- G-001 tcdb.com's ViewSet page for "2022-23 Panini Obsidian" (basketball, sid 363268) states "Total Cards: 240" and its paginated checklist continues numbering beyond the corroborated 200-card base into cards 201-240. UNLIKE the 2019-20/2020-21/2021-22 sibling extractions of this product (which could not corroborate an equivalent 201-240 tier and excluded it as an unnamed rookie SP/variation tier), this season the tier IS corroborable: every one of the 40 rows (201-240) is explicitly tagged "RC, AU, MEM, SN99" in tcdb's own checklist table; the player list (Bennedict Mathurin, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Paolo Banchero, etc.) is the 2022 NBA draft rookie class; and card numbers/players match the independently-sourced "Rookie Jersey Autographs" 40-card /99 autograph set (cardsmithsbreaks.com, checklistcenter.com, gogts.net) exactly -- e.g. tcdb #226 Paolo Banchero corresponds to an eBay listing titled "Paolo Banchero 2022-23 Panini Obsidian Autograph Auto Jersey RPA #226 Magic /99". Conclusion: tcdb is simply continuing its internal set numbering through the Rookie Jersey Autographs set rather than describing an undocumented base-set tier. base_set_size remains 200 and the 201-240 range is represented in sets.csv as "Rookie Jersey Autographs" (auto, 40 cards), NOT as an additional base-set entry -- this is a genuine season-to-season difference worth flagging, not a restatement of the prior seasons' unresolved gap.
- G-002 Electric Etch Purple Flood: exists as a documented Electric Etch parallel name for 2022-23 Panini Obsidian Basketball, but per comc.com breadcrumb data it belongs to the Orbital insert set (and separately to Magmatic Signatures for the 2023-24 product) -- e.g. "2022-23 Panini Obsidian - Orbital - Electric Etch Purple Flood Rookie Related Basketball Cards" -- not to the base set. No source was found tagging "Electric Etch Purple Flood" as "[Base]" the way Green Flood, Yellow Flood, White Pulsar, Asia, and Lucky Envelopes were confirmed (see parallels.csv). An earlier AI-summarized fetch of checklistcenter.com had listed "Purple Flood #/49" alongside genuine base parallels without distinguishing which set it belonged to; on closer verification this appears to be the Orbital insert-set parallel, not a base parallel, so it was correctly excluded from parallels.csv per the spec's rule that insert-set Electric Etch trees are out of scope for that file.
- G-003 Electric Etch Blue FOTL (without "Flood" in the name): tcdb.com's ViewSet page lists this as a separate subset link from "Electric Etch Blue Flood FOTL", but no independent source (comc.com, eBay, dacardworld.com, steelcitycollectibles.com, checklistcenter.com) was found describing a distinct "Electric Etch Blue FOTL" parallel with its own print run, separate from the confirmed "Electric Etch Blue Flood FOTL /16". steelcitycollectibles.com's explicit FOTL-box quote names only two FOTL exclusives: "Electric Etch Blue Flood FOTL (#'d/16) and Electric Etch Contra FOTL (#'d/3)". Given this project's history of fabricated single-source checklists, "Electric Etch Blue FOTL" was NOT added as its own parallels.csv row (to avoid either fabricating a second print run or double-counting the same parallel under two names).
- G-004 gogts.net names this product's star-autograph sets "Aurora Autographs" and "Galaxy Autographs" (matching 2021-22's basketball set names, or 2022-23's SOCCER product's set names -- tcdb.com confirms "2022-23 Panini Obsidian - Aurora Autographs SOCCER Checklist" exists, but no basketball-specific "Aurora Autographs" or "Galaxy Autographs" set page was found). cardsmithsbreaks.com and checklistcenter.com both instead show "Galaxy Ink" (47 cards) for 2022-23 BASKETBALL, and tcdb.com carries a dedicated "2022-23 Panini Obsidian - Galaxy Ink" basketball set page corroborating that name. No basketball equivalent of "Aurora Autographs" was found for 2022-23 at all. Treated gogts.net's naming as stale/incorrect (likely carried over from a prior season's or another sport's page) and did not include "Aurora Autographs" as a 2022-23 basketball set.
