SINGLE-SOURCE COUNT (checklistinsider only), which states "VIPs (21)" (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2023-24-panini-contenders-optic-basketball). midwestcards independently names the set - "newly added Rookie Roundup and VIPs" (https://www.midwestcards.com/shop/basketball-cards/2023-24-panini-contenders-optic-basketball-hobby-box/) - but gives no count. No tcdb sid was reachable: "VIPs" sorts after "Veteran Ticket ..." and tcdb's Inserts.cfm delivers only 160 of its stated "Insert Sets (177)" (https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/461491/2023-24-Panini-Contenders-Optic), so the tail that would contain it is never rendered. See gap G-018.
Checklist · not documented
This set has a recorded count of 21, but the card-by-card checklist is not yet in the catalogue. That's an open research question, not a statement that no checklist exists. If you know a source that documents it, tell us — a pointer to one is exactly what closes these.
