- G-001 Release date disagreement: cardboardconnection.com and checklistcenter.com both state 2020-12-23; backbenchers.org states 2020-11-04 (framed as a pre-release/tentative date). Used the two-source date.
- G-002 Cards 86-100 of the Main subset are single-sourced to checklistcenter.com. A same-range fetch of tcdb.com's own paginated checklist returned the players from cards 51-60 mis-mapped onto card numbers 90-100 (a caught duplication/seam error) and was discarded rather than used.
- G-003 Team USA cards 190-200 are single-sourced to checklistcenter.com; tcdb.com's checklist page truncated before card 190 on every fetch attempt and could not corroborate this tail.
- G-004 Minor card-count disagreement (typically 1-5 cards) appeared across repeated fetches of the same aggregator pages for several autograph/relic sets (e.g. Championship Tags Autographs, Flawless Patch Autographs, Momentous Autographs). Likely fetch/summarization noise rather than a real source dispute; modal value used in each case.
- G-005 Sources consistently tie 'Bronze' parallel to First-Off-The-Line boxes specifically (not general hobby), but no source gives a separately named general-release Bronze; treated as FOTL-exclusive.
- G-006 PARTIAL: 11 of 28 cards written. tcdb's page for this set prints a real letter code on only some rows; the rest of the card-number column holds bare ordinals and, on some rows, the literal string 'TBD' - tcdb placeholders, not printed numbers. Confirmed placeholders rather than a numeric scheme: breakninja.com renumbers this release 1..N (its Flawless Autographs page shows 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9... where the cards print FA-AAD, FA-ABD, ...), so bare ordinals on this product are an internal sequence. Only the coded rows were written. Source: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/255504. The 17 unwritten cards have known players (De'Aaron Fox, LaMarcus Aldridge, Stephen Curry, Admiral Schofield, Grant Williams, De'Andre Hunter, Matthew Dellavedova, Lauri Markkanen, RJ Barrett, Zach LaVine, Romeo Langford, Cam Reddish, Sekou Doumbouya, Anthony Davis, Nassir Little, Tyler Herro, Trae Young) but no sourceable card_number.
- G-007 PARTIAL: 10 of 20 cards written. tcdb's page for this set prints a real letter code on only some rows; the rest of the card-number column holds bare ordinals and, on some rows, the literal string 'TBD' - tcdb placeholders, not printed numbers. Source: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/255217. Unwritten players: Bam Adebayo, Coby White, Damian Lillard, Darius Garland, De'Andre Hunter, Dirk Nowitzki, Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, Rui Hachimura, Stephen Curry (the last carries the literal 'TBD' in tcdb's number column).
- G-008 PARTIAL: 9 of 18 cards written. tcdb's page for this set prints a real letter code on only some rows; the rest of the card-number column holds bare ordinals and, on some rows, the literal string 'TBD' - tcdb placeholders, not printed numbers. Source: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/255457. Unwritten players: Anthony Davis, Karl-Anthony Towns, Brandon Clarke, Jarrett Culver, Sekou Doumbouya, Coby White, RJ Barrett, PJ Washington Jr., Allen Iverson ('TBD' on tcdb). This is a 1/1 base-run set with no lower parallel tier, so the parallel-page test in the spec is unavailable and no marketplace listing surfaced for the uncoded rows.
- G-009 PARTIAL: 26 of 38 cards written. tcdb's page for this set prints a real letter code on only some rows; the rest of the card-number column holds bare ordinals and, on some rows, the literal string 'TBD' - tcdb placeholders, not printed numbers. Source: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/255464. Unwritten players: Charles Barkley, Kevin Garnett, PJ Washington Jr., Cameron Johnson, Stephen Curry, Brandon Clarke, Zach LaVine, Jaxson Hayes, Cam Reddish, RJ Barrett, Jrue Holiday, De'Andre Hunter. 1/1 set, no parallel tier, so no parallel-page test available.
