Retailer product-page copy (Steel City Collectibles, majorsportscards.com, JP Sports, DA Card World) was used as the best available near-first-party channel evidence instead. No 2021-22 mega box SKU (the channel Sapphire/Yellow occupied in both prior seasons) was found anywhere despite dedicated searches. Sapphire does independently survive this season as a parallel-tier name within the Rookie Signs / Trophy Collection Signatures AUTOGRAPH sets' own parallel trees (confirmed by cardsmithsbreaks.com's separate 'Rookie Signs Sapphire' / 'Trophy Collection Signatures Sapphire' card counts). Resolved: parallels.csv excludes Sapphire and Yellow as base-set tiers on 3-source-vs-1 weight of evidence plus the corroborating absence of a mega box; checklistcenter.com's inclusion is treated as a likely leftover from its 2020-21 template rather than adopted. Card-count-level corroboration exists for the Rookie Signs / Trophy Collection Signatures Sapphire sub-tiers (cardsmithsbreaks.com), but no second independent source was found that explicitly enumerates each insert set's own parallel colors end to end.
• G-008 checklistcenter.com's parallel-tier extraction for these two hologram insert sets returned only the single word 'Gold' in each case, which reads as an incomplete/truncated capture rather than a genuine complete parallel list. Not promoted into a formal 'Has its own parallel tier (...)' note in sets.csv for either set, to avoid recording possibly-truncated data as fact.
• G-009 Career Lineage, Season Highlights, Double Vision, and Fantasy Matchups -- all present in both the 2019-20 and 2020-21 Illusions Basketball products -- do not appear in any 2021-22 checklist source checked (cardboardconnection.com, cardlines.com, beckett.com, cardsmithsbreaks.com, checklistcenter.com, tcdb.com). Logged as an apparent real season-over-season insert-lineup change (replaced by Chasing the Hall, Franchise Favorites, Intriguing Players, King of Cards, Mail Call, NBA 75th Anniversary Holograms, Operation Detonation, Rookie Holograms, and Tough), not an extraction omission.
• G-010 No 2021-22 Illusions Basketball mega box SKU was found anywhere despite dedicated searches (retailer sites, eBay/Amazon/Walmart listings), a change from both prior seasons which each had a confirmed mega box carrying the Sapphire/Yellow tier. See G-002 for how this bears on the Sapphire/Yellow base-ladder conflict.
• G-011 No manufacturer odds sheet, numeric pull rate, or 'X per case'/'1:N packs' language was found for any set or parallel in this release. Two insert sets (Tough, Rookie Holograms) are called short-print/'SP' by retailer and editorial copy (majorsportscards.com, cardlines.com) and tiered short-print in the scarcity pass, but with no stated odds. eBay marketplace listing titles use 'SSP'/'Case Hit' language for individual Tough insert pulls, but per the project's hard rule against tiering from marketplace copy, this was not treated as evidence for a case-hit/SSP tier.

Seven WERE confirmed and say so in their notes (Instant Impact, Intriguing Players, King of Cards, Operation Detonation, Rookie Reflections, Shining Stars, Tough). Cause: eBay is heavily catalogue-contaminated for this release. Three separate /itm/ pages that reached us via genuine-looking seller snippets were RETITLED to eBay's own catalogue form on fetch -- itm/385297591783 came back '2021-22 Panini Illusions - Shining Stars Cade Cunningham #20 (RC)' carrying the tcdb flag string (RC); itm/304778246171 came back '2021-22 Panini Illusions - Operation Detonation RJ Barrett #35' with NO flag string at all, detectable only by title-shape divergence from the snippet 'RJ Barrett Operation Detonation No.35 Insert'; itm/385725494751 came back '2021-22 Panini Illusions - Amazing Luka Doncic #8 Orange' against the snippet 'Luka Doncic Amazing Orange #8 Mavericks'. All three were rejected. Two promising small-retailer leads could not be fetched and so were not counted: sharkcitycollectibles.com ('2021-22 Panini Illusions Franchise Favorites Giannis Antetokounmpo #13') and burbankcards.com ('2021-22 Panini Illusions Rookie Holograms #3 Jalen Green RC') are both robots-blocked/404 on the indexed URL. Two Mail Call listings that matched tcdb (#19 Jason Kidd, #20 Steve Nash) had both been delisted (404) by fetch time. The nine runs remain plausible and triple-sourced (tcdb base page, tcdb parallel tier where one exists, cardboardconnection) but are recorded here as unconfirmed rather than as proven printed numbers.
