- G-001 No consulted source (cardboardconnection, beckett.com/news, checklistcenter) explicitly marks RC / Rookie Card designations on ANY base card in this release; checklistcenter and beckett both state RC status is not designated in the base checklist. All 300 base cards therefore carry rookie_flag=UNKNOWN, even though many (e.g. 61-100, 166-200, 261-300) are clearly 2020-21 first-year players.
- G-002 Distribution channel (hobby vs retail vs blaster vs mega) is not documented for the large majority of base parallels. Only Blue Retail, Tiger Prizm and Elephant Prizm (retail) and the three Pulsar parallels (FOTL) have an explicitly sourced channel; all others are recorded as channel=UNKNOWN. [REVIEWED 2026-08-17: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-17: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-17: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-17: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-17: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-17: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-17: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-17: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-17: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 7 of 54 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: count is now 94 of 141 - the channel pass resolved -87 of these with cited evidence. - G-003 Unnumbered parallel print runs were never announced by Panini (beckett: "Print runs for cards without serial numbers have not been announced"), so relative scarcity of Silver / Zebra / Scope / Tri-Color / Cracked Ice / Wave / Flash / Shimmer / Disco base versions cannot be verified.
- G-004 Tier-specific print runs for Flash Blue White Green and Shimmer Blue White Green (Premier Level /25, Courtside /10) are single-source (beckett.com/news only); cardboardconnection describes Premier Level and Courtside Flash/Shimmer only as "same as Concourse", which would imply /49 across all tiers. Recorded beckett's values.
- G-005 "Cosmic" base parallel is listed only by cardboardconnection (Concourse and Premier Level groupings). Not listed by beckett or checklistcenter. Print run and channel unknown; recorded as unnumbered / UNKNOWN. - G-006 Concourse Blue Prizm disagreement: beckett lists both "Blue Retail" and an unnumbered "Blue Prizms" for the Concourse tier; cardboardconnection lists only "Blue Retail" for Concourse (unnumbered Blue appears for Premier Level and Courtside). Both rows retained; Concourse applicability of Blue Prizm unconfirmed.
- G-007 Scope Prizm and Tri-Color Prizm are listed for Concourse and Premier Level but omitted from the Courtside tier list by both beckett and cardboardconnection. Recorded as not applying to Courtside; absence not positively confirmed by a source statement.
- G-008 Selective Swatches card count disagreement: cardboardconnection and checklistcenter list 39 cards; one beckett pass returned 40. Recorded 39.
- G-009 cardsmithsbreaks lists lower counts for several autograph sets than cardboardconnection/beckett/checklistcenter: Youth Explosion Signatures 37 vs 40, In Flight Signatures 28 vs 30, Signatures 28 vs 30, Selective Swatches 40 vs 39. Recorded the majority (cardboardconnection/beckett/checklistcenter) values.
- G-010 cardboardconnection's prose states "10" insert sets but enumerates only 9 (Artistic Selections, En Fuego, Phenomenon, Rookie Selections, Select Company, Select Future, Select Numbers, Turbo Charged, Unstoppable). beckett and checklistcenter both enumerate the same 9. A possible 10th insert set is unaccounted for.
- G-011 Draft Selections Memorabilia, Duet Selections Memorabilia, Selective Swatches and Sparks are memorabilia (relic) sets rather than true inserts, but the set_type vocabulary is limited to base|insert|auto; they are recorded as insert with a clarifying note. Whether any of these also contain autographed variations is not documented in the sources consulted.
- G-012 Whether the Premier Level and Courtside BASE cards themselves are die-cut (as opposed to only their numbered Prizm parallels) is not stated by any consulted source; cardboardconnection implies only the parallels are die-cut. Panini America's own preview blog does not clarify.
- G-013 Card-level checklists for insert and autograph sets were not extracted (out of scope per spec); only set names and counts are recorded.
- G-014 "Artistic Selections": no sourced own-parallel-tier colour list found for this non-base set. tcdb Inserts.cfm lists no colour-suffixed variant of this set.
