• G-001 TCDB's set page (tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/550306) states the set contains 237 total cards, while checklistinsider.com, checklistcenter.com, cardsmithsbreaks.com and sportscardchecklist.com all independently give a 200-card base set with a separate 201-240 'Rookie Jersey Auto Set' checklist. 237 does not cleanly equal 200 + 39 (=239) or any other observed count; the discrepancy is unresolved. base_set_size of 200 was used based on the majority of independent sources.
• G-002 sportscardchecklist.com shows the Rookie Jersey Autographs checklist continuing base numbering as cards 201-240, with card #207 missing from the list it published (only 39 of 40 slots shown). This corroborates the pattern flagged by sibling 2019-20/2020-21/2021-22 extractions of an unnamed 201-240 tier, but this season the tier IS explicitly named as an autograph set rather than an unverified base variation. The missing #207 is unexplained (typo, condition-short-print, or genuine gap in the source's listing) and unverified elsewhere.
• G-003 No working source publishes card counts for these base-level insert sets; all listed as UNKNOWN card_count.
• G-004 No working source publishes card counts or a card-level checklist for the three named SSP inserts (Vitreous, Volcanix, Black Color Blast), despite multiple sources (checklistinsider.com, gogts.net, blog.paniniamerica.net, breakninja.com, cardsmithsbreaks.com) confirming their existence and 'rare SSP' status. ssp_cards.csv is empty for these sets as a result.
• G-005 cardboardconnection.com returned a suspiciously generic, unbylined, undated 'article' via the fetch tool containing marketing boilerplate language, despite being reported robots-blocked by all three sibling season extractions on this project. Its content (including base_set_size='240' and an Electric Etch table matching checklistinsider.com/cardsmithsbreaks.com almost verbatim) was NOT used as corroboration anywhere in this extraction due to fabrication risk; all parallel figures instead rely on the independent agreement of checklistinsider.com and cardsmithsbreaks.com, both of which show recognizably distinct page structure/content from each other.
• G-006 One fetch of checklistinsider.com produced a trailing summarizer sentence mentioning an 'Electric Etch Snowcapped /27' FOTL parallel that did NOT appear in the verbatim table quoted directly from the same page across two separate fetches. Treated as unconfirmed/likely fetch-summarizer artifact and excluded from parallels.csv rather than risk fabricating a row.
• G-007 Unlike the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons (which had an Asia/Tmall-exclusive Electric Etch box/tier per sibling extractions), no 2024-25 Asia- or Tmall-exclusive Obsidian Basketball box or parallel was found in any search; only an 'International' hobby box SKU (tied to the Electric Etch International parallel) was found for this season. This looks like a genuine product change, not an omission, but is flagged since it was not exhaustively confirmed absent.
• G-008 No working source marks individual base cards with an explicit 'RC' designation (checklistcenter.com was asked directly and confirmed no RC labels appear on the checklist). rookie_flag is UNKNOWN for all 200 base cards per spec, even though cards 141-200 are visibly the 2024 NBA Draft rookie class by roster inspection.
• G-009 beckett.com returned no usable content when fetched (consistent with the 403 behavior reported by all three sibling season extractions); cardboardconnection.com's robots-block behavior reported by siblings could not be independently reproduced by the fetch tool used here, and its content was excluded per G-005 above rather than trusted.
• G-010 Per-set parallel-tier repair pass (2026-08-27, targeted): looked for insert/autograph colour parallel tiers for these non-base sets and found none to source -- Tunnel Vision, Eclipse, Pitch Black, Magnitude, Vitreous, Volcanix, Black Color Blast, Calligraphy Signatures, Private Signings. Tunnel Vision/Eclipse/Pitch Black/Magnitude do not appear at all on checklistcenter.com's 2024-25 Obsidian page (retired-for-this-year inserts, confirmed by narrow re-query); Vitreous/Volcanix/Black Color Blast/Calligraphy Signatures/Private Signings appear with no Parallels line. Left unannotated during the 2026-08-27 targeted parallel-tier repair pass.
• G-011 Per-set parallel-tier repair pass (2026-08-27, targeted): rejected the parallel-tier text returned for set 'Rookie Jersey Autographs'. Its Parallels text was byte-identical or near-identical to a different set's full ladder (either the Base Variation/base-set ladder, or -- for the 2024-25 Obsidian Rookie Jersey Autographs row -- text matching the neighbouring Rookie Jersey Ink row, with a self-contradictory fetch first claiming it equalled the base ladder and then returning different text), consistent with the project's known 'template-fill / base-ladder bleed' fabrication mode. No note was written for 'Rookie Jersey Autographs'; its own genuine parallel tier (if any) remains unsourced.
