- G-001 beckett.com is unreachable and was not consulted. Every request 302-redirects to maintenance.beckett.com and returns no content; this was not re-tested here because reference/caveats.csv CAV-033 records four agents measuring it independently. Consequence for this release specifically: the two editorial sources actually used for the parallel ladder and the set counts are cardboardconnection and breakninja. They are not obviously one lineage the way cardboardconnection and checklistcenter are, but Beckett was the third structural source sibling seasons leaned on and it is simply absent here.
- G-002 Card-level checklists for the sixteen insert and autograph sets are NOT in this release. They are a separate pass under CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC and no insert_cards.csv was written. Four coded prefixes were incidentally observed and are recorded here so the chase pass does not have to rediscover them: Swatches uses S- (S-KL Kevin Love, S-WM Wesley Matthews), Rookie Essentials uses RE- (RE-ZSM, RE-LW4), Legendary Status Materials uses LM- (LM-CD, LM-LJ), Freshman Signatures uses FS- (FS-AJN, FS-RW3). Two of those carry the 2018-19 digit-bearing Roman-numeral encoding (RE-LW4 Lonnie Walker IV, FS-RW3 Robert Williams III) and must not be normalized. Court Vision is plain 1..N.
- G-003 The three base tiers are sourced, but the mapping of each tier NAME to its card RANGE is TRIANGULATED and is not directly stated by any source. What is directly stated: cardboardconnection prints "Base Rookies 1 set Checklist: 50 cards. Walmart only.", "Base Rookies 2 set Checklist: 50 cards. Target Only.", "Base Status Set Checklist: 150 cards. Walmart only." and "Base Aspirations Set Checklist: 150 cards. Target only."; tcdb's Status parallel (sid 201838) renders cards 1-150 and tcdb's Aspirations parallel (sid 201829) renders cards 1-100 plus 151-200. The inference is that the Walmart 150 must be 1-100 plus 101-150, so Rookies 1 is 101-150 and Rookies 2 is 151-200. Two statements and two renderings on each side, mutually consistent, and still an inference rather than a source sentence. What is NOT in doubt is the partition itself - 1-100 / 101-150 / 151-200 - which is read directly off the parent and the parallels. If a later pass finds a source that names the ranges, this becomes sourced; if one names them the other way round, only the two tier names swap.
- G-004 Cards 77, 78, 79 and 80 carry rookie_flag=no on the strength of ONE endpoint reading. The default-sort Checklist.cfm?PageIndex=1 fetch delivered rows 1-80 with no flag token; the second, differently-varied fetch (?sort=0) stopped at card 76 and Gallery.cfm page 9 starts at card 81, so 77-80 fall in the one-reading window. Every other base card has at least two readings. The four players are Brandon Ingram, Kyrie Irving, Malik Monk and CJ McCollum, none of whom could be a 2018-19 rookie, so the risk is formal rather than substantive - but the flag column in this product was MEASURED lossy (see G-011) and the window is recorded rather than glossed over.
- G-005 THE RELEASE IS SPLIT BY RETAILER AND THE SCHEMA HAS NO RETAILER AXIS. cardboardconnection states the retail formats come "each with exclusive cards found at Walmart and Target", and names four store-specific blocks: "Base Rookies 1 set Checklist: 50 cards. Walmart only.", "Base Rookies 2 set Checklist: 50 cards. Target Only.", "Base Aspirations Set Checklist: 150 cards. Target only.", "Base Status Set Checklist: 150 cards. Walmart only." tcdb corroborates structurally: four base parallels (Aqua, Green, Orange, Status) render cards 1-150 and four (Aspirations, Blue, Purple, Red) render 1-100 plus 151-200, and the same colour split runs through the insert parallels - Aqua/Green/Orange on Court Vision, Elite Series, Rookie Credentials and Top Status against Blue/Purple/Red on Factions, Status Quo, Rookie Prominence and Symbols. `channel` cannot carry this: Walmart and Target are both retail, so channel=retail stays TRUE of every row (CAV-010's exclusivity reading is satisfied - these cards are exclusive to retail), and `channel_sku` is for box types (blaster, hanger, fat pack), not stores. The store statement therefore survives only as prose in visual_notes and in base_card_tiers.evidence_quote. This is a modelling gap of the same family as CAV-009: channel conflates trade channel, box SKU and region, and a retailer is a fourth axis none of those three can hold.
- G-006 CORRECTION TO specs/2018-19_SCOPE_MEMO.md. The memo files Panini Status under a heading reading "No `brands.csv` row (11)". That heading is FALSE for this row. reference/brands.csv carries `brd_01M2B8M6BJKF4BVCZ1A77FRZ29, Status, status, Panini Status Basketball, basketball, Panini`, and data/status-bkb-2019-20 has been built against it since before the memo was written. This release matched it byte for byte and minted nothing. That makes SIX of the heading's eleven rows now disproved - Contenders Optic, Absolute Memorabilia, Dominion, Impeccable, Cornerstones and now Status. The heading should be struck rather than corrected row by row. Note also a second memo claim tested here: the memo describes Status as "genuine line - retail-only" and that paraphrase turns out to be traceable to a real source sentence, so it is right; but it was inherited as an assertion in the memo and had to be re-sourced before it could be written (see G-011's sibling reasoning and the release note). A third memo claim is in tension with itself: section 6 says "Status not shipping after 2019-20 is absence-based; it was an Asia-exclusive with thin coverage", which describes the 2019-20 edition, not this one - 2018-19 is retail and 2019-20 is Asia, and the memo's two sentences read as if they were about one product.
