• G-001 "Team Slogans" reappeared as a phantom set name for this season: cardlines.com's preview article listed it in a descriptive rundown, and cardboardconnection.com's product-overview prose says "Other premium editions include Team Slogans", but no set of that name appears on either cardboardconnection.com's or checklistcenter.com's actual full checklist for 2021-22. REJECTED as a set name, consistent with the same phantom appearing in 2019-20 and 2020-21 preview copy. Not included in sets.csv.
• G-002 tcdb.com's "Total Cards: 139" was REJECTED for base_set_size -- it bundles the 39-card Rookie Patch Autographs subset into the base total (100+39=139). base_set_size=100 confirmed via card-for-card agreement between cardboardconnection.com and checklistcenter.com.
• G-003 Release date has a single-day discrepancy: cardboardconnection.com and checklistcenter.com agree on "January 18, 2023", corroborated by Panini's own blog announcing a 1/18 drop; cardlines.com's preview article instead said "January 19th, 2023". Went with the two-source date; cardlines treated as a single-source outlier.
• G-004 rookie_flag left UNKNOWN for all 100 base cards: neither cardboardconnection.com nor checklistcenter.com marked explicit 'RC' designations on the base checklist pages fetched.
• G-005 The following sets are single-source (checklistcenter.com only): Immaculate Award Winners, Immaculate Legends, Immaculate Milestones, Immaculate Rookie Introductions, Immaculate Signature Moves, Rookie Sneaker Swatch Signature Premium Edition, Scorers Club Signatures, Shadowbox Signatures, Brand Logos, Dual Patches Jersey Number, Logoman, Massive Memorabilia, Materials, Materials Red, Patches Jersey Number, Remarkable Jerseys, Remarkable Rookie Jersey (and Dual/Triple/Quad), Sneak Peek -- cardboardconnection.com's checklist page truncated before reaching these sets in every fetch attempted (~75-80 row truncation), so a second independent source could not be obtained for their card counts.
• G-006 Parallel-tier data could not be found in either fetched source for: Dual Autographs, Dual Logoman Autographs, Dual Rookie Logoman Autographs, Immaculate Award Winners, Immaculate Legends, Immaculate Milestones, Immaculate Rookie Introductions, Immaculate Signature Moves, Logoman Autographs, Quad Autographs, Rookie Championship Tags Autographs, Rookie Jumbo Brand Logo Autographs, Triple Autographs, Brand Logos, Dual Patches Jersey Number, Jumbo Patches Jersey Number, Jumbo Patches Nameplate Nobility, Jumbo Patches Team Logo. Left without a parallel-tier note in sets.csv rather than fabricate one -- genuinely may be that these particular auto/insert sets do not carry a named color-parallel tier in this era, or the data exists on a page section not reached by the fetches performed.
• G-007 "Materials Red" (27 cards, #/25) is listed by checklistcenter.com as its own checklist section separate from the 40-card "Materials" set (#/99 base, with its own Gold/Platinum parallel tier) rather than as a labeled color-parallel of it. Could not confirm from a summarizing fetch whether Materials Red shares the same player roster as Materials or is a genuinely distinct subject list; recorded as a separate set rather than folded into Materials' parallel tier.
• G-008 checklistcenter.com's "Remarkable Jerseys" section shows two card ranges under one heading: a 25-card #/99 base listing and an additional 11-card #/25 listing. Interpreted as the base 25-card set plus its own Red parallel tier (not all 25 subjects received a Red version), based on a summarizing fetch rather than a full raw card-level read -- flagged as provisional.