• G-012 CARD COUNT RESOLVED (sets.csv still says UNKNOWN -- not changed by this pass, which is additive only). Established count: 30. A human should set card_count=10.
• G-016 CARD COUNT RESOLVED (sets.csv still says UNKNOWN; row is tagged scarcity_tier=SSP and gaps.csv G-004 previously recorded that no source published a checklist or count). Established count: 25. Evidence: https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/558939/2024-25-Panini-Obsidian-Black-Color-Blast renders "Total Cards:" "25" with exactly 25 rows numbered 1..25. 25 rows written to insert_cards.csv, which also supersedes the ssp_cards.csv emptiness noted in G-004 for this one set. A human should set card_count=25.
• G-017 CARD COUNT NOT RESOLVED. sets.csv carries UNKNOWN for both (SSP die-cut inserts). Neither set could be located on tcdb for the 2024-25 basketball release: they are not in the A-O portion of https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/550306/2024-25-Panini-Obsidian that renders before the fetch tool's input truncation, and five separate scoped web searches for "2024-25 Panini Obsidian - Vitreous" / "- Volcanix" returned only the 2019-20 through 2023-24 basketball sids (e.g. Vitreous 2022-23 sid 378449, 2021-22 sid 323916; Volcanix 2023-24 sid 439569) and never a 2024-25 one. No count established; do NOT carry the 2021-22/2022-23 counts (Vitreous 10/15, Volcanix 40/35 in this repo's own sibling insert_cards.csv) forward -- they are a different season's evidence.
• G-018 CARD COUNT NOT RESOLVED, AND EXISTENCE IN THIS SEASON IS NOW DOUBTFUL. sets.csv carries UNKNOWN for all four. tcdb's Inserts.cfm listing for this release is alphabetical, and the portion that renders (through "Orbital Electric Etch Jade") contains "Eclipse Materials" but NO bare "Eclipse", contains "Magmatic Signatures" and "Matrix Material Autos" but NO "Magnitude" -- both of which fall inside the rendered alphabetical range, so their absence there is positive evidence of absence, not truncation. Pitch Black and Tunnel Vision fall past the truncation point and could not be tested this way. This converges with the pre-existing gaps.csv G-010 finding that all four are absent from checklistcenter.com's 2024-25 Obsidian page ('retired-for-this-year inserts'). Recommend a human re-examine whether these four sets belong in this release's sets.csv at all.
• G-019 CONTRADICTS sets.csv. sets.csv states card_count 19 (sourced from checklistinsider.com). tcdb states and renders 15: https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/558837/2024-25-Panini-Obsidian-Matrix-Material-Autos gives "Total Cards:" 15 with exactly 15 rows (MM-ATD..MM-SUG), and a second independent endpoint agrees -- https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/558837/...?PageIndex=99 gives "Total Cards: 15" and ?PageIndex=2 renders the final 5 rows MM-JPT, MM-JSD, MM-JSS, MM-PWD, MM-SUG, matching the ViewSet tail card for card. 15 rows written. Unresolved which figure is right; no rows were manufactured to reach 19.
• G-020 CONTRADICTS sets.csv. sets.csv states card_count 35. tcdb states and renders 31: https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/559550/2024-25-Panini-Obsidian-Magmatic-Signatures gives "Total Cards:" "31" with exactly 31 rows, and https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/559550/...?PageIndex=99 independently gives "Total Cards: 31" while ?PageIndex=4 renders exactly 1 row (MS-TJM), which is consistent with 31 = 3x10 + 1 and inconsistent with 35. 31 rows written; no rows manufactured to reach 35.
• G-021 PARTIAL: 47 of 49 rows written. tcdb (sid 585854) states "Total Cards:" 49 and renders 49 rows, but two of them carry the literal string TBD in the card-number column instead of a code: Wally Szczerbiak (Minnesota Timberwolves) and Precious Achiuwa (New York Knicks). Confirmed on a second endpoint -- https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/585854/2024-25-Panini-Obsidian-Ignited-Signatures?PageIndex=5 renders the final 9 rows ending with those same two TBD rows. TBD is unwritable per spec; both players are named here so the roster survives. The set's scheme is the IS- prefix. [UPDATED 2026-09-11: Errors.cfm exposes the per-row flag column and partly CLOSES this gap. https://www.tcdb.com/Errors.cfm/sid/585854/2024-25-Panini-Obsidian-Ignited-Signatures renders Wally Szczerbiak as "TBD ... Note the page does NOT state it is an errata list -- it renders checklist-shaped, exactly the failure mode the spec warns about -- so it was read only for the flag column, never as an errata source.]
