- G-001 Release date single-convention risk. Three sources state 2018-11-07 without qualification - tcdb "Release Date: November 7, 2018" (re-fetched under a second slug as a narrow verbatim re-check, https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Panini-Donruss), Steel City Collectibles "Release Date: 11/7/18" (https://www.steelcitycollectibles.com/i/2018-19-panini-donruss-basketball-hobby-box) and DA Card World "November 7th, 2018" (https://www.dacardworld.com/sports-cards/2018-19-panini-donruss-basketball-hobby-box). cardboardconnection states the same day but labels it "Estimated Release Date: 11/07/2018" (https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball-nba-cards); under the spec an explicitly estimated date is not a date, so it was not used as the basis. Recorded because the aggregator a reader is most likely to check disagrees in KIND with the three that were used.
- G-002 base_print_run=unnumbered is basis=assumed, not sourced. No source states in words that the 2018-19 Donruss base cards carry no serial number. The evidence is discriminative but indirect: tcdb renders a serial flag token (SN349, SN199, SN99, SN79, SN49, SN25, SN15, SN10, SN1) on the rows of 12 of the 16 base-set parallel sids and renders no token on any row of the parent checklist. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss?PageIndex=1 ; https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss
- G-003 Channel unresolved for all 91 parallel rows: channel=UNKNOWN with an empty channel_basis. No source found in this pass states a trade channel for any individual parallel tier of this release. cardboardconnection's 2018-19 Donruss page rendered no parallel list at all; checklistcenter lists all 16 base tiers with print runs and no format annotation; tcdb states no channel anywhere. The one channel-adjacent statement found is a box SKU, handled in the next gap. Sources: https://www.checklistcenter.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball/ ; https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball-nba-cards ; https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 91 of 91 parallels lack a sourced channel.]
- G-004 The channel enum cannot express the one sourced format statement for this release. Steel City Collectibles states "Find 3 hanger box exclusive green flood parallels per box, on average" (https://www.steelcitycollectibles.com/i/2018-19-panini-donruss-basketball-hanger-box). channel_taxonomy.csv records hanger as a box-sku with no enum value, and the quote names the SKU rather than the trade channel, so the base-set Green Flood row was written channel=UNKNOWN with an empty basis and channel_sku=Hanger Box, following prizm-bkb-2018-19's handling of Multi-Pack and Gravity Feed. DIVERGENCE: donruss-bkb-2019-20 writes its Green Flood as channel=retail, channel_sku=hanger, channel_basis=from-note, and donruss-bkb-2020-21 writes the same tier as channel=retail with channel_basis=unsupported. Same evidence shape, opposite value, and nothing on either row tells a consumer which convention it is under. Recorded rather than smoothed over. [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 91 of 91 parallels lack a sourced channel.]
- G-005 MEASURED SPEC DEFECT in the Inserts.cfm Notes-column guidance. On this one parent the column's meaning differs BETWEEN SECTIONS OF THE SAME PAGE, a fifth behaviour the spec does not list. In the Parallel Sets (16) section the column has the documented Prizm shape - 12 rows annotated "Serial numbered to N", 4 blank - and a per-sid row-level probe of all 16 confirmed the split exactly. In the Insert Sets (105) section of the same page the blank cell carries no information: three blank-cell tiers were row-probed and all three are serial numbered - The Rookies Press Proof Black renders "SN1", Charles Barkley Short Prints Gold renders "SN10", Charles Barkley Short Prints Green renders "SN5" - and a fourth, Court Kings Press Proof Orange, is blank in Notes and renders "SN125". Writing unnumbered off blankness in the insert section would have been FALSE, not merely unsupported. The blank test was therefore used for base-set scope only. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss ; https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/189975/2018-19-Donruss-The-Rookies-Press-Proof-Black ; https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/190307/2018-19-Donruss-Charles-Barkley-Short-Prints-Gold ; https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/189819/2018-19-Donruss-Court-Kings-Press-Proof-Orange
- G-006 Which parallel print runs rest on a row-level probe and which rest on checklistcenter alone. All 16 base-set tiers were probed per sid in this pass and each carries the token, or the absence of a token, recorded in its own visual_notes. Of the 75 insert-scope tiers, 8 were row-probed (Court Kings Green Flood, Court Kings Press Proof, All Heart Press Proof, Court Kings Press Proof Orange, Express Lane Holo Red Laser, The Rookies Press Proof Black, Charles Barkley Short Prints Gold, Charles Barkley Short Prints Green) and the remaining 67 rest on checklistcenter's stated value, or on a non-blank tcdb Notes annotation, or both. checklistcenter was calibrated first: 16/16 on base-tier names, 12/12 on base-tier print runs, and 8/8 against the insert-scope row probes. Sources: https://www.checklistcenter.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball/ ; https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss
- G-007 Card count contested for Significant Signatures: tcdb states "Total Cards: 98" (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/189967/2018-19-Donruss-Significant-Signatures) while checklistcenter states 97 cards (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball/). tcdb's 98 is written because it is the renderer whose own rows can be counted. This is the only one of the 24 comparable counts where the two sources disagree; the other 23 match exactly.
