- G-001 cardboardconnection.com states a release date of 'February 7, 2024' for this product, while checklistinsider.com, waxstat.com and cardsmithsbreaks.com all independently agree on 'March 13, 2024'. The three-source-agreed date was used in release.csv; the cardboardconnection date is not corroborated elsewhere and may reflect a solicitation date rather than street date.
- G-002 checklistcenter.com states Pen Pals is a '49' card autograph set while checklistinsider.com and cardsmithsbreaks.com (verbatim 'features a 39 card set') both independently state 39. Judged a likely conflation with the Red parallel's stated '#/49' print run on checklistcenter.com's part; 39 used in sets.csv on 2-of-3 source agreement.
- G-003 checklistinsider.com and checklistcenter.com both state 'Status #/92 or Less' this season, a lower ceiling than 2022-23's stated '#/99 or less' for the same parallel name. Recorded as stated for this season (92) rather than assumed carried over from the prior year; not independently corroborated by a third source.
- G-004 checklistinsider.com, checklistcenter.com and dacardworld.com (verbatim 'the short-print Mixorama') all describe Mixorama as short-printed, but no source states a numeric print run for it. Recorded unnumbered in parallels.csv per spec (no print-run field can hold a qualitative descriptor); the short-print characterization is not reflected as a scarcity tier in this file since no odds/print-run evidence was found -- see scarcity pass files for any tier assigned there.
- G-005 No blog.paniniamerica.net 'DROPPING'-style first-party release post was located specifically for 2023-24 Donruss Elite Basketball (one exists for 2022-23, at blog.paniniamerica.net/dropping-wednesday-3-15-2022-23-donruss-elite-nba-basketball-hobby/, and was used as corroborating pattern evidence only). Channel classification for this season instead relies on dacardworld.com's verbatim 'Hobby-Exclusive' parallel description and checklistcenter.com's 'Hobby boxes offer 2 signed cards each' plus steelcitycollectibles.com listing separate Hobby and Hobby-FOTL SKUs -- no source was found describing this season's product as Panini-website-only or Dutch-Auction-only, which would contradict the hobby classification. [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.] [REVIEWED 2026-08-19: still open; 82 of 100 parallels lack a sourced channel.]
- G-006 No per-set stated pull-rate odds or explicit 'Super-Short Printed'/SSP wording was located for Dimensions, Next Up, Titlists or the new Equalizers set from any non-marketplace source for this specific season (2022-23's sibling used steelcitycollectibles.com/dacardworld.com verbatim SSP language for the first three of these sets, but that wording was not found repeated for 2023-24). See scarcity_sets.csv for what was and was not tiered this season.
- G-007 GenreGraphs resolves 21 of 24 cards. tcdb's GenreGraphs page https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/417216/2023-24-Donruss-Elite-GenreGraphs-Basketball states 'Total Cards: 24' and renders 24 rows, but three of them store the LITERAL STRING 'TBD' in the card-number column instead of a GG- code. The three affected players are Chris Paul (Los Angeles Clippers), Russell Westbrook (Los Angeles Clippers) and Tracy McGrady (Toronto Raptors). All three are confirmed members of the set by an independent roster at checklistinsider.com https://www.checklistinsider.com/2023-24-donruss-elite-basketball (24 names under a stated '24 cards'), so the ROSTER is complete and only the printed numbers are missing. Those three rows were WITHHELD rather than written: 'TBD' is not a card number, and reconstructing a GG- suffix from the players' initials would be derivation, not evidence (the spec records that codes are not derivable from initials). The 21 rows that do carry real GG- codes were written verbatim, per the mixed-code rule that a single real code settles the numbering scheme for the whole set. To close this gap, a marketplace seller free-text title or a comc.com card page carrying the printed code for any of these three players would be sufficient; a search of eBay and goldin for these three returned no such title on this pass.
- G-011 CONTRADICTS EXISTING DATA -- parallels.csv appears to be missing eight parallel tiers, found via sid arithmetic and NOT acted on (parallels.csv is out of scope for this pass; recorded for a parallels agent). https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/403713/2023-24-Donruss-Elite lists a fully contiguous sid block 417139-417272 with no numeric gaps to probe: 18 base-parallel sids (417139-417156), 5 foreign 2022-23 Update sids (see G-010), and 111 sids for this release's own 21 non-base sets and their parallels. Our files carry 21 sets + 82 insert-scope parallel rows = 103, leaving 8 unaccounted for. The difference localises exactly: for each of Craftsmen (417177-417185), Elite Series (417192-417200), Full Throttle (417207-417215) and Spellbound (417256-417264), tcdb lists NINE sids -- base plus Black, Blue, Gold, Neon Green, Purple, Orange Die Cut, 'International Red and Gold' and 'International Red and Green' -- while parallels.csv records a six-tier ladder (Orange, Blue, Neon Green, Purple, Gold, Black) for each. 4 sets x 2 missing International tiers = the 8 difference, and the arithmetic then reconciles exactly at 111. Two secondary naming divergences on the same four sets: tcdb renders the Orange tier as 'Orange Die Cut', and on the six-tier AUTOGRAPH sets (Impact Impressions, New Breed Autographs, Rookie Yearbook Autographs, Turn of the Century Signatures) tcdb renders 'International Red and Gold' / 'International Red and Green' where parallels.csv has 'International Red' / 'International Green' -- those four reconcile on COUNT (6 each) but not on NAME. Not corroborated by a second source on this pass, so the tcdb tier names are reported, not adopted.