- G-007 NO CLAIM IS MADE ABOUT WHETHER A PHOTO-VARIATION SET EXISTS IN THIS RELEASE, in either direction. Errors.cfm was deliberately not fetched and is deliberately not cited: CAV-020 measures that it returns the identical "No errors or variations have been added for this set yet." sentence on a set that provably has UER rows and on one that appears not to, so its silence discriminates nothing and citing it would manufacture a false negative of exactly the kind 43 rows across 32 releases already carry. What IS established independently is narrower and rests on a contiguous enumeration: base_set_size is 200, the base numbering is contiguous 1-200 with no unissued interior number, and no numbered block sits past the base run. A b-suffixed variation row duplicates a base number and would not surface in that enumeration, so it may still exist. A later pass with Errors.cfm ROWS (which are evidence when they appear) or a raw-HTML read would settle it.
- G-008 TWO BASE TIERS ARE PROVABLY SERIAL NUMBERED WITH A PER-CARD VARIABLE RUN, AND THE SCHEMA CANNOT SAY SO. This is the EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.3 expressiveness gap, not missing research. (1) Aspirations (tcdb sid 201829) renders 29 DISTINCT serial tokens across the 79 rows delivered for cards 1-79 alone - SN55, SN56, SN60, SN66, SN67, SN69, SN70, SN73, SN75, SN76, SN77, SN78, SN79, SN83, SN84, SN85, SN86, SN87, SN88, SN89, SN90, SN92, SN93, SN94, SN95, SN96, SN97, SN98, SN99 - and its cards 151-200 run SN23 to SN99. SN99 is modal on 16 of 79 rows, so a three-row sample would have produced a clean-looking sourced integer of 99 that is wrong on most of the set. (2) Status (tcdb sid 201838) renders SN1, SN13, SN7, SN25, SN3, SN1, SN23, SN7, SN5, SN22 on Gallery tiles 1-10 and tokens from SN1 to SN34 across cards 1-77 on Checklist. Both rows are written print_run=UNKNOWN / serial_numbered=UNKNOWN because the forced pairing has no third state, and both therefore read identically to "we found nothing", which is the collapse unknown_semantics.csv exists to prevent. The held fact, recorded here because the CSV cannot carry it: these two tiers ARE serially numbered and the run is per card. OBSERVATION not written as fact: nine of the ten Status tokens above equal that player's 2018-19 jersey number (Paul George 13, Jeremy Lin 7, Derrick Rose 25, Chris Paul 3, Reggie Jackson 1, Draymond Green 23, Kyle Lowry 7, De'Aaron Fox 5, Caris LeVert 22); Aaron Gordon, who wore 00, renders SN1 and does not fit, and no source states the scheme. If that is what it is, this is the same shape CAV-023 records for Chronicles' Jersey Number parallel.
- G-009 SERIAL-TOKEN ENUMERATION ON THE THREE NUMBERED FULL-BASE TIERS IS NEAR-COMPLETE, NOT COMPLETE, and the unread windows are named here so nobody reads the figures as exhaustive. Gold (/10): SN10 on every row of Checklist.cfm?PageIndex=1 (cards 1-51), ?PageIndex=2 (cards 101-150) and ?PageIndex=2&sort=0 (cards 151-185) - roughly 135 of 200 rows across three differently-parameterised fetches, with no second token anywhere; cards 52-100 and 186-200 were not reached. Kaleido (1/1): SN1 on every row of ?PageIndex=1 (cards 1-50) and ?PageIndex=2&sort=0 (cards 151-180); cards 51-150 and 181-200 were not reached. Pursuit (unnumbered): no token on any row of three fetches covering cards 1-81, 101-150 and 151-200. The specific failure this enumeration was aimed at - a single sid carrying different print runs across card-number ranges, as on Dominion's Gold and Cornerstones' Crystal - was looked for at BOTH ends of Gold and Kaleido and is absent, which is the reason the sampled windows were chosen at the extremes rather than contiguously.
- G-010 ALL 35 SET-SCOPE PARALLEL ROWS CARRY print_run=UNKNOWN AND serial_numbered=UNKNOWN, and none of their sids was fetched. What is sourced is their EXISTENCE and their names, read off the parent's Inserts.cfm "Insert Sets (51)" listing at https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/201827/2018-19-Panini-Status, whose 51 entries reconcile exactly against 16 base sets plus 35 parallels. UNKNOWN here means unresolved, never unnumbered (CAV-005, CAV-028). The sids are contiguous 201857-201907 with both boundaries proved foreign (201856 = "2019 Topps Transcendent Collection VIP Party '19 Topps Preview", 201908 = "2018-19 Upper Deck Compendium - Gold Parallel SP Achievement"), so a later pass can probe all 35 without any sid hunting. Note that the parent's Notes column is USELESS for this on this parent - it carries image-completion percentages ("64.0% of images added") on every row, which is the Contenders/Hoops Winter shape, not the Prizm shape, so the blank-annotation test cannot be run at all here and was not reported as run.