- G-005 Channel classification for the "Flood"-family base parallels (Green Flood, Yellow Flood, Red Yellow Green Flood) and for Electric Etch White Pulsar and Electric Etch Asia: in 2021-22, the equivalent Flood/Asia tier was explicitly documented by dacardworld.com as exclusive to a "2021-22 Panini Obsidian Basketball Asia Tmall Box". For 2022-23, no equivalent basketball-specific Asia Tmall box product listing could be found anywhere (only a "2022-23 Panini Obsidian SOCCER Asia Tmall Box" exists) despite the "Electric Etch Asia" parallel name itself being confirmed to exist on actual 2022-23 BASKETBALL cards via comc.com. It is possible this season's Asia/Flood/Pulsar tier parallels are distributed some other way (a different regional SKU, a general-release SSP, etc.) that was not identified in this pass. Channel recorded as UNKNOWN for Green Flood, Yellow Flood, Red Yellow Green Flood, and White Pulsar rather than assuming the 2021-22 "asia"/Tmall pattern still applies; "asia" was used for the Electric Etch Asia parallel itself based on its name, but the box/SKU tying it to basketball specifically remains unconfirmed. - G-006 beckett.com/news returned inaccessible/403-equivalent results and cardboardconnection.com's 2022-23 Obsidian basketball page (both canonical and /amp URLs) was blocked by robots.txt for automated fetching -- both are normally-primary sources per the extraction spec and could not be used directly, consistent with what all three sibling seasons reported. The official paniniamerica.net product page (paniniamerica.net/2022-23-panini-obsidian-nba-trading-card-box-hobby.html) timed out on three separate fetch attempts and could not be used; no blog.paniniamerica.net "Available Wednesday" preview post specific to 2022-23 Obsidian Basketball could be located via search (unlike 2021-22, which had a dedicated post) -- it is possible one exists but was not indexed/found, or Panini did not publish a dedicated preview post for this release. Relied instead on cardsmithsbreaks.com, checklistcenter.com, tcdb.com, gogts.net (partially -- see G-004), comc.com (individual card listings, useful for confirming actual print runs and [Base] vs. insert-set ownership), dacardworld.com and steelcitycollectibles.com hobby-box product pages (which carry what reads as manufacturer sell-sheet copy), and targeted eBay searches for individually-verifiable actual card listings (never used as the sole basis for a scarcity-tier claim).
- G-007 No source consulted (cardsmithsbreaks.com, tcdb.com, checklistcenter.com) marks any base card #1-200 with an explicit "RC" tag in the checklist table itself, even though checklistcenter.com editorially describes cards 151-200 as "2022 draft class members" in a section header. Per the extraction spec ("only mark yes/no if the source explicitly shows RC designations; otherwise UNKNOWN"), rookie_flag is recorded as UNKNOWN for all 200 base cards. This differs from the 2021-22 sibling extraction, which marked cards 151-200 (rookies) as "yes" -- that determination is not independently re-verified here and, absent an explicit RC tag on any 2022-23-specific source checked, UNKNOWN is used instead per a strict reading of the spec.

- G-022 Per-set parallel-tier repair pass (2026-08-27, targeted): looked for insert/autograph colour parallel tiers for these non-base sets and found none to source -- Mist, Vitreous, Volcanix. checklistcenter.com listed no Parallels line for these three inserts during the 2026-08-27 targeted parallel-tier repair pass. Left unannotated.
- G-023 4 insert/auto set(s) in this release are documented as carrying their own parallel tier, but no source enumerated the colours, so no scoped parallel rows could be created. The tier exists; its members are unknown.
- G-024 Matrix Material Autos is 20 cards per sets.csv; 19 card_numbers were written. tcdb.com renders only 19: Gallery.cfm/sid/378386 states 'Total Cards: 19' and its two pages render 10 + 9 rows. The scarcest parallel tier, Electric Etch White Mojo (ViewSet.cfm/sid/378393), also states 'Total Cards: 19'; Electric Etch Green (sid 378387) states 11 and Electric Etch Purple (sid 378390) states 14, so no tcdb page for this set exceeds 19. The missing 20th card is TIM HARDAWAY JR. (Dallas Mavericks, #/35), named by cardboardconnection.com's 20-entry Matrix Material Autos roster (https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2022-23-panini-obsidian-basketball-nba-cards); the other 19 names on that roster match tcdb's 19 exactly. His printed MM- code is not carried by any source reached in this pass. Reconstructing it from the set's observed first-initial+last-initial+team-initial pattern would be derivation, so the row is withheld. Roster is therefore complete at 20; card_numbers are 19/20.
- G-025 AMBIGUOUS DUPLICATE CODE, written and flagged rather than resolved. tcdb renders the token 'GI-ZMG' on TWO different players in Galaxy Ink -- Zach Randolph and Ziaire Williams -- on both the base page (Gallery.cfm/sid/378365 PageIndex=5) and the independent parallel page (Gallery.cfm/sid/378366, Galaxy Ink Electric Etch Green, PageIndex=5). The spec's cid-adjacency smear test is DISARMED here because the page's ViewCard cids run strictly sequential in display order (22142886, 22142887, 22142888, 22142889, 22142890, 22142891, 22142892), so the adjacency of the two ZMG rows carries no information. The collision reading is supported: this set's codes are first-name initial + team token, and both players are Memphis Grizzlies with first initial Z. Ziaire Williams' GI-ZMG is independently confirmed by a free-text eBay seller title (https://www.ebay.com/itm/296420652766, '2022-23 Panini Ziaire Williams Obsidian Galaxy Auto no.GI-ZMG Grizzlies', with no tcdb flag string anywhere on the page). Zach Randolph's GI-ZMG is NOT separately corroborated -- no marketplace listing for it was found. Both rows are written per the (set_id, card_number, player_name) uniqueness rule; if the Randolph row later proves to be a copy-down error, only that row need be retired.