• G-022 PARTIAL: 42 of 45 rows written. tcdb (sid 602638) states "Total Cards:" 45 and renders 45 rows, three of which carry the literal string TBD: Dalton Knecht (Los Angeles Lakers), Yuta Tabuse (Phoenix Suns) and Zach Edey (Memphis Grizzlies). Confirmed on a second endpoint -- https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/602638/...?PageIndex=5 renders the final 5 rows as TA-WST, TA-ZWN and those same three TBD rows. Players named so the roster survives. The set's scheme is the TA- prefix. • G-023 PARTIAL: 38 of 39 rows written, and G-001/G-002 are now largely EXPLAINED. This set has no subset page of its own on tcdb; its cards are filed INSIDE the parent checklist (sid 550306) as a 201-240 block, which is exactly why the parent's "Total Cards: 237" overshoots the 200-card base set: 237 = 200 + 37 rendered rows in the 201-240 range (https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/550306/2024-25-Panini-Obsidian?PageIndex=21 through PageIndex=24; page 24 renders 7 rows ending at 240). Absent from tcdb's rendering: 207, 211 and 219. Card 219 (Jaylon Tyson) was recovered from a tcdb-seeded eBay catalogue page (https://www.ebay.com/p/28086336290) and IS written, with that weaker provenance disclosed in its notes. 207 and 211 remain unresolved -- sportscardchecklist.com independently also lacks 207 per G-002. The printed 201-240 numbering (not a placeholder run) is corroborated by two eBay seller free-text titles carrying no tcdb flag string: https://www.ebay.com/itm/306557824917 ("2024-25 Obsidian OSO IGHODARO #233 Rookie Jersey Autograph /125 SSP SUNS RC") and https://www.ebay.com/itm/157679959497 ("2024-25 Panini Obsidian Jaylen Wells #229 Rc Patch Autograph /125 Sh"). team_or_school is empty for the whole set because Gallery.cfm renders no team.
• G-024 NO ROWS WRITTEN for seven sets that DO have a card_count in sets.csv: Rookie Jersey Ink (39), Rookie Eruption Autographs (28), Twilight Signatures (23), Volcanic Signatures (34), Scorched Signatures (9), Solar Swatches (47), Unbreakable Memorabilia (29). Cause is an ENUMERATION failure, not a sourcing judgement: tcdb's Inserts.cfm for this release (sid 550306) is alphabetical and the fetch tool truncates its INPUT partway through the letter O (last entry rendered: "Orbital Electric Etch Jade", sid 560710), hiding every P-Z set. The truncation is deterministic -- identical under four different valid slugs -- and Inserts.cfm honours neither ?PageIndex nor ?Records nor ?SORT=DESC (all three return byte-identical page 1). CollectionSummary.cfm and SetStats.cfm are robots-blocked; AdvancedSearch.cfm and Search.cfm return an empty form for every GET parameter shape tried; Person.cfm's sSetName filter returns 'No matches found'; direct HTTPS to tcdb via curl is refused by the egress proxy (CONNECT 403). Sid-range probing is not viable on this release: 2024-25 Obsidian's sids are scattered islands interleaved with foreign products at single-sid granularity (sid 584214 is Dusk Memorabilia while 584215 is '2025 Metroboard The Great American Subway Collection' and 584216 is International Black Color Blast), and 18 blind ViewSet.cfm probes across 558850-560780 returned Leaf, Upper Deck, Topps, Bowman and Panini Noir sets and not one Obsidian set. Nine scoped web searches also failed to surface a 2024-25 sid for any of the seven. Evidence they DO exist on tcdb: https://www.ebay.com/p/24086320734 is a tcdb-seeded catalogue page reading "2024-25 Panini Obsidian - Unbreakable Memorabilia Yuki Kawamura, Yuki Kawamura #UM-YKM /249 (MEM, RC)", which also establishes that set's prefix as UM-. That single code was NOT written: it is a catalogue page rather than a seller free-text title, and one orphan row in a 29-card set would falsely signal coverage. A future pass with an untruncated fetch surface (a real browser, or raw HTML) should recover all seven cheaply.