• G-009 tcdb stores BARE ORDINALS AS PLACEHOLDERS on the 1/1 and short-print chase sets of this release, exactly the failure mode the chase-checklist spec warns about. Proof is the sort order: coded rows render BETWEEN numbered rows on Checklist.cfm, so neither the numbers on either side can be printed card numbers. Examples: LMA-CBK renders between '33' and '35' in Logoman Autographs (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350117/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection); DR-JGK renders between '8' and '10' in Dual Rookie Logoman Autographs (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350095/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection); RBL-JKM renders between '7' and '9' in Rookie Jumbo Brand Logo Autographs (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350169/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection), re-confirmed by a verbatim quotation-marked re-fetch. Only the coded rows were written; the placeholder rows were OMITTED rather than stored as silently-wrong identifiers. Rows omitted for this reason, by set: Logoman Autographs 47 of 53, Dual Rookie Logoman Autographs 18 of 19, Sneak Peek 25 of 74, Brand Logos 12 of 30, Patches Jersey Number 12 of 48, Rookie Jumbo Brand Logo Autographs 9 of 19, Dual Patches Jersey Number 8 of 24, Rookie Championship Tags Autographs 6 of 19, Premium Patch Autographs 6 of the rows reached. The printed codes for those cards remain UNKNOWN.
• G-010 tcdb stores the literal string 'TBD' in the card-number column for cards it has catalogued but for which it has not recorded a printed code. Those rows were OMITTED (a 'TBD' is not a card number). Rows omitted for this reason, by set: Dual Autographs 5, Quad Autographs 4, Sneakers Swatches Signatures 4 (Julius Randle, Shaquille O'Neal, Larry Bird, Tony Parker -- 'TBD' in both the base subset https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350185/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection and the Platinum subset https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350187/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection, so the parallel-union technique recovered nothing), Patch Autographs 3, Rookie Sneaker Swatch Signature Premium Edition 3, Triple Autographs 2, and one each in Immaculate Award Winners (Chris Paul), Scorers Club Signatures (De'Aaron Fox), Shadowbox Signatures (PJ Washington Jr.), Brand Logos (Ayo Dosunmu), Logoman Autographs (Dejounte Murray), Rookie Championship Tags Autographs (Usman Garuba), Rookie Jumbo Brand Logo Autographs (Corey Kispert), Dual Patches Jersey Number (Anfernee Hardaway / Amar'e Stoudemire), Patches Jersey Number (Tyler Herro) and Sneak Peek (Anfernee Hardaway).
• G-011 Dual Logoman Autographs (8 cards per sets.csv): NO ROWS WRITTEN, full abstention. tcdb's checklist (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350093/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection) renders all eight rows as bare ordinals 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10 with no coded row anywhere in the set, so the interleaving test that proves placeholders elsewhere in this release cannot be run on it -- but its two sibling 1/1 Logoman families (Logoman Autographs, Dual Rookie Logoman Autographs) are demonstrably placeholder-contaminated in exactly this shape, and no marketplace listing title for a 2021-22 Immaculate Dual Logoman Autograph could be found to settle what is printed on the card. Writing 1..10 here would have been a guess. Player pairs ARE known from tcdb and can be recovered later if a printed code surfaces.
• G-012 Logoman (49 cards per sets.csv, the non-autographed 1/1 Logoman patch insert): NO ROWS WRITTEN. tcdb's set for it is sid 350116 (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350116/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection---Logoman, the URL returned by tcdb's own search index), but every fetch of that sid -- Checklist.cfm with three different slugs, ViewSet.cfm and Prices.cfm -- returned the tcdb HOME PAGE rather than the checklist, while neighbouring sids in the same block returned their checklists normally. No second source prints real codes on this release. Retry later; the sid is almost certainly correct.