- G-015 base_card_tiers.csv written: Concourse 1-100, Premier Level 101-200, Courtside 201-300, 100 cards each. Ranges independently corroborated by beckett.com/news (explicit ranges), checklistcenter, cardboardconnection and cardsmithsbreaks (per-tier 100-card checklist sections). No source consulted states whether the base cards are serial numbered or unnumbered, so print_run and serial_numbered are UNKNOWN in every tier row even though release.csv carries base_print_run=unnumbered with base_print_run_basis=assumed. No source consulted states that any of the three tiers is hobby-exclusive or retail-exclusive, so channel is UNKNOWN; the retail exclusivity that sources do state (Tiger Prizms and Elephant Prizms, and the Blue Retail parallel standing in for base in retail configurations) attaches to parallels, not to tiers. sets.csv base-row prose matches the sourced partition exactly. [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 94 of 141 parallels lack a sourced channel.]
- G-016 Signatures insert checklist is PARTIAL: 28 of the 30 cards in sets.csv were written. The printed card numbers for Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal could not be sourced. tcdb shows placeholder values "8" and "18" for these two in both the base checklist (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/276544) and the Gold Prizms checklist (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/276547), while all 28 other cards carry SG- letter codes; a plain integer alongside 28 letter codes is not a credible printed number. sportscardspro lists a "Charles Barkley #SG-CBK" but under "2021 Panini Select Signatures", a set that also contains Gary Payton, Steve Kerr (#SG-SKR), Sam Jones (#SG-SJN) and Richard Hamilton (#SG-RHM) and a Luka Doncic as #SG-LDC where our release prints #SG-LUD; tcdb confirms #SG-SKR Steve Kerr belongs to 2021-22 Panini Select, so that page is the following season and cannot supply these codes. Rows omitted rather than guessed.
- G-017 Signature Selections carries two DUPLICATE printed card numbers, each shared by two different cards: SIS-CHU (Chandler Hutchison and Chuma Okeke) and SIS-TBR (Thomas Bryant and Tony Bradley). Verified by a second verbatim re-fetch of tcdb sorted by player. Recorded verbatim, so card_number is not unique within this set. Set total is still 50, matching sets.csv.
- G-018 Two Signature Selections codes bear no relation to the player name: SIS-ASC = Bobby Portis and SIS-JLC = Wayne Ellington. Both were reproduced verbatim by two independent tcdb views (default and sorted-by-player), so they are recorded as tcdb prints them, but no marketplace listing was found to corroborate either, and both look like they could be tcdb data-entry errors carrying another player's code. Do not treat these two card numbers as confirmed.
- G-019 Follow-up to G-009 (autograph set count disagreements), now resolved in favour of the higher counts. In Flight Signatures, Signatures, X-Factor Memorabilia Signatures and Youth Explosion Signatures each have cards that appear ONLY in a parallel checklist on tcdb, not in the base insert checklist: In Flight Signatures base lists 28 but Gold Prizms lists all 30 (adds IF-GAN Giannis Antetokounmpo, IF-KJO Keldon Johnson); X-Factor base lists 22 but Gold lists all 25 (adds XF-ADV, XF-KPZ, XF-LLG); Youth Explosion base lists 37 but Gold lists all 40 (adds YES-JMC, YES-NMA, YES-NRC); Signatures base lists 28 but Gold Prizms lists 30 (adds SG-SDW, SG-THS). cardsmithsbreaks shows the same split, listing those cards under separate parallel headings. The sets.csv counts of 30/25/40 are therefore correct and cardsmithsbreaks' lower counts were counting the base checklist only. Whether these cards genuinely exist only in parallel form, or whether tcdb's base checklists are simply incomplete, is not resolved.
- G-020 Two different sets in this release share the DS- card-number prefix: Draft Selections Memorabilia (DS-ACH ... DS-ZEK) and Duet Selections Memorabilia (DS-ALH ... DS-ZLA). No individual code collides between the two, but card_number alone does not identify a card within this release; set_name is required. Confirmed on tcdb sid 276458 and sid 276464.
- G-021 Team names on insert/auto rows come from tcdb, which prints the historical franchise name a card depicts: "Seattle Supersonics" (IF-DMS, IF-SKM, SIS-JSI, SIS-SKE, XF-TCU, SG-DEL, DS-SKE), "New Jersey Nets" (SIS-KAN, SG-DCM) and "Washington Bullets" (DS-CWB). cardsmithsbreaks renders the same cards with modern names (Oklahoma City Thunder, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards), and base_cards.csv in this release uses modern names throughout. Recorded as the source prints them; a name-normalisation decision is needed before these join base_cards on team.