• G-025 NAMING/SCOPE NOTE, no action taken. tcdb files these two under this release's own Inserts.cfm listing but names them "2024-25 Panini Basketball - Calligraphy Signatures" (sid 559917) and "2024-25 Panini Basketball - Private Signings" (sid 559916), and their page headings read "2024-25 Panini Obsidian - 2024-25 Panini Basketball - Calligraphy Signatures". These are Panini's cross-brand signing programs, which the chase spec warns are filed by tcdb under whichever product the card was pulled from. Here tcdb and our sets.csv agree that they belong to this release, so their rows were written under the sets.csv names; flagged because the same two set names exist in other 2024-25 Panini products and a name-keyed resolver could cross-contaminate. Both reconcile exactly (4 and 6 rows against card_count 4 and 6).
• G-026 SET MISSING FROM sets.csv. tcdb's Inserts.cfm for this release lists "Mist" at sid 560718, inside the same 5607xx island as Orbital and the Matrix Material Autos parallels. https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/560718/2024-25-Panini-Obsidian-Mist renders heading "2024-25 Panini Obsidian - Mist", "Total Cards:" "20", and exactly 20 rows numbered 1..20 (1 Zach Edey ... 20 Stephen Curry) -- a genuine, season-accurate 2024-25 roster, not a base-set copy. No row exists for it in sets.csv, so per the additive-only rule NO cards were written for it (set_name must match sets.csv byte for byte). A human should decide whether to add the set; the 20-card checklist is reproducible from that one URL.
• G-027 FLAGGED, ROWS WRITTEN. On sid 559550 the rows are rendered in card-number order except for exactly two: MS-NOA (Noah Clowney) sorts between MS-CJS and MS-CWL, and MS-CLX (Nicolas Claxton) sorts between MS-NBL and MS-NVE -- i.e. each sorts where the OTHER player's name would put it, as though tcdb's sort key disagrees with the displayed token. Both tokens are full letter codes, not bare prefixes and not placeholder ordinals, so per spec 1e/1e-bis they were written verbatim rather than withheld or 'repaired'. A targeted marketplace search for "MS-NOA" / "MS-CLX" returned no seller listing, so the anomaly is unadjudicated. If either code is later shown wrong, these are the two rows to revisit.
• G-028 SCOPE QUESTION, no action taken. tcdb lists "International Black Color Blast" at sid 584216 under this release, alongside the plain "Black Color Blast" (sid 558939). sets.csv has no row for it and parallels.csv was not examined for it (out of scope for this additive chase-checklist pass). A human should decide whether it is a distinct set, a channel variant of Black Color Blast tied to the International hobby box, or already covered as a parallel.
• G-029 Chase-checklist pass, 2026-09-11. 454 rows written across 18 of the 31 non-base sets. Fully reconciling against sets.csv card_count: Atomic Initials 20/20, Cutting Edge Memorabilia 15/15, Eclipse Materials 27/27, Equinox Gear 17/17, Galaxy Ink 44/44, Dusk Memorabilia 43/43, Calligraphy Signatures 4/4, Private Signings 6/6. Written short of card_count with a reason: Ignited Signatures 47/49 (G-021), Trailblazer Autographs 42/45 (G-022), Rookie Jersey Autographs 38/39 (G-023). Written against a count that CONTRADICTS sets.csv: Matrix Material Autos 15 vs 19 (G-019), Magmatic Signatures 31 vs 35 (G-020). Written with a newly established count where sets.csv says UNKNOWN: Equinox 30 (G-012), Orbital 20 (G-013), Hotspot 20 (G-014), Supernova 10 (G-015), Black Color Blast 25 (G-016). Nothing written: seven sets unreachable on tcdb (G-024), Vitreous and Volcanix unlocated (G-017), Tunnel Vision/Eclipse/Pitch Black/Magnitude doubtful for this season (G-018). Numbering schemes are per-set and were derived from this season's rendered evidence only: plain 1..N on Atomic Initials, Equinox, Orbital, Hotspot, Supernova, Black Color Blast and Mist; a 201-240 own-block on Rookie Jersey Autographs; letter codes elsewhere -- MM-, CE-, EM-, EG-, GI-, MS-, IS-, TA-, DM-, CAL-, PS-, and UM- on the unwritten Unbreakable Memorabilia. Fabrication checks run: copy check against base_cards.csv (no set mirrors the base run), temporal check (rosters carry 2024 draftees and mid-season-2025 team moves -- Luka Doncic on the Lakers, De'Aaron Fox and Jimmy Butler III on their new clubs -- so they cannot be a prior season's list), uniformity check (18 sets, 12 distinct schemes/prefixes, no repeated structure), and narrow verbatim re-fetch on a second endpoint for five sets (Matrix Material Autos, Magmatic Signatures, Ignited Signatures, Trailblazer Autographs, Atomic Initials) -- all five matched card for card.