- G-011 THE SIX `unnumbered` BASE TIERS REST ON A POSITIVE DISCRIMINATIVE CONTROL PLUS TWO OR THREE FETCHES EACH, AND THE NEED FOR THE CONTROL WAS DEMONSTRATED INSIDE THIS RELEASE. Measured false negative: Checklist.cfm?PageIndex=2 on sid 201838 (the Status tier) reported no flag token on any row, while Checklist.cfm?PageIndex=1 and Gallery.cfm?PageIndex=1 on that same sid both render a per-card SN token on every row. So a silence from one fetch of this product is worth nothing. The control actually run is cross-endpoint and within-product at the same page index: Gallery.cfm?PageIndex=1 renders SN1/SN13/SN7/SN25/SN3/SN1/SN23/SN7/SN5/SN22 on tiles 1-10 of sid 201838 and renders NO token on the same ten cards of sid 201837 (Red); Checklist.cfm?PageIndex=1 renders SN10 on every row of Gold and 29 distinct tokens on Aspirations while rendering nothing on Aqua, Blue, Green, Orange, Purple and Red. Aqua, Blue, Green, Orange and Purple have TWO silent readings each (?PageIndex=1 and ?PageIndex=2); Red and Pursuit have three. None has a full 200-row or 150-row enumeration. If a later pass finds an SN token on any of these six, this is the row to re-open.
- G-012 Legendary Status Materials: tcdb's own page disagrees with itself. Its header states Total Cards "17" while the page rendered 14 rows to this fetch, running LM-CD (Clyde Drexler) to LM-LJ (Larry Johnson) (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/201879/2018-19-Panini-Status-Legendary-Status-Materials). 17 is written because the rendered run stops mid-alphabet at LJ, which is the documented truncation signature rather than a short set - but a header agreeing or disagreeing with its own rows settles nothing (a self-consistent tcdb header has now been wrong five times in this catalogue), and cardboardconnection does not carry this set at all, so there is no second opinion. A Gallery.cfm pass over the set would settle it in two fetches.
- G-013 ELEVEN OF THE SIXTEEN NON-BASE SETS HAVE A SINGLE-SOURCE card_count, all from cardboardconnection: Draft Night Autographs 25, Elite Series 30, Elite Signatures 30, Factions 30, Legendary Signatures 10, New Breed 26, Rookie Credentials 40, Rookie Prominence 40, Status Quo 10, Symbols 20, Top Status 20. The source was CALIBRATED on this release first and passed 2 of 2 - it states 10 for Court Vision and 29 for Freshman Signatures and tcdb's own pages render exactly 10 and exactly 29 - which is why its counts were used at all, but a calibrated source is still one source. Three further counts are single-source the other way, to tcdb only, because cardboardconnection does not list those sets: Swatches 18, Rookie Essentials 40, Legendary Status Materials 17. Each of the eleven costs one ViewSet.cfm fetch to corroborate and every sid is already known (see the per-row notes).
- G-014 THE EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.5 MIRROR CHECK IS ONLY HALF RUN. The inward direction is clear: the parent's own listing carries no prior-season subset - all 51 entries are 2018-19 Status sets, and the 18 sids between the parallel block and the insert block (201839-201856) are foreign products, two of which were probed and are "2017-18 O-Pee-Chee Platinum - VIP Black" and "2019 Topps Transcendent Collection VIP Party '19 Topps Preview". The outward direction was NOT fetched: tcdb's 2019-20 Status parent (sid 257914) was not checked for a "2018-19 Panini Status Update" block filed under it. Our own data/status-bkb-2019-20/sets.csv lists nine sets and none is an Update, which is suggestive but is our catalogue's view rather than a fresh read of that parent. The scope memo's phrase "the sophomore brand" implies a 2017-18 Status edition outside this catalogue; it was deliberately not chased, and if tcdb files 2017-18 subsets under this parent they would be the 5.5 mirror and would get a gap, not a set row. None were seen.
- G-015 STRUCTURAL DIVERGENCE FROM THE ADJACENT SEASON, recorded because a reader comparing the two will otherwise read it as an error. data/status-bkb-2019-20 has base_set_size 200 as one continuous run with NO tiers, one card per player, SIX base parallels (Blue, Red, White Diamond, Green Escher Squares, Gold Fireworks, Swirl-O-Rama), channel=asia, and an UNKNOWN release date. This release has base_set_size 200 too, but the 200 is 100 veterans plus the SAME 50 rookies printed twice, it has ELEVEN base parallels under a completely different colour vocabulary, eight of which cover only 150 of the 200 cards, channel=retail, and a dated release. Nothing about the sibling's shape carried over except the number 200, and even that number means something different. Both seasons are internally consistent and neither is a correction of the other.