• G-024 Two written rows each rest on a SINGLE tcdb page and have no second page anywhere: Rookie Signs 'RS-CCU' (Cade Cunningham) and Trophy Collection Signatures 'TC-ZWN' (Zion Williamson). Both appear only on their set's Sapphire tier (sids 351789 and 389961) and are absent from both the base page and the Emerald tier. Tier topology this release is NON-NESTED and the scarcest tier is the most complete, which is the shape the spec warns about: Rookie Signs renders base 39 / Emerald 38 / Sapphire 40, and Trophy Collection Signatures renders base 58 / Emerald 57 / Sapphire 59. sets.csv (40 and 59) sides with Sapphire, and because those two counts are attributed in sets.csv to cardboardconnection/cardlines/beckett rather than to a tcdb header, the sets.csv tiebreaker is ARMED and the extras are RECOVERY rather than parallel scope. Independent support for the 40th Rookie Signs card exists (cardboardconnection's Rookie Signs list runs to 40 entries and includes Cade Cunningham, though it renumbers the set 1..40 and so cannot supply the code); no independent support was found for TC-ZWN. Flagged so a later pass re-checks both codes against a second source.
• G-025 The tcdb sid arithmetic does NOT reconcile for this release and the shortfall is on our side, not tcdb's. Inserts.cfm on parent sid 327166 lists 98 insert-side sids + 17 base-ladder parallel sids = 115. Our data holds 21 non-base sets + 65 scope-bearing parallels = 86 insert-side, + 17 base-ladder = 103. The 17 base-ladder entries match parallels.csv name for name (including Starlight). The 12-entry excess is fully itemised: an 'Asia Red and Yellow' tier that tcdb carries and parallels.csv does not, on each of Amazing (328900), Chasing the Hall (328908), Instant Impact (328929), Intriguing Players (328921), King of Cards (328934), Operation Detonation (328952), Rookie Reflections (328771), Rookie Signs (351785), Shining Stars (328966) and Trophy Collection Signatures (389963) -- note sets.csv's own notes DO name 'Asia Red & Yellow' for these sets, so this is an ingest omission in parallels.csv rather than a disagreement -- plus a 'Gold' tier on NBA 75th Anniversary Holograms (328946) and on Rookie Holograms (328960), which independently corroborates the single word 'Gold' that checklistcenter.com returned for those two sets and that G-008 declined to promote. parallels.csv was not touched. Separately, no UNCATALOGUED tcdb subset was found: the 21 insert base sids map one-to-one onto the 21 sets.csv rows with no leftovers. Sid regime is scattered islands with foreign products interleaved -- probing the numeric gaps inside the main run found sid 328949 = '1989-90 Borussia Moenchengladbach Autogrammkarten' and sid 328950 = '1990 Big League Cards Boston Bolts', while 328947 and 328948 exist but render no cards (homepage bounce, not 404). Never compute a sid here by offset.
• G-026 Two of the five autograph checklists rest on tcdb alone; no independent source printing their letter codes was found. First Impressions Jersey Autographs (40 rows, FIJ-) and Rookie Retro Signatures (20 rows, RRS-). Every non-tcdb catalogue checked (cardboardconnection, checklistcenter, breakninja, cardsmithsbreaks) renumbers these sets 1..N and so cannot corroborate a code, and no marketplace seller title for either set survived the contamination checks. Rookie Retro Signatures additionally has NO parallel tier on tcdb, so the parallel-page cross-check was unavailable for it. By contrast Rookie Signs is independently corroborated by sportscardspro (prints RS-DWZ/RS-FWW/RS-HJJ/RS-TWN) and by sportscardinvestor (prints #RS-ARL); Superlatives Signatures and Trophy Collection Signatures are echoed by eBay /p/ catalogue pages carrying #SS-JKV and #TC-AIP, but eBay /p/ pages are tcdb-seeded and are therefore recorded here as circular rather than as corroboration. First Impressions Jersey Autographs carries the extra hazard that 2021-22 Chronicles Draft Picks publishes its own 'Illusions First Impressions Jersey Autographs' under the prefix FI-; the parent sid was confirmed before writing and no FI- row was written.
• G-027 tcdb renders the same player two different ways inside this one release and we could not settle which is printed on the card. A narrow verbatim Gallery.cfm re-fetch of the Amazing set (sid 328899) returns card 8 as “Luka Dončić” with diacritics (cids 19561137-19561146 run strictly sequential, so the row is genuine and not a cid artifact), while tcdb's Chasing the Hall, Illuminated, Intriguing Players, King of Cards, Mystique, Operation Detonation, Shining Stars and Tough pages, cardboardconnection, and our own base_cards.csv all render 'Luka Doncic' unaccented. The row was written as the Amazing page prints it and the divergence is recorded in that row's notes. Nothing was normalised. A later pass should decide the house rendering; this affects player_name only, never card_number.