• G-013 PATCH AUTOGRAPHS: sets.csv says 56 cards; 51 printed PA- codes were written. Two findings. (1) The union technique was run across the whole plain Patch Autographs family -- base https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350134/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection, Gold https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350135/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection, Jersey Number https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350136/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection, Red https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350138/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection and Tags https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350139/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection -- and every parallel is a subset of the same 51 codes, so the parallels added nothing; tcdb's own base subset totals 54 (51 codes + 3 'TBD'). (2) tcdb ALSO carries a separate 'Patch Autographs Premium Edition' family (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350137/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection, 56 rows, and 'Patch Autographs Tags Premium Edition' https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350140/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection, 53 rows) which uses the SAME PA- prefix with a DIFFERENT codeset: the same eight players are PA-ADL/PA-AIR/PA-CWB/PA-DAN/PA-GHL/PA-GHS/PA-NAS/PA-OLA there and PA-ADD/PA-VCT/PA-CBW/PA-DNG/PA-GRH/PA-GHR/PA-STN/PA-VOD in the plain family. sets.csv's 56 exactly equals the Premium Edition row count, but sets.csv's recorded parallel tier (Jersey Number, Red, Gold, Tag) exactly matches the PLAIN family, so the plain family was used. Which physical set checklistcenter.com's 56 refers to, and whether Premium Edition is a distinct set that belongs in sets.csv, is UNRESOLVED. The Premium Edition codes were deliberately NOT written under the 'Patch Autographs' name.
• G-014 PAGE-SIZE TRUNCATION on the four largest chase sets: tcdb's Checklist.cfm renders roughly the first 66 rows before the fetched page is cut off, and the same sid's Prices.cfm view (which has no team column) reaches roughly 71-74. Both were used and agree code-for-code on every overlapping row, but the tails are still missing: Jumbo Patches Jersey Number 71 of 99 (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350113/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection), Jumbo Patches Team Logo 71 of 95 (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350115/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection), Premium Patch Autographs 65 coded rows out of 96 (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350142/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection). Rows recovered only from Prices.cfm carry an EMPTY team_or_school rather than a guessed team, except in Premium Patch Autographs where the team was taken from the Gold Proof FOTL subset https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350144/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection which carries the identical PPA- codes. tcdb's ChecklistByLastName.cfm and ChecklistByAge.cfm views reach different rows and would have covered part of each tail, but the chase-checklist spec forbids sourcing card_number from those views and that prohibition was honoured -- see G-016.
• G-015 RESOLVES THE OPEN QUESTION IN G-007. 'Materials Red' (27 cards, #/25) shares BOTH the roster AND the card numbers of the 40-card 'Materials' set: all 27 of its ICM- codes (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350125/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection) are a strict subset of the 40 ICM- codes in Materials (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350122/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection). It is therefore a colour parallel of Materials on which only 27 of the 40 subjects received a Red version, not a distinct subject list. sets.csv still carries it as its own set row; that row was NOT changed here, but the parallel relationship is now sourced. tcdb also carries Materials Gold (35 rows) and Materials Platinum (40 rows), consistent with sets.csv's recorded Gold/Platinum tier.
• G-016 CONTRADICTS G-001. 'Team Slogans' was rejected as a phantom set name for this release on the grounds that it appears only in preview prose. tcdb carries an actual 20-card checklist for it: '2021-22 Panini Immaculate Collection - Team Slogans', sid 350198, sitting in the same contiguous sid block as every other subset of this product (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350198/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection). This is evidence the set is real and that G-001's rejection should be revisited. Its card numbers were NOT extracted and NO set row was added -- sets.csv is out of scope for this task.
• G-017 tcdb carries these further 2021-22 Immaculate subsets that have NO corresponding row in sets.csv, found by sweeping the release's contiguous sid block 350089-350199 and self-verifying each page heading: 'Swatches' 40 rows (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350194/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection, with Gold 31 / Platinum 40 / Red 27 parallels -- corroborated as a real set by the eBay title '2021-22 Panini Immaculate Collection - Swatches Shai Gilgeous-Alexander #IHS-SGT /99 (MEM)', https://www.ebay.com/p/10058652815, which also shows its prefix is IHS-); 'Sole of the Game' 25 rows (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350190/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection); 'Standout Memorabilia' 20 rows (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350191/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection Gold / https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350192/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection Platinum / https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350193/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection Red, base 20 rows); 'The Standard' 75 rows (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350199/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection---The-Standard); 'Sneak Peek - Brand Logo' 54 rows (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350181/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection), a fourth Sneak Peek variant alongside the Heel Logo / Laces / Tongue Logo tier sets.csv records; and 'Rookie Logoman Autographs' 39 rows (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350170/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection), which carries the same 101-140 run as Rookie Patch Autographs and so is a 1/1 Logoman parallel of it rather than a separate set. No sets.csv rows were added -- out of scope -- but these should be reviewed. Note the earlier truncation of cardboardconnection.com recorded in G-005 is a plausible reason they were missed.
