2025-26 NBA Hoops (Topps)

• G-001 Base set size disagreement. checklistinsider, beckett, otia and ripped.topps all state a 300-card base set (#1-260 base, #261-270 Highlights, #271-300 All-Stars). cardsmithsbreaks and diamondcardsonline instead describe the base set as 260 cards, counting Highlights and All-Stars separately. Recorded as 300 (4 sources to 2) because both subsets sit inside the base 1-300 numbering.
• G-003 No mega box SKU could be sourced for 2025-26 Topps NBA Hoops. Only Hobby, Hobby Jumbo, Value/Blaster, Fanatics Blaster and Hanger appear at beckett, checklistinsider, otia, DA Card World, Steel City Collectibles and target.com; every 2025-26 Topps basketball 'mega box' hit found in search belongs to Topps flagship or Topps Chrome, not Hoops. Absence of a Hoops mega/cello SKU is therefore unconfirmed rather than positively established, and no Walmart-specific Hoops SKU was located at all.
• G-004 The Fanatics Blaster base parallel is printed under three different names: 'Fanatics Foil' (beckett, otia), 'Base Fanatics Parallels' (DA Card World) and 'Fanatics' (checklistinsider). Recorded as 'Fanatics Foil' (2 sources, and the most specific form).
• G-005 Unnumbered print runs are unannounced. beckett states verbatim: 'print runs for cards without serial numbers have not been announced.' The six unnumbered parallels (Rainbow, Pixel Burst, Light Burst, Green Hoops, Orange Hoops, Fanatics Foil) therefore carry print_run=unnumbered with pack odds only.
• G-006 The unnumbered hobby 'Rainbow' base parallel (1:3 Hobby, 1:2 Jumbo) is single-source (checklistinsider). No other source names an unnumbered Rainbow distinct from the serial-numbered Rainbow colour tiers, and it is not visually described anywhere. Its existence as a separate parallel is unconfirmed.
• G-008 Rookie designations could not be independently cross-checked. Only checklistinsider prints RC tokens; checklistcenter and diamondcardsonline carry no rookie markings at all, and beckett/otia name key rookies in prose without a per-card list. The 44 RC flags were confirmed only by re-fetching checklistinsider in independent narrow passes (results stable and reproducible).
• G-009 Several 2025 NBA draftees appear in the base set WITHOUT an RC token on checklistinsider, including #93 Drake Powell, #128 Egor Demin, #151 Sion James and #238 Yanic Konan-Niederhauser. rookie_flag is recorded as 'no' for these because that is what the source prints, but the omission may be a source error rather than a Topps designation.
• G-010 Insert set names are printed inconsistently across sources: 'Boom Shaka Laka' (beckett, ripped.topps, DA Card World, target.com) vs 'Boombastic' (checklistinsider, Steel City Collectibles); 'Dunkumentory' (beckett) vs 'Dunk-umentory' (checklistinsider, ripped.topps); 'Jam Packed' (beckett) vs 'Jam-Packed' (checklistinsider, ripped.topps); 'Net 2 Net' (beckett) vs 'Net To Net' (Steel City Collectibles). Beckett spellings used except for Boom Shaka Laka, where Topps first-party agrees with beckett.
• G-011 Insert card counts are single-source (beckett) for 13 of 16 insert sets. cardsmithsbreaks confirms only Finals Pursuit (100), Highlights (10) and All Stars (30); checklistinsider and ripped.topps name the sets but publish no counts. Autograph counts are multi-source (beckett + cardsmithsbreaks agree on all 8).
• G-012 'Pay Attention' (20 cards) is named only by beckett. It does not appear on checklistinsider, ripped.topps, cardsmithsbreaks or any retailer listing. Existence unconfirmed.
• G-013 'Base All-Star Variations' is named only by ripped.topps (Topps first-party) with no card count, no odds and no confirmation elsewhere. Typed as insert because variations sit outside the base 1-300 numbering; card_count left UNKNOWN.
• G-014 sportscollectorsdaily.com published no article on 2025-26 Topps NBA Hoops (only Topps flagship, Chrome and Bowman basketball), and cardboardconnection.com has no 2025-26 Topps NBA Hoops page, so neither of these requested sources could be used. beckett.com/news was reachable for this product (no 403).
• G-015 Player-name spellings differ between the two checklist sources. checklistinsider prints '111 Alperun Sengun' / 'Aliperun Sengun' in different passes while checklistcenter prints 'Alperen Sengun' and both agree on 'Alperen Sengun' at #291; recorded as 'Alperen Sengun'. Both sources print '36 Onyeka Okungwu' (the player is usually spelled Onyeka Okongwu); recorded as printed.
• G-016 Release date 2026-05-14 is the announced street date (checklistinsider, beckett, otia, Steel City Collectibles, DA Card World and target.com all agree), and beckett notes it is 'subject to change'. It was not re-verified against a post-release source.
• G-017 PER-SET PARALLEL TIERS: 4 of 25 non-base sets carry an enumerated tier note. The remainder returned NO dedicated parallel section on checklistinsider, the only source that calibrated cleanly for Topps products; a sample was confirmed absent by targeted per-name query rather than inferred from silence. Many appear to be plain unnumbered inserts that genuinely have no ladder. NOTE the source landscape here differs from Panini: tcdb's Inserts.cfm page, which carried this data for every Panini line, is NOT validated for Topps, and ripped.topps.com's Collector's Guide was caught FABRICATING a full rainbow ladder that a verbatim search disproved. Resolving further needs a first-party Topps odds sheet per product, not more scraping.
