• G-001 Release date: 3 sources (cardsmithsbreaks, checklistcenter, waxstat/UPC listing) state October 4, 2024; checklistinsider states October 2, 2024. Used October 4, 2024 (majority).
• G-002 base_set_size and 4-way tier structure (200 total, /99) cross-confirmed by cardsmithsbreaks, checklistcenter, gogts.net, tcdb.com Inserts page (5 parallel sets).
• G-003 Metal Frame family: only City Edition subsets (30+20=50) have confirmed card counts; Motion Picture / Critically Acclaimed / Feature Length / Vintage Art counts not published on any source checked, so the historical ~100-card Metal Frame family total (per prior-year tcdb reconciliation) could not be confirmed to reconcile for this season.
• G-004 Holo Red /25 parallel: cardsmithsbreaks states it applies only to Rookie editions; checklistcenter states it is 'new this year' without restricting scope to rookies; tcdb's parallel-set list (5 total) does not separate veteran vs rookie scope. Recorded once in parallels.csv; scope ambiguity unresolved.
• G-005 No published pull-rate odds sheet found for any set or parallel (consistent with all four prior Noir Basketball seasons); scarcity_sets.csv, scarcity_parallels.csv and ssp_cards.csv are legitimately empty. Box averages ('4 autos, 3 memorabilia per box') were found but are not odds and were not tiered.
• G-006 Rookie Autographs (20-card, non-patch) set that appears in prior-year tcdb reconciliation could not be located by name for this season; RPA B&W(40)+Color(40) do not by themselves reconcile against a base(200)+MetalFrame(~100)+RPA+RookieAuto(20) formula without the missing Metal Frame subset counts.
• G-007 Numerous auto/insert set names (Showtime, Reigning Nights, Snapshot, Silver Screen Debut, Night Lights, Emblazoned Ink, Calligraphy, Ceremonial Orange, Spotlight Signatures Vertical/Horizontal) are attested only by tcdb's set-index page, with no card-count source found; recorded with UNKNOWN counts rather than guessed.
• G-008 Capstones: 0 of 10 rows written. tcdb sid 464367 (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/464367/2023-24-Panini-Noir---Capstones) renders "The checklist for this set is not yet available" - no card numbers exist there. cardsmithsbreaks (https://cardsmithsbreaks.com/full-checklist/2023-24-panini-noir-basketball/) supplies the 10-player roster - Tim Duncan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Steve Nash, Charles Barkley, Isiah Thomas, Julius Erving, Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Stephen Curry, Anthony Edwards - but renders the numbering as "Base - #/10", i.e. a print run, and is a roster-only source per spec. No marketplace listing title carrying a Capstones card code was found. Roster preserved here; numbers withheld. SEPARATELY: gogts.net (https://gogts.net/2023-24-panini-noir-nba-basketball-cards-checklist/) describes Capstones as "an ALL-NEW autograph set this year" while sets.csv records set_type=insert; sets.csv not modified.
• G-009 17 rows withheld across 8 sets because tcdb stores the literal string "TBD" in the card-number column (unwritable per spec). Rosters preserved here: Shadow Signatures - Russell Westbrook. Freeze Frame Signatures - Dejounte Murray. Sneaker Spotlight Signatures - Tim Duncan, Dejounte Murray, Cade Cunningham, Keldon Johnson, Yao Ming, Russell Westbrook. Reigning Nights Signatures - Michael Porter Jr., Donte DiVincenzo. Snapshot Signatures - Brook Lopez. Silver Screen Debut Signatures - Jalen Pickett, Sasha Vezenkov. Spotlight Signatures Vertical - Yao Ming, Russell Westbrook. Spotlight Signatures Horizontal - Desmond Bane.
• G-010 Freeze Frame Signatures count contradiction: sets.csv records card_count 38 (single-source cardsmithsbreaks); tcdb sid 464383 states "Total Cards: 37" and renders 36 coded FFS- rows plus one TBD. 36 rows written. sets.csv not modified.
• G-011 CONFIRMS AND LOCALIZES G-006. The 20-card non-patch rookie autograph set exists and occupies #381-400 of the release's single 400-card checklist (tcdb sid 421835, gallery pages 39-40, attribute label "AU, RC, SN99"): 381 Amen Thompson, 382 Ausar Thompson, 383 Bilal Coulibaly, 384 Cason Wallace, 385 Dereck Lively II, 386 Kobe Bufkin, 387 Keyonte George, 388 Brandin Podziemski, 389 Dariq Whitehead, 390 Kris Murray, 391 Olivier-Maxence Prosper, 392 Marcus Sasser, 393 Ben Sheppard, 394 Brice Sensabaugh, 395 Julian Strawther, 396 Kobe Brown, 397 Noah Clowney, 398 Jalen Pickett, 399 Leonard Miller, 400 Jordan Walsh. NO sets.csv row exists for this set, so NO rows were written - a subset with no sets.csv row is a gap, never a new set.
• G-012 Metal Frame family boundaries and counts DERIVED this season, resolving the UNKNOWN counts in G-003 (sets.csv NOT modified). From tcdb Gallery.cfm attribute labels on sid 421835: #201-230 "MF, SN25" = Metal Frame City Edition (Association/Icon), 30 cards; #231-250 "MF, RC, SN25" = Metal Frame City Edition (Rookies), 20; #251-270 "FL, SN25" = Metal Frame - Feature Length, 20; #271-275 "MP, SN25" = Metal Frame - Motion Picture, 5; #276-290 "VA, SN25" = Metal Frame - Vintage Art, 15; #291-300 "CA, SN25" = Metal Frame - Critically Acclaimed, 10. Sums to exactly 100 (#201-300). The MP/VA boundary at 275/276 falls mid-page on gallery page 28 and was confirmed by a verbatim re-fetch. Motion Picture at only 5 cards is unusually small but is what the page renders.