• G-018 SOURCE-TYPO CARD NUMBERS WRITTEN VERBATIM, not normalised, per the spec's 'never fix case or punctuation' rule -- but flagged here because they are near-certainly tcdb data-entry errors rather than what is printed. (1) Sneakers Swatches Signatures: 'SSS=BJA' (B.J. Armstrong) uses an equals sign where all 24 sibling rows use a hyphen; identical in both the base subset https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350185/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection and the Platinum subset https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350187/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection. (2) Immaculate Signature Moves: 'IISM-CMA' (Carmelo Anthony) has a doubled leading I where all 17 sibling rows are ISM- (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/350108/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection). A resolver should probably also match SSS-BJA and ISM-CMA, but neither corrected form was written because no source was found showing the card in hand.
• G-019 SOURCE CALIBRATION RESULT for this release, recorded so a later pass does not have to redo it. POSITIVE: tcdb's Checklist.cfm prints the real printed codes here -- PA-SGA is confirmed by the Goldin lot title '2021-22 Panini Immaculate Collection Patch Autograph #PA-SGA Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Signed Patch Rookie Card (#16/25)' (https://goldin.co/item/2021-22-panini-immaculate-collection-patch-autograph-pa-sga-shai-gilgeko8w4), and ICN-DDB / ICN-JSO by '2021-22 Panini Immaculate David Duke Jr. Inaugural Ink ICN-DDB 10/99!' (https://www.ebay.com/itm/285380008183) and '2021-22 Panini Immaculate Collection Jalen Suggs Inaugural Ink Auto /25 ICN-JSO' (https://www.tradingcardsmarketplace.com/products/2021-22-panini-immaculate-collection-jalen-suggs-inaugural-ink-auto-25-icn-jso). NEGATIVE: (a) an eBay seller renumbers Inaugural Ink 1..N -- '2021-22 Immaculate Collection Inaugural Ink #23 Joe Wieskamp Auto /99' (https://www.ebay.com/itm/395010192138) -- so marketplace titles are not uniformly reliable either and must be read for a CODE, not a number; (b) tcdb's own ChecklistByLastName.cfm/sort/desc and ChecklistByAge.cfm views render a bare 1..N ROW INDEX in the card-number column for sid 350113 where Checklist.cfm renders the printed JP- codes -- the exact trap the spec describes, reproduced on this release. Confusingly, ChecklistByLastName.cfm WITHOUT the sort suffix rendered the real JP- codes for the same sid, so the view is inconsistent and was treated as unsafe for sourcing numbers throughout. (c) The tcdb sid block for this release (350076-350199) is contiguous and broadly alphabetical but NOT reliably so -- Remarkable Jerseys Red/Gold/Platinum (350148-350150) sort ahead of the base Remarkable Jerseys (350151) -- so every page was identity-checked against its own heading rather than inferred from position.