- G-026 SOURCING CAVEAT on the 201-240 numbering, recorded because the corroboration is imperfect rather than because the conclusion is doubted. Rookie Jersey Autographs has NO sid of its own on tcdb -- Inserts.cfm/sid/363268 lists 105 insert sids and 19 parallel sids for this release and none of them is Rookie Jersey Autographs. Its cards are filed inside the parent checklist (sid 363268, 'Total Cards: 240') at 201-240, exactly as release.csv's G-001 note describes. The numbering scheme is therefore a base-run continuation block, not a letter code; searches for an 'RJA-' prefixed 2022-23 Obsidian card returned only OTHER products (Panini Origins, Panini Select), which do use RJA- codes for their own same-named sets. Four independent free-text marketplace seller titles agree with tcdb's player-to-number mapping (#213 AJ Griffin, #226 Paolo Banchero x2, #232 Dalen Terry), and two further search snippets do too (#219 Isaiah Mobley, #215 Kennedy Chandler, both on /itm/ URLs that 404'd on direct fetch). CAVEAT: the two ebay.com /itm/ pages that were fetched successfully each carry the tcdb flag string '(AU, MEM, RC)' in an eBay catalogue breadcrumb module -- outside the seller title, which matched its search snippet verbatim in both cases. Per spec that fingerprint makes a single such page circular evidence; the finding rests on the agreement of four differently-worded titles from four sellers, not on any one page.
- G-027 RUN SUMMARY, chase-checklist pass 2026-09-11. 13 previously-unstarted sets were worked; 413 of 414 outstanding cards were written with sourced card_numbers (99.76%). Twelve of thirteen sets reconcile exactly against sets.csv card_count: Rookie Jersey Autographs 40/40, Rookie Jersey Ink 40/40, Rookie Eruption Autographs 29/29, Galaxy Ink 47/47, Lightning Strike Signatures 29/29, Magmatic Signatures 45/45, Volcanic Signatures 39/39, Equinox 40/40, Mist 25/25, Orbital 30/30, Supernova 10/10, Tunnel Vision 20/20. One set is short: Matrix Material Autos 19/20 (see G-024). PRIMARY SOURCE: tcdb.com Gallery.cfm, paginated at 10/page, rows counted against the page's own 'Total Cards:' field on every page. CORROBORATION: cardboardconnection.com for rosters and team_or_school only (it renumbers coded sets 1..N or to its own internal sequence and was never used for a card_number); free-text marketplace seller titles for prefix confirmation. NUMBERING SCHEMES ESTABLISHED FOR THIS SEASON, each from this season's own rendered pages: letter-coded RJI- (Rookie Jersey Ink), RE- (Rookie Eruption Autographs), GI- (Galaxy Ink), LS- (Lightning Strike Signatures), MS- (Magmatic Signatures), MM- (Matrix Material Autos), VS- (Volcanic Signatures); base-run continuation block 201-240 (Rookie Jersey Autographs, see G-026); plain 1..N (Equinox, Mist, Orbital, Supernova, Tunnel Vision -- all five plain inserts, matching the already-complete Vitreous and Volcanix). RENAMED SETS: 'Galaxy Autographs' (2021-22) -> 'Galaxy Ink' (2022-23) carries prefix GI-, and 'Rookie Eruption Signatures' (2021-22) -> 'Rookie Eruption Autographs' (2022-23) carries prefix RE-; both were derived from this season's rendered pages only, with no prefix inherited from or assumed about any sibling season. FABRICATION CHECKS RUN: copy check against base_cards.csv (no set mirrors the base run); temporal check (no post-2022 draftee appears); uniformity check (the thirteen sets use three different schemes and seven different prefixes); narrow verbatim re-fetch with ViewCard cids on Galaxy Ink page 5, and independent parallel-sid re-fetches on Galaxy Ink and Rookie Eruption Autographs. NOT WRITTEN: Tim Hardaway Jr.'s Matrix Material Autos code (G-024). OBSERVED DUPLICATE CODES, both written per the (set_id, card_number, player_name) key: GI-ZMG on two players (G-025) and RJI-OCH on two players (genuine team-letter collision, corroborated by comc.com's '#RJI-OCH.1' disambiguation).