- G-008 Modelling disagreement on the four 'Prime' sets. tcdb catalogues Jersey Series Prime (sid 189925), Rookie Jerseys Prime (189946), Rookie Materials Signatures Prime (189964) and Timeless Treasures Materials Signatures Prime (189977) as sets in their own right with their own sids and full card counts, while checklistcenter files Prime as a PARALLEL of the parent set ("Prime #/10"). They are written here as sets, following donruss-bkb-2019-20, which files Jersey Kings Prime and Jersey Series Prime as separate insert sets for the same reason. Consequence: their uniform print runs (SN10, SN25, SN10, SN10 respectively, read off tcdb's own rows) cannot be carried in a structured column, because sets.csv has no print_run column; they are recorded in each set's notes in words. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss ; https://www.checklistcenter.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball/
- G-009 Uniform set-level print runs that the schema cannot carry. Eight sets are uniformly serial numbered according to the flag tokens tcdb renders on their own rows - Dominator Signatures, Hall Dominator Signatures, Rookie Dominator Signatures and Rookie Materials Signatures and Timeless Treasures Materials Signatures at "SN99"; Jersey Series Prime, Rookie Materials Signatures Prime and Timeless Treasures Materials Signatures Prime at "SN10"; Rookie Jerseys Prime at "SN25". sets.csv has no print_run column and the figures are not parallel tiers, so they live in notes in words only and are not machine-readable. Source: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss
- G-010 Two insert sets are stated retail-exclusive and sets.csv has no channel column to hold it. Steel City Collectibles states "Retail exclusive inserts: express lane and fantasy stars" (https://www.steelcitycollectibles.com/i/2018-19-panini-donruss-basketball-24ct-retail-box) and "Find retail exclusive inserts including express lane, fantasy stars and more!" (https://www.steelcitycollectibles.com/i/2018-19-panini-donruss-basketball-hanger-box). Recorded in each set's notes in words. The phrase "and more" is not enumerable and no other set was assigned a channel on the strength of it. [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 91 of 91 parallels lack a sourced channel.]
- G-011 CONVENTION DIVERGENCE on the Rated Rookie block. This build writes two base_card_tiers rows, Base 1-150 (150) and Rated Rookies 151-200 (50), tiling base_set_size=200 exactly, and sets base_cards.card_tier accordingly. donruss-bkb-2019-20 has the structurally identical shape - its release notes say "cards 1-200 are veterans, cards 201-250 are Rated Rookies (RC) carried INSIDE the base numbering" - and writes NO base_card_tiers.csv at all, with card_tier empty on all 250 rows. donruss-bkb-2020-21 onwards were not checked. Same line, adjacent seasons, opposite call; recorded rather than resolved silently. The tiers are written here because the split is stated by three independent renderings (Steel City "a 200-card set including 150 base and 50 rated rookies"; checklistcenter's 1-150 / 151-200 'Rated Rookies' split; tcdb's "RR, RC" tokens on rows 151-200 and on no row below) and because a complete tiling is a precondition the deferred database trigger enforces. Sources: https://www.steelcitycollectibles.com/i/2018-19-panini-donruss-basketball-hanger-box ; https://www.checklistcenter.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball/ ; https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss?PageIndex=2
- G-012 Both tier rows carry print_run=UNKNOWN and serial_numbered=UNKNOWN. The quotes above support the card RANGES only; no source states a print run per tier, and the release-level base_print_run=unnumbered is itself basis=assumed. Following select-bkb-2019-20 and finest-bkb-2025-26, which carry tiers whose evidence supports the range alone and write UNKNOWN rather than propagate an assumption into a table that has no basis column.
