Numbering is not contiguous: #226 is not part of the 299-card base set. Whether a skipped number was never issued or belongs to another block is recorded in this release's notes and open questions, not inferred here.

  • G-001 Base set numbering is NOT contiguous: cards run #1-300 but #226 was never issued, giving 299 cards. base_cards.csv therefore contains 299 rows numbered 1-300 with 226 absent, violating the spec's contiguous 1..N rule. Confirmed by checklistinsider, cardsmithsbreaks, rawrsportscards and tcdb; no source explains the omission.
  • G-002 Base set size disagreement: checklistinsider, cardsmithsbreaks, rawrsportscards and tcdb all state 299 cards (no #226), but dknetwork.draftkings.com states the base set contains 300 cards. Recorded as 299 (4 sources to 1).
  • G-003 Beckett's dedicated parallel guide (beckett.com/news/2025-26-topps-chrome-basketball-parallel-guide-and-image-gallery/) returned HTTP 403 on every attempt (www and non-www, /amp/). It is the only source known to carry per-parallel images and visual distinguishing notes, so visual_notes are derived from pattern names plus pack odds rather than from observed card images.
  • G-005 FrozenFractor print run recorded as 5. Sources disagree on how it is expressed: checklistinsider prints '/-5', rawrsportscards says numbered '-5 to -1', dknetwork says 'numbered -1 through -5', Topps Ripped lists '/5'. Treated as 5 copies with negative serial numbering.
  • G-008 A Complete Factory Set version in which every base card is serial-numbered /199 was announced (checklistinsider). No source publishes a parallel name for these cards, so no row was created rather than invent one.
  • G-009 rookie_flag derivation: cardsmithsbreaks is the only fetched source that renders an RC column, and it marks RC on #251-300 only. Cards #1-250 were set to 'no' on the strength of that column being empty for the ranges inspected (1-60, 121-180, 241-250) plus the roster content (veterans, second-year players and legends). Cards in the 61-120 and 181-240 ranges were not individually re-verified for RC marks.
  • G-010 Topps Chrome Autographs card count disagreement: cardsmithsbreaks lists 24 cards, checklistinsider lists 25. Recorded as 24.
  • G-011 Insert card counts for 18 of the 26 insert sets (Voices, Xs And Whoas, Rock Stars, Let's Go, Ultra Violet All-Stars, Radiating Rookies, Helix, Go Time, Ball Of Duty, Inspirational, Activators, Serenity, Advisory, Glass Canvas, Paradox, Patented, Fanatical, Finals) come from beckett.com only. Set names are multi-source confirmed; counts are not.
  • G-012 Autograph set naming is inconsistent across sources: cardsmithsbreaks 'Topps Autograph Issue Rookies' (55) vs beckett/checklistinsider 'Topps Certified Autograph Issue' (TCAI, hobby=rookies / retail=veterans). These are recorded as two rows on the assumption they are the hobby and retail halves of one family; the relationship is unconfirmed and the retail count is unknown.
  • G-013 No card count published for Future Stars Autographs, Stratospheric, Gold NBA Logoman Relics or the retail Topps Certified Autograph Issue; recorded as UNKNOWN.
  • G-014 'Base Card Variations' (50 cards) is single-source (cardsmithsbreaks). Beckett maintains a separate variations guide for this release but its content was not retrievable within this pass, so the variation count and the exact variation types are unverified.
  • G-016 The complete 1-300 base checklist is effectively single-source (cardsmithsbreaks). Cards 1-30 were independently verified against tcdb.com and matched exactly; cards 31-300 were not cross-checked against a second full listing.
  • G-017 This release's notes describe base cards or a base subset as serial-numbered, but the figure is only in prose and could not be resolved into structured data. base_print_run is UNKNOWN rather than guessed. Resolving it needs either a base_card_tiers partition for this release or a re-read of the source that stated the run.
  • G-018 This release's notes describe base cards or a base subset as serial-numbered, but the figure is only in prose and could not be resolved into structured data. base_print_run is UNKNOWN rather than guessed. Resolving it needs either a base_card_tiers partition for this release or a re-read of the source that stated the run.
  • G-019 This release's notes describe base cards or a base subset as serial-numbered, but the figure is only in prose and could not be resolved into structured data. base_print_run is UNKNOWN rather than guessed. Resolving it needs either a base_card_tiers partition for this release or a re-read of the source that stated the run.
  • G-020 This release's notes describe base cards or a base subset as serial-numbered, but the figure is only in prose and could not be resolved into structured data. base_print_run is UNKNOWN rather than guessed. Resolving it needs either a base_card_tiers partition for this release or a re-read of the source that stated the run.
  • G-021 PER-SET PARALLEL TIERS: 1 of 40 non-base sets carry an enumerated tier note. The remainder returned NO dedicated parallel section on checklistinsider, the only source that calibrated cleanly for Topps products; a sample was confirmed absent by targeted per-name query rather than inferred from silence. Many appear to be plain unnumbered inserts that genuinely have no ladder. NOTE the source landscape here differs from Panini: tcdb's Inserts.cfm page, which carried this data for every Panini line, is NOT validated for Topps, and ripped.topps.com's Collector's Guide was caught FABRICATING a full rainbow ladder that a verbatim search disproved. Resolving further needs a first-party Topps odds sheet per product, not more scraping.
