- G-001 Card counts for Origins Autographs Silver Ink (39), Rookie Autographs (39), Rookie Jersey Autographs (40), Rookie Auto Booklet Patch (37), Six Star Signatures (2), Legendary Autographs (18), Award-Winning Autographs (8), Origins Memorabilia (20), Rookie Jumbo Jerseys (39) agree between cardsmithsbreaks.com and checklistcenter.com, but the detailed print-run figures for each set's own parallel tier come from checklistcenter.com only (spot-checked and confirmed for 2 of the 9 trees via breakninja.com and blog.paniniamerica.net; the remaining 7 trees' exact print runs are single-source).
- G-002 cardsmithsbreaks.com lists a distinct 1-card set 'Rookie Jumbo Jerseys Red', while checklistcenter.com treats 'Red #/49' as a parallel color within the 39-card Rookie Jumbo Jerseys set. Sources disagree on whether this is a separate short-print set or a parallel; recorded both ways, unresolved.
- G-003 Exact print runs for base parallels Orange (#/75), Pink (#/60), Turquoise (#/25), Gold (#/10), and Green (#/5) are documented on checklistcenter.com only; blog.paniniamerica.net confirms the color names exist but does not give run numbers for these five. cardboardconnection.com (normally a strong cross-check source) and beckett.com both returned errors (robots-block / 403) for this product and could not be used.
- G-004 No numeric pull-odds sheet was found for this release; Panini does not publish odds sheets for basketball products, consistent with prior findings on other Panini basketball lines. stated_odds left blank throughout scarcity_parallels.csv/scarcity_sets.csv.
- G-005 rookie_flag left UNKNOWN for all 90 cards: no fetched source explicitly marked cards with an 'RC' designation (dacardworld.com's product page states 20 rookies are in the set generally, but does not tag which specific card numbers).
- G-006 RESOLVES G-002 with rendered evidence, and CONTRADICTS the sets.csv row. 'Rookie Jumbo Jerseys Red' is recorded in sets.csv with card_count 1. It is not a 1-card set. tcdb sid 303303 (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/303303/2021-22-Panini-Origins-Rookie-Jumbo-Jerseys-Red) states 'Total Cards: 40' and renders 40 rows carrying the flag string 'MEM, SN49', all using the SAME JJ- codes as the 39-card Rookie Jumbo Jerseys base set. tcdb's Inserts.cfm for the parent (https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/296050/2021-22-Panini-Origins) files sid 303303 as one of six colour parallels of Rookie Jumbo Jerseys alongside Black 303299, Blue 303300, Gold 303301, Green 303302 and Turquoise 303304. This matches checklistcenter.com's treatment of Red as a #/49 parallel tier and contradicts cardsmithsbreaks.com, the single source behind the sets.csv row, which mis-scoped it as a distinct set. ACTION FOR A HUMAN: this set row is very likely a duplicate of the Rookie Jumbo Jerseys Red parallel already in parallels.csv and should probably be retired from sets.csv, with card_count corrected to 40 if it is kept. sets.csv and parallels.csv were NOT edited by this pass. Per the task instruction to keep the checklist alive, all 40 rendered rows were written to insert_cards.csv under the sets.csv name verbatim; row count therefore intentionally exceeds card_count 1 by 39.
- G-009 Origins Memorabilia: the card number for Zion Williamson is rendered 'OM-JWL', which does not fit his initials and has the shape of a transposed or mis-keyed code (a ZWL-style suffix would be expected; note LA-JWL in this same release is Jason Williams). It was written VERBATIM and NOT repaired. Two independent tcdb pages render it identically - the base set (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/303273/2021-22-Panini-Origins-Origins-Memorabilia) and the Red parallel (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/303278/2021-22-Panini-Origins-Origins-Memorabilia-Red) - and it sorts between OM-JHD and OM-KAT, showing tcdb stores the token as JWL rather than mis-displaying a ZWL. No marketplace listing carrying a free-text OM- code for this card was reachable, so it is unresolved whether the oddity is a Panini printing quirk, a genuine code, or a tcdb data-entry error. Whether the card actually prints OM-JWL is UNCONFIRMED.
- G-010 Rookie Jumbo Jerseys roster discrepancy of one card. The base set page renders 39 rows and omits Kai Jones; the Red parallel page renders 40 and adds 'JJ-KAI Kai Jones'. Written as 39 (Kai Jones withheld from the base set) because two sources independent of tcdb's Red page agree on 39 without him: sets.csv card_count 39 (built from cardsmithsbreaks.com and checklistcenter.com without fetching tcdb) and breakninja.com (https://www.breakninja.com/basketball/21-22-Panini-Origins-Basketball-Checklist-For-Card-Set-Rookie-Jumbo-Jerseys.php?page_no=1), whose slots run 1-40 with slot 19 absent and which states Kai Jones appears only in a parallel. So the Rookie Jumbo Jerseys parallel tiers appear genuinely to carry one card more than their base set. Unusual but corroborated by two sources; recorded rather than silently normalised.
- G-011 Base Variation: the 10 card numbers are written with a trailing 'b' (6b, 10b, 30b, 34b, 51b, 52b, 53b, 54b, 55b, 57b) exactly as tcdb renders them at https://www.tcdb.com/Errors.cfm/sid/296050/2021-22-Panini-Origins . The 'b' is tcdb's disambiguator separating the variation from the base card of the same number; it is NOT claimed to be a character printed on the card, and no source was found showing what the card itself prints as its number. The variation is identified on the card by 'VAR: V on back' (a V printed on the card back), per that page's per-row annotation. Unresolved: the printed form of the number. team_or_school was taken from https://www.tcdb.com/ChecklistByLastName.cfm/sid/296050/2021-22-Panini-Origins because Errors.cfm renders no team column; those teams match base_cards.csv for the corresponding base numbers.