• G-020 SET-NAME SPELLING DIFFERENCES between sets.csv and tcdb, recorded rather than silently reconciled; sets.csv spelling was used byte-exactly for every row written. sets.csv '75th Anniversary Memorabilia' vs tcdb '75th Anniversary Memorablia' (tcdb typo); 'Sneakers Swatches Signatures' vs tcdb 'Sneaker Swatches Signatures'; 'Remarkable Rookie Jersey' (and Dual/Triple/Quad) vs tcdb 'Remarkable Rookie Jerseys'; 'Rookie Sneaker Swatch Signature Premium Edition' vs tcdb 'Rookie Sneaker Swatch Signatures Premium Edition'; 'Jumbo Patches Jersey Number' / 'Jumbo Patches Nameplate Nobility' / 'Jumbo Patches Team Logo' vs tcdb's hyphenated 'Jumbo Patches - ...'.
• G-021 RETROACTIVE RECOVERY SWEEP 2026-09-07 using two tcdb endpoints discovered after this release's checklist line was completed: Gallery.cfm?PageIndex=N (paginates at 10 cards/page, states the set's true total, prints the real codes, renders NO team) and Errors.cfm/sid/<N>/<slug>. METHOD: every page was index-aligned against an overlap row already on disk before any row was written, and every rendered list was counted by hand -- no fetch self-report and no tcdb 'Total Cards' header was trusted on its own. No existing row was altered, reordered or re-derived. ERRORS.CFM FINDING (release-independent, recorded in all six seasons): Errors.cfm returned 'no entries' on every Immaculate sid probed across four seasons (2019-20 sids 252463 and 252475, 2020-21 sids 294055, 294075 and 294128, 2024-25 sids 560431 and 564989). Immaculate carries no Nb/Nc variation rows, so that endpoint recovers nothing on this line and the TBD/TBA tokens it was hoped would resolve remain unresolved. [SUPERSEDED IN PART -- see G-014, whose PAGE-SIZE TRUNCATION shortfall is now closed for all three sets.] RECOVERED 76 rows: Jumbo Patches Jersey Number 71 -> 99 of 99 (Gallery pages 8-10 of sid 350113, index 71 = JP-MRB matched disk); Jumbo Patches Team Logo 71 -> 95 of 95 (sid 350115, pages 8-10, index 71 = JP-MRB matched disk); Premium Patch Autographs 65 -> 89 (sid 350142, ALL TEN pages read because that page is in tcdb INSERTION order, not alphabetical, so no tail-only fetch was safe). https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/350142/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection-Premium-Patch-Autographs?PageIndex=1 et seq. The full 96-entry run reconciles exactly: 89 real PPA- codes plus SEVEN bare ordinals -- '5' Julius Randle, '20' PJ Washington Jr., '27' Dejounte Murray, '43' De'Aaron Fox, '49' Isaiah Todd, '73' Kai Jones, '95' Neemias Queta -- which sort BETWEEN coded rows and are therefore placeholders, confirming and slightly extending G-009's count of six. Those seven remain withheld. The 65 rows already on disk were a strict subset of the 89 coded rows, in the identical order, with no code and no (code, player) pair disagreeing -- an independent confirmation of the earlier Prices.cfm capture. DUPLICATE CODE WRITTEN VERBATIM AND FLAGGED, per the spec's collision rule: PPA-JSP appears on TWO cards in this set, Jaden Springer (Gallery page 8) and Jason Preston (page 9). Both expand plausibly (J. SPringer / JaSon Preston), so this is a collision rather than a smear and both rows were written. NOTE that schema.sql declares chase_cards UNIQUE (set_id, card_number) -- see the sweep report; this release already carried the same shape before this pass. NOT TRUNCATION, CONFIRMED: Patch Autographs was re-checked and tcdb's own header reads 'Total Cards: 54' (https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/350134/2021-22-Panini-Immaculate-Collection-Patch-Autographs?PageIndex=6) = the 51 coded rows on disk plus G-010's three 'TBD' rows (De'Aaron Fox, Dejounte Murray, Julius Randle). sets.csv's 56 is two higher than anything tcdb carries; recorded, sets.csv not modified. Every other partial set in G-009 and G-010 reconciles exactly as written + stated omissions = sets.csv card_count, so there is nothing for Gallery.cfm to recover in them.
