one - the loss is per-fetch - and in every case writing unnumbered off the silent reading would have been FALSE rather than merely unsupported. - G-015 A PRIOR DOMINION SEASON IS IMPLIED BY THIS RELEASE'S OWN SOURCE AND IS OUTSIDE THIS CATALOGUE. The 2018-19 scope memo quotes cardboardconnection describing the product as "Back again after an unexpected appearance last season", which asserts a 2017-18 Panini Dominion NBA release. It was deliberately NOT chased, per the task scope. Two things were checked so the next agent need not repeat them. First, the section 5.5 mirror: every one of the 57 entries tcdb files under this parent - 53 insert entries and 4 parallel entries, sids 195929 through 195985 - was enumerated by name and every one renders a "2018-19 Panini Dominion" heading, so NO 2017-18 subset is filed under this parent and none was excluded. That check is complete for the listing sections but the Inserts.cfm page head was never read on its own, and the scope memo records that heads on some parents carry prior-season contamination, so the check is not total. Second, no other Dominion release directory exists anywhere in data/, so this release has no sibling season to inherit from or contradict - every value in it was sourced independently. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/188542/2018-19-Panini-Dominion ; https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-panini-dominion-basketball-nba-cards
- G-017 WARNING FOR THE CHASE CHECKLIST PASS ON THIS RELEASE, recorded now because it was observed while enumerating serial tokens and would otherwise cost the next agent the same fetches. Several tcdb pages here render BARE ORDINALS in the card-number column in place of the real letter codes, which is the documented placeholder shape: Main Exhibit Autographs Platinum sid 195941, Main Exhibit Legends Autographs Platinum sid 195944, Main Exhibit Rookie Autographs Platinum sid 195947, Peerless Jersey Autographs Platinum sid 195956, Rookie Showcase Jersey Autos Platinum sid 195979 and With Authority! Material Signatures Platinum sid 195985 all rendered 1..N, while their own base sids rendered real ME-, ML-, MR-, PJ-, RS- and WA- codes for the same players - so the parallel-page test runs BACKWARDS on this release and the base pages are the good source. Two further traps in the codes themselves. Main Exhibit Legends Autographs renders a genuine card code that reads exactly like a placeholder string, "ML-TBD", on a real row alongside 29 other coded rows - it is a player initialism, not an unfilled cell, and must not be discarded on sight. And the digit-bearing Roman-numeral suffixes the scope memo records for Prizm appear here too, in at least four sets: "MR-LW4" and "MR-MB3" in Main Exhibit Rookie Autographs, "RR-LW4" and "RR-MB3" in Regal Rookie Signatures, and the same pair in Rookie Materials and Rookie Showcase Jersey Autos. They are printed and must not be normalized. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/195942/2018-19-Panini-Dominion-Main-Exhibit-Legends-Autographs ; https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/195945/2018-19-Panini-Dominion-Main-Exhibit-Rookie-Autographs ; https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/195941/2018-19-Panini-Dominion-Main-Exhibit-Autographs-Platinum?sort=0
- G-018 ONE tcdb PARALLEL SID CARRIES THREE DIFFERENT PRINT RUNS AND HAD TO BE SPLIT ACROSS THREE ROWS. Because Rookies Metal and Rookie Jersey Autographs have no sids of their own and live inside the parent checklist as cards 101-140 and 141-180, their colour parallels also live inside the parent-level parallel sids. tcdb sid 195929 "Gold" has a header of "Total Cards: 180" and renders SN25 on cards 1-100 but SN10 on 101-180, so a single reading of that sid as one base-set parallel would have recorded 180 cards at one print run and been wrong about 80 of them. It is carried here as three rows - base-set at 25, set:Rookies Metal at 10, set:Rookie Jersey Autographs at 10 - and sid 195930 "Platinum" is split the same way at 1/1 throughout. Sids 195931 "Red" and 195932 "Silver" render NO base-run rows at all - lowest card numbers 101 and 141 - so despite sitting under a heading called "Parallel Sets" on the parent they are not base-set parallels in any sense. A consumer counting base-set parallel tiers off that heading would get 4; the answer is 2. Recorded because the tcdb structure and the real product structure genuinely disagree here, and the scope split is this build's own reading of the card-number ranges rather than something any source states in words. - G-019 THREE OF THIS RELEASE'S FOUR PARALLEL NAMES DERIVE TO parallel_family=other, AND THAT IS THE CORRECT MECHANICAL RESULT RATHER THAN A GAP IN THE RESEARCH. family_of in pipeline/fix_schema.py maps "Platinum" to Platinum, but "Gold", "Red" and "Silver" match no entry in the ordered FAMILIES list and fall through to other - 25 of this release's 45 rows. Dominion's ladder is a plain colour ladder with no finish name, so there is no visual family to mint and none was minted; the values were derived by lifting CHANNEL_CLASS and family_of out of fix_schema.py by AST so the repo still holds exactly one definition of the rule. Flagging it only because a consumer filtering parallel_family will find this release almost entirely under other, per caveats CAV-019 and CAV-021 which already record that the column mixes finishes with other kinds of value. No entry was added to FAMILIES. Source: pipeline/fix_schema.py in this repository