- G-010 PARTIAL: 21 of 35 cards written. tcdb's page for this set prints a real letter code on only some rows; the rest of the card-number column holds bare ordinals and, on some rows, the literal string 'TBD' - tcdb placeholders, not printed numbers. Source: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/255505. Unwritten players: Chris Bosh, Coby White, Rui Hachimura, Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Karl-Anthony Towns, Larry Johnson, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, DeMar DeRozan, Darius Garland, D'Angelo Russell, RJ Barrett, John Wall ('TBD' on tcdb). 1/1 case hit, no parallel tier.
- G-011 PARTIAL: 8 of 15 cards written. tcdb's page for this set prints a real letter code on only some rows; the rest of the card-number column holds bare ordinals and, on some rows, the literal string 'TBD' - tcdb placeholders, not printed numbers. Source: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/255506. Unwritten pairings: D'Angelo Russell/Karl-Anthony Towns, Dirk Nowitzki/Steve Nash, Jaylen Brown/Jayson Tatum, RJ Barrett/Rui Hachimura, Jamal Murray/Nikola Jokic, Kawhi Leonard/Paul George, Giannis Antetokounmpo/LeBron James ('TBD' on tcdb). 1/1 case hit, no parallel tier.
- G-012 COUNT DISAGREEMENT: sets.csv states card_count 42; tcdb's checklist (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/255259) states 'Total Cards: 41' and lists 41 rows, all with real HP- codes. All 41 written. The 42nd card, if it exists, is not catalogued anywhere found. Not resolved in favour of either count - sets.csv was left untouched.
- G-013 COUNT DISAGREEMENT: sets.csv states card_count 41; tcdb's checklist (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/255499) states 'Total Cards: 40' and lists 40 rows, all with real VP- codes. All 40 written. The 41st card is not catalogued anywhere found. sets.csv left untouched.
- G-014 NAMING DISCREPANCY between our set_name and tcdb's subset title for the same set. 'Distinguished Autos' = tcdb 'Distinguished Autographs' (sid 255218); 'Horizontal Patch Auto' = tcdb 'Horizontal Patch Autographs' (sid 255259); 'Vertical Patch Auto' = tcdb 'Vertical Patch Autographs' (sid 255499); 'USA Basketball Autographs' = tcdb 'USA Basketball' (sid 255493). Card contents and counts match in each case, so these are the same sets. Rows were written under the sets.csv spelling byte-for-byte; sets.csv was not modified. Flagged so a resolver keyed on tcdb titles can alias.
- G-015 PREFIX COLLISION WITHIN ONE RELEASE, verified real and not a cataloguing error: both sets print the ES- prefix. Confirmed by two independent ebay.com listing titles - '2019-20 Panini Flawless - Excellence Signatures Kevin Durant #ES-KDR /25' and '2019-20 Panini Flawless - Enshrined Signatures Magic Johnson #ES-MJN Ruby /15'. Six codes are shared between the two sets and denote DIFFERENT cards: ES-BMD, ES-CML, ES-CMY, ES-RSP, ES-AHS, ES-KSW. (set_name, card_number) is therefore the only safe key for this release. Note the prefix is NOT stable across seasons: 2020-21 Flawless uses EXS- for Excellence.
- G-016 DUPLICATE CODES WITHIN A SINGLE SET, recorded verbatim rather than de-duplicated or altered: Momentous Autographs has MA-JRS three times (Jalen Rose, Jason Richardson, Josh Richardson); Legendary Scripts has LS-JRS twice (Jalen Rose, Jason Richardson); Premium Ink has PI-JRS twice (Jalen Rose, Jason Richardson); Flawless Patch Autographs has PA-RHM twice (Richard Hamilton, Rui Hachimura); Patches has P-DGR twice (Danny Green, Draymond Green). Each set's tcdb row count matches sets.csv card_count exactly, so these are not duplicated rows - but a three-way MA-JRS collision is unusual enough that at least one suffix is likely mis-transcribed by tcdb. Unresolved: no marketplace listing surfaced for the specific colliding cards. Treat these card_numbers as lower-confidence than the rest of the release.
- G-017 ANOMALOUS CODE: tcdb prints 'CT-JTL' for Jordan Poole. The suffix matches neither his initials nor the RA-JPL suffix the same release uses for Jordan Poole in Rookie Autographs. Written verbatim per spec (codes are not derivable from initials and must never be 'fixed'), but flagged as possibly a tcdb transcription error. No marketplace listing found to settle it.