- G-013 Card 150 Andre Drummond carries the tcdb flag token "UER" with the page footnote "UER: Career PPG is recorded to two decimal places" (https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss?PageIndex=15). This is a card-back statistic error and does NOT affect the card number, so 150 is written as a plain integer and the card is not treated as the section 2.4 misprinted-number case. Errors.cfm on the parent renders zero rows - "No errors or variations have been added for this set yet" (https://www.tcdb.com/Errors.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss) - so tcdb records no variation set for this release either. [CORRECTED 2026-09-20: THE Errors.cfm SENTENCE QUOTED ABOVE IS NOT EVIDENCE AND THE CONCLUSION DRAWN FROM IT DOES NOT HOLD. Measured 2026-09-20 on tcdb sid 182809: Errors.cfm returns that identical sentence for a set whose own renderings carry UER on at least two cards (card 260 Mo Bamba, "UER: Statline says Undrafted, was actually drafted 6th", confirmed under &sort=0; card 67 Justin Jackson, "Career stat line is that of Kosta Koufos"). The endpoint returns the same string on a set that provably HAS errata and on one that appears not to, so it discriminates nothing and its silence is uninformative. WHAT SURVIVES: any claim here about base_set_size, about the base run being contiguous, or about no numbered block sitting past the base run, because those rest on the independent contiguous enumeration also cited in this note - the last rendered Gallery page, the empty page after it, and the per-row flag column. WHAT DOES NOT SURVIVE: the narrower claim that NO VARIATION SET EXISTS. A variation set renders as b-suffixed rows (101a/101b) that a base-run enumeration is not designed to surface, and Errors.cfm was the documented route to it, so that claim is now unsupported rather than disproved - it may still be true. Not re-fetched; recorded so it is not read as settled. See reference/caveats.csv CAV-020.]
- G-014 Signature Series carries a printed card-code error that the chase pass must not normalize. tcdb renders its first row as "SC-YMT" (Yante Maten) flagged "AU, UER" with the footnote "UER: Card number has SC- prefix, should be SG-" (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/189965/2018-19-Donruss-Signature-Series). Recorded now because insert_cards.csv is a separate pass and a later agent reading only the code would either repair it or record the wrong one. No insert_cards.csv was written here.
- G-015 tcdb renders the parent set as "Lock It Up" and its five parallel sets as "Lock it Up Green Flood", "Lock it Up Holo Camo Laser" and so on, with a lower-case 'it'. The parent's own casing is used for set_name and the parallel rows carry only the tier name, so the divergence does not reach a written value - recorded so a later resolver matching tcdb strings is not surprised by it. Source: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss
- G-016 Aggregator naming drift, recorded because a resolver will meet both strings. checklistcenter renders the base-set laser tiers without the "Holo" word and with slashes - "Green/Yellow Laser", "Purple/Green Laser #/10", "Red/Blue Laser #/15" - and renders the base-set tier tcdb calls "Press Proof Purple" as "Press Proof Purple Laser #/199". tcdb's renderings are written, matching donruss-bkb-2019-20's naming of the same ladder. Sources: https://www.checklistcenter.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball/ ; https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss
- G-018 Donruss Optic is a DIFFERENT product and was not absorbed. tcdb's 2018-19 season index renders "2018-19 Donruss Optic" as its own product at sid 191579, separate from "2018-19 Donruss" at sid 183682 (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewAll.cfm/sp/Basketball/year/2018), and brands.csv carries it as a separate brand whose product_name is "Panini Donruss Optic Basketball". No Optic set, parallel or card was written into this release. Optic's own 2018-19 release is not built in the repository and is left alone.
- G-019 Single-source set inventory. The 31-row sets.csv rests on tcdb's Inserts.cfm listing for its MEMBERSHIP: 30 chase sets plus the base set, matching the page's own "Insert Sets (105)" once the 75 parallel rows are separated out. checklistcenter independently confirms 23 of the 30 names and counts but does not list Charles Barkley Short Prints, Jersey Series, Jersey Series Prime, Rookie Jerseys, Rookie Jerseys Prime, Rookie Materials Signatures Prime or Timeless Treasures Materials Signatures Prime. cardboardconnection's page lists only 4 insert and 4 autograph names and rendered no parallel list at all, so it is not a third structural source here. If Inserts.cfm omitted a set, this build has no way to see it. Sources: https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/183682/2018-19-Donruss ; https://www.checklistcenter.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball/ ; https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2018-19-donruss-basketball-nba-cards
- G-020 Beckett was unreachable again: https://www.beckett.com/news/2018-19-donruss-basketball/ returns 302 to a maintenance page. Recorded because the scope memo already notes the usual third structural source is gone, and this pass's "two sources" for several set counts are tcdb and checklistcenter only. web.archive.org remains blocked by this environment's egress proxy.
- G-021 Suspicious-uniformity check, investigated and cleared. Fourteen of the sixteen base-set tier names and print runs are identical to donruss-bkb-2019-20's ladder, which is the shape the fabrication checks call a template-fill smell. Investigated rather than deleted: every one of the sixteen was probed on its own tcdb sid in this pass and each rendered its own serial token or absence of one, and checklistcenter's independent list agrees 16/16. The two tiers that differ are the discriminating evidence - 2018-19 Holo Pink Laser is "Serial numbered to 79" against 2019-20's 50, and 2018-19 carries a Yellow Flood tier that 2019-20 does not while 2019-20 carries five Choice Infinite tiers that 2018-19 does not.
