2019-20 Opulence

• G-001 Release date disagreement: beckett.com states September 11, 2020; cardboardconnection.com, checklistcenter.com, gogts.net and steelcitycollectibles.com (with UPC 613297952718) all state September 18, 2020. Used the 4-source majority (2020-09-18).
• G-002 Base booklet print run disputed: cardboardconnection.com (via a summarized fetch that also matched the Panini PIS-derived figures for other booklets) reports #/5; checklistcenter.com independently reports #/15. Could not resolve which is correct; card_count of 17 is agreed by both.
• G-003 Insert/autograph set card counts (17+ sets) are corroborated between cardboardconnection.com and checklistcenter.com, but the two sites' figures match digit-for-digit across every set, which could indicate shared/syndicated origin rather than fully independent verification. Panini's own PIS PDF independently matched cardboardconnection.com on the 4 sets it covered (Rookie Patch Autographs Booklet, Gold Medal Jersey Autographs, All-Star Booklet, Rookie Octo Signature Booklet), which supports but does not fully confirm the remaining sets' exact counts.
• G-004 Insert-set parallel PRINT RUNS (not colour names, which are out of scope for this field per spec) vary between cardboardconnection.com and goldcardauctions.com for several sets, e.g. Gilded Signatures (Gold /10 & Holo Gold /5 per cardboardconnection.com vs Gold /25 & Holo Gold /10 per goldcardauctions.com) and 24K Autographs Platinum tier (1/1 per cardboardconnection.com vs /5 per goldcardauctions.com). Colour/tier NAMES agree between the two sources and are what was recorded in sets.csv notes.
• G-005 Set name appears as "Gold Autographed Memorabilia" on goldcardauctions.com (single-source spelling variant) versus "Golden Autographed Memorabilia" on cardboardconnection.com and checklistcenter.com (2-source agreement, used as canonical).
• G-006 "Rookie Patches Booklet" (cardboardconnection.com/checklistcenter.com naming) may be the same set that Panini's PIS PDF and dacardworld.com call "Jumbo Rookie Patch Booklets"; card count and description are consistent with a single set but identity was not confirmed card-by-card.
• G-007 No source fetched (tcdb.com, checklistcenter.com) displayed explicit "RC" rookie-card designations on individual card listings, so rookie_flag is UNKNOWN for all 100 base cards per spec (absence of a flag is not evidence of non-rookie status).
• G-008 WITHHELD PLAYER: Allan Houston. tcdb's BASE pages render one extra row in each of these two sets - GS-AH Allan Houston (29 rows against a header of 28) and GVA-AH Allan Houston (32 rows against a header of 32). All three Gilded Signatures parallel tiers (Gold sid 244573, Holo Gold sid 244574, Platinum sid 244575) render 28 rows without him, and both reachable Golden Vintage tiers (Gold sid 244592, Platinum sid 244594) render 31 without him. An independent roster at https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2019-20-panini-opulence-basketball-cards lists 28 Gilded names and 31 Golden Vintage names, matching the parallel tiers name-for-name and excluding Allan Houston from both. sets.csv (28 and 31, built without fetching tcdb) sides with the parallels. Per CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC section 1c-ter the two Allan Houston rows are treated as tcdb base-page artifacts and were NOT written; if a marketplace listing for a 2019-20 Opulence Allan Houston autograph ever surfaces, these two rows should be added as GS-AH and GVA-AH. No such listing was found (searches on ebay, goldin, fanaticscollect, comc returned only his 2018-19 Spectra/Encased and 2021 Topps autographs).
• G-009 tcdb files 17 subsets titled "2018-19 Panini Opulence Update I: ..." under THIS release's parent sid 233435 (sids 605287-605302 plus 244562). They are listed by https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/233435/2019-20-Panini-Opulence but belong to the 2018-19 product on a different numbering scheme (2018-19 Golden Vintage prints GV- with three-letter suffixes, e.g. GV-CML, versus 2019-20's GVA- with two). None of their cards were written into this release, per CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC. Sets affected: City of Gold Signatures Gold/Holo Gold/Platinum, Golden Vintage Autographs + Gold/Holo Gold/Platinum, Luxurious Autographs, Magnificent Autographs, Opulent Autographs + Gold/Holo Gold/Platinum, Precious Swatch Signatures + Gold/Holo Gold/Platinum.
• G-010 Set-name divergence between sources, recorded rather than acted on. tcdb calls our "Game of Inches Booklet" simply "Game of Inches" (sid 244571, https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/244571/2019-20-Panini-Opulence---Game-of-Inches) with no Booklet qualifier. comc calls our "Rookie Patch Autographs Booklet" "Rookie Patches Autographs Booklet" (https://www.comc.com/Cards/Basketball/2019-20/Panini_Opulence_-_Rookie_Patches_Autographs_Booklet/RPA-NAW/Nickeil_Alexander-Walker/16193730). Card counts and rosters match in both cases (17 and 24), so these are naming variants, not different sets. Our sets.csv names were used byte for byte.
• G-011 OPEN QUESTION on card MA-KB. tcdb renders MA-KB for Giannis Antetokounmpo on both the base page (sid 244599, ViewCard cid 15273777, flags "AU, SN49, EXCH") and the Gold tier (sid 244600). The suffix KB fits no part of his name, and he carries GA elsewhere in this release (GS-GA, CG-GA, PSS-GA, GI-GA). It was written verbatim because card codes are not derivable from initials and two tcdb pages agree, but no marketplace listing was found to adjudicate it and the EXCH flag suggests a redemption card whose code may have been recorded from paperwork rather than from the card. Worth re-checking against a seller title if one ever appears.
• G-012 tcdb has sids for all three base-set parallels - Holo Gold (sid 244204), Emerald (sid 244205) and Platinum (sid 244206), each with a header of 100 cards, matching parallels.csv and base_set_size - but https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/233435/2019-20-Panini-Opulence does NOT list any of them. They were found only by probing the numeric gap below the All-Star Booklet sid. The Inserts.cfm sid arithmetic for this release nonetheless reconciles exactly on the insert side (79 entries = our 21 non-base sets + their 58 set-scoped parallels), i.e. the arithmetic balanced while three real sids were missing from the listing. No content change needed; recorded because it is a completeness caveat on Inserts.cfm, and parallels.csv is NOT short here.
