A PHOTO-VARIATION LAYER on the rookie block, filed here rather than gapped. tcdb gives it no sid of its own; it sits inside the parent checklist as b-suffixed rows on base numbers 101 to 140, and Errors.cfm on the parent returns all forty in one fetch, each with its own photo descriptor -- "101b | Markelle Fultz | VAR: Shooting", "124b | Ivan Rabb | VAR: Dunking", "131b | Jawun Evans | VAR: Clippers Not Visible on Jersey" and so on. Two of the forty annotations render as a bare "VAR:" with no descriptor (137b OG Anunoby, 139b Sterling Brown); see G-016. Two further lineages carry it as its own checklist at 40 cards: cardboardconnection "Base Rookies Variation Set Checklist 40 cards." and sportscardchecklist "2017-18 Panini Ascension Variation (40 Cards)". cardboardconnection also says "Each box should contain one base RC cards and one Rookie Variation." set_type is "insert" for the same enum reason as the Veteran Throwback layer. These 40 cards carry duplicate base numbers 101-140 and are NOT in base_cards.csv. It DOES have a five-colour ladder, carried in parallels.csv with scope_type=set. See G-010.