- G-012 Six Star Signatures: the two cards (SS-DR1, SS-DR2) are six-signer cards. player_name holds tcdb's full six-name string verbatim, including its irregular spacing in 'Jalen Suggs/ Josh Giddey', confirmed by a narrow verbatim re-fetch under a second slug. team_or_school was deliberately left EMPTY for both rows: each card spans six franchises and no single NBA team value would be honest. A consumer wanting per-player rows for these cards will need to split the name string; that was not done here because splitting would create card_number duplicates that the source does not print. - G-013 PRE-EXISTING ROWS, NOT WRITTEN BY THIS PASS, FAIL THE SPEC'S CITATION RULE. All 100 rows already in insert_cards.csv for Big Bang (25), Originals (25), Origination (20) and Origins Stories (30) carry notes of the form 'Cross-verified between breakninja.com and cardsmithsbreaks.com/checklistcenter.com' with NO full https:// URL. CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC section 1 requires a resolvable URL in notes on every row. Those rows were left byte-identical as instructed (append-only) and are NOT repaired here. Additional concern for whoever repairs them: breakninja.com, cardsmithsbreaks.com and checklistcenter.com are all on the spec's roster-only list - sources that must never supply a card_number - yet all 100 of those rows carry plain 1..N numbers sourced from exactly those three sites and from no other. For these four sets a plain 1..N run is plausible (they are non-coded SSP inserts and this release's coded sets all use letter prefixes), but it is UNVERIFIED against tcdb or any marketplace listing. tcdb sids exist for all four and would settle it cheaply: Big Bang 303261, Originals 303268, Origination 303269, Origins Stories 303280, e.g. https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/303261/2021-22-Panini-Origins-Big-Bang
- G-014 RUN SUMMARY, 2026-09-11 chase-checklist pass on origins-bkb-2021-22. All 11 assigned sets were resolved to 100 percent of their sets.csv card_count; 292 rows appended, 0 sets abstained, 0 rows withheld for unresolvable numbers, 0 TBD/TBA or bare-prefix tokens encountered anywhere in the release. Rows written vs card_count: Rookie Jersey Autographs 40/40, Origins Autographs Silver Ink 39/39, Rookie Autographs 39/39, Rookie Auto Booklet Patch 37/37, Legendary Autographs 18/18, Award-Winning Autographs 8/8, Six Star Signatures 2/2, Rookie Jumbo Jerseys 39/39, Origins Memorabilia 20/20, Base Variation 10/10. The one intentional mismatch is Rookie Jumbo Jerseys Red at 40 rows against card_count 1 - see G-006. Enumeration is provably complete on tcdb: Inserts.cfm lists 59 subset sids and the block 303248-303306 is exactly 59 contiguous sids, bounded below by sid 303247 (2021 Topps Chrome Formula 1) and above by sid 303307 (2021 Panini Playbook Gold), both foreign products. Numbering schemes found: letter-coded for all nine autograph and memorabilia sets (JA-, IK-, RA-, RB-, LA-, AW-, SS-, JJ-, OM-, each with a 2-3 character player suffix); tcdb 'Nb' variation tokens for Base Variation; and plain 1..N for the four SSP inserts written by the earlier pass. Prefixes independently corroborated outside tcdb: IK- (steelcitycollectibles.com), RA- (fanaticscollect.com), AW- (goldin.co). JA-, RB-, LA-, SS-, JJ- and OM- rest on tcdb plus roster corroboration from breakninja.com; see G-008 for the JA- adjudication.
- G-015 [CORRECTED 2026-09-11] 40 rows written for "Rookie Jumbo Jerseys Red" have been REMOVED. The research behind them stands and is recorded here; what was wrong was writing them as chase cards. FINDING (keep this): tcdb sid 303303 states Total Cards: 40, renders 40 rows flagged MEM/SN49, and Inserts.cfm files it as one of six colour parallels (Black/Blue/Gold/Green/Red/Turquoise, sids 303299-303304). It is a PARALLEL of "Rookie Jumbo Jerseys", not a distinct set - sets.csv's 1-card row traces to cardsmithsbreaks alone, against checklistcenter, tcdb and tcdb's own parallel filing. WHY THE ROWS WERE REMOVED: 39 of the 40 card_numbers are byte-identical to rows already written under "Rookie Jumbo Jerseys" in this same file, so keeping them would assert 40 distinct chase cards where there are 39 cards at a second colour tier. A parallel's checklist is not chase-card data; parallels.csv is where it belongs, and that file is out of scope for a checklist run. The rows also inflated this release's coverage by 39 against a card_count of 1. THE ONE THING THAT IS NOT A DUPLICATE: the Red tier carries JJ-KAI (Kai Jones), which the base set's 39 rows do not - see G-010, where the base page, sets.csv and breakninja all independently agree on 39 without him. So the open question for a human is whether Kai Jones belongs in the base set, whether sets.csv's 1 should become 40 and Red be treated as a set, or whether Red should move to parallels.csv. All 40 codes are recoverable from sid 303303 in one fetch; nothing is lost by the removal. Their minted ids are now dangling in id_registry.csv, which reconcile_ids.py reports as legitimate and load_pg.py handles by stamping retired_at rather than deleting. Ids are never reused.