• G-013 PREFIX COLLISION INSIDE ONE RELEASE: Shadow Signatures (sid 464424) and Showtime Signatures (sid 464428) BOTH print the prefix STS-. They share nine identical codes on different-but-same players and one genuinely conflicting code: STS-JWL is Jason Williams in Shadow Signatures and Jalen Wilson in Showtime Signatures. Both written verbatim; (set_name, card_number) is the only safe key. Shadow's STS- prefix (changed from 2022-23's SHS-) is corroborated by two eBay seller listing titles: https://www.ebay.com/itm/205066993815 ("...Shadow Signatures Shawn Kemp #STS-SWK Gold /25 (AU)") and https://www.ebay.com/itm/377112499742 ("...Shadow Signatures Keyonte George #STS-KYG /75 (AU, RC)"). Showtime's STS- is single-source on tcdb; sportscardspro renders the same code (STS-KBW, Kobe Brown) but is not a permitted card_number source.
• G-014 DUPLICATE CODE, written verbatim and flagged: Sneaker Spotlight Signatures prints SSS-BEN for BOTH Ben Simmons and Ben Wallace. Confirmed by a narrow verbatim re-fetch of https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/464443/2023-24-Panini-Noir---Sneaker-Spotlight-Signatures?PageIndex=1 which quotes "SSS-BEN - Ben Simmons" and "SSS-BEN - Ben Wallace" as adjacent rows. Both rows kept; the DB is unique on (set, number, player).
• G-015 CROSS-SEASON UPDATE SUBSETS EXCLUDED. tcdb files 29 prior-season subsets under this release's own parent (sid 421835): sids 464316-464330 titled "2020-21 Panini Noir Update III: ..." (Auto Noir B&W/Color and their Platinums, Autographed Prime B&W/Color and their Tags, Reigning Nights Signatures + Holo Gold + Platinum, Snapshot Signatures + Holo Gold + Platinum, Sneaker Spotlight Signatures) and sids 464331-464354 titled "2022-23 Panini Noir Update I: ..." (Auto Noir B&W/Color + Platinums, Autographed Prime B&W/Color, Freeze Frame Signatures + Gold/Holo Gold/Platinum, base + Gold + Tags, Shadow Signatures + Gold/Holo Gold/Platinum, Snapshot Signatures + Gold/Holo Gold/Platinum). These ship in 2023-24 Noir packs but are a different product on a different numbering scheme (e.g. 2022-23 Shadow is SHS-, this release is STS-). NONE of their cards were written into this release.
• G-016 UNCATALOGUED tcdb SUBSETS - real 2023-24 Noir sets that tcdb lists under sid 421835 but which have NO row in sets.csv, so no cards were written for any of them: Auto Noir Black and White (464356), Auto Noir Color (464358), Autographed Prime Black and White (464360), Autographed Prime Color (464362), Box Office Memorabilia (464364), Casting Call Memorabilia (464368), Ceremonial Orange is catalogued but Elegant Decor Rookie Jerseys (464376) is not, Game Night Jerseys (464387), Jumbo Material (464390), Logoman (464393), Midnight Signatures (464394), NBA Finals Championship Tags (464397), NBA Finals Laundry Tag NBA Logos (464398), NBA Finals Memorabilia (464399), New Wave Jerseys (464402), Prequel Memorabilia (464406), Rookie Jumbo Material (464413), Screenplay Jerseys (464420), Sneaker Spotlight non-signature (464440), Spotlight non-signature (464444), Stars and Stripes Gear (464452), plus their Prime / Super Prime / Holo / Platinum parallel sids. sets.csv is materially incomplete for this release.
• G-017 Calligraphy Signatures: 1 row written (CAL-PGE, Paul George). tcdb files this under the Noir parent but titles the page "2023-24 Panini Noir - 2023-24 Panini - Calligraphy Signatures" (sid 464355) - a cross-brand Panini signing program rather than a Noir-branded subset - and states Total Cards: 1. sets.csv carries card_count UNKNOWN. Whether the true set is larger and split across the products the cards were pulled from is unresolved; per spec, cross-brand signing-program rows are not cross-written from other products' parents.
• G-018 Single-source card numbers (tcdb only; no marketplace seller title found carrying the code) for: Ceremonial Orange (prefix NSO-, which is not derivable from the set name), Night Lights Autographs (NLA-), Emblazoned Ink (EI-), Stars and Stripes Autograph Gear (SSA-), Snapshot Signatures (SS-), Reigning Nights Signatures (RNS-), Silver Screen Debut Signatures (SSD-), Spotlight Signatures Vertical (SSV-) and Horizontal (SSH-), Freeze Frame Signatures (FFS-), Sneaker Spotlight Signatures (SSS-). tcdb passed calibration on THIS release three times against live eBay /itm/ seller titles (STS-SWK, STS-KYG, and ordinal #379 Adama Sanogo), so these are recorded, but they rest on one source.
• G-019 Rookie Patch Autographs Black and White (#301-340) and Color (#341-380) have NO base page on tcdb - Inserts.cfm lists only their Prime and Tags parallels (sids 464416-464419). Numbers were sourced from the Tags parallel pages (a parallel prints its base card's number) and independently corroborated by the parent 400-card checklist. The numeric scheme was verified against a live marketplace seller title before writing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/116832114072 reads "ADAMA SANOGO 2023-24 PANINI NOIR #379 ROOKIE JERSEY PATCH AUTO 60/99 BULLS RC", matching #379 = Adama Sanogo in RPA Color. A second candidate listing found via search (ebay itm 236042722605, advertised as "#377 Chris Livingston") 404s and was NOT used.