- G-018 UNCATALOGUED SUBSETS FOUND, reported not created: tcdb files an entire second product, '2018-19 Panini Flawless Update' (sid 255520) and its 'Update I' subsets (sids 426345-426509, roughly 70 base+parallel subsets), UNDER the 2019-20 Panini Flawless parent sid 243396. These include sets with no counterpart in our sets.csv at all - notably 'VS. Signatures Left' and 'VS. Signatures Right' (sids 426500 and 426505) and 'Flawless Excellence Signatures' (426356). They appear to be 2018-19 Flawless product distributed inside 2019-20 packaging rather than 2019-20 sets. No sets.csv row was added and no cards were written for them. Needs a scoping decision: separate release, or subsets of this one.
- G-019 NUMBERING SCHEME PARTIALLY INFERRED. The three gem inserts (Larry O'Brien Trophy Gems, NBA Logo Gems, Team Logo Gems) are the only sets in this release with plain 1..N card numbers, which per the spec is a renumbering smell on a memorabilia set. It was checked: a fanaticscollect.com listing title, '2019 Panini Flawless NBA Logo Gems Ja Morant ROOKIE 1/1 #4', matches tcdb's NBA Logo Gems #4 = Ja Morant exactly, so the plain scheme is real for that set. No equivalent marketplace listing was found for Larry O'Brien Trophy Gems or Team Logo Gems; their 1-10 numbering is written on the strength of the in-release sibling confirmation plus a clean contiguous run with no codes and no 'TBD' rows. Lower confidence than the coded sets.
- G-020 SOURCE CALIBRATION RESULT, recorded so a later pass does not repeat it. Calibrated on the coded set Flawless Autographs, not on base cards. tcdb Checklist.cfm PASSES: the base page (sid 255237) and its own Ruby parallel page (sid 255238) print identical FA- codes for all 54 cards, and FA-MDV is corroborated by an ebay.com listing title. breakninja.com FAILS: its Flawless Autographs page renumbers the set 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10... in a completely different player order - note it has a HOLE at 7, which per the revised spec proves nothing either way and would have been mistaken for a genuine printed run under the old heuristic. beckett.com, cardboardconnection and checklistcenter were reachable only as search results and printed no codes. Consistent with the ultra-premium pattern: tcdb Checklist.cfm is effectively the sole source of card numbers for this release, and no aggregator may supply a card_number here.
- G-021 [DEMOTED 2026-09-03] Larry O'Brien Trophy Gems: 10 rows carrying bare ordinal card numbers 1-10 were written and have now been REMOVED from insert_cards.csv. Their own notes stated the plain 1..N scheme was INFERRED FROM A SIBLING GEM SET IN THE SAME RELEASE and was not verified for this set. That is inference, and the spec requires evidence or omission. tcdb shows a clean contiguous 1-10 run with no coded row to break the sort, and these gem sets have NO parallel page, so BOTH placeholder tests are unavailable -- and a clean sort is explicitly not clearance. Agents on 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 Flawless independently ABSTAINED on this same set for this same reason. ROSTER PRESERVED; the numbers below are tcdb ROW ORDER and must not be treated as printed card numbers: 1 Kawhi Leonard; 2 Kevin Durant; 3 LeBron James; 4 Stephen Curry; 5 Kevin Garnett; 6 Shaquille O'Neal; 7 Tim Duncan; 8 Magic Johnson; 9 Larry Bird; 10 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Source: checklist from tcdb.com https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/255517. TO RESOLVE: find one free-text marketplace lot title for THIS set carrying a card number (goldin.co /item/ or a fanaticscollect buy-now title -- NOT an eBay /p/ catalogue page, which inherits tcdb placeholders). That exact evidence was found for NBA Logo Gems in both seasons, so it is findable here too.
- G-022 [DEMOTED 2026-09-03] Team Logo Gems: 10 rows carrying bare ordinal card numbers 1-10 were written and have now been REMOVED from insert_cards.csv.
