Box-set reissue: the base checklist is identical, card for card, to 2024-25 Optic — the same 300 cards printed on premium stock and sold as a complete set.

No base-set parallel has a row in the catalogue yet. That is not a claim that none exist — this release's open questions record what is known about its parallels and why it is not yet expressible as a row.

  • G-001 SHARED BASE CHECKLIST / BASE-CARD IDENTITY COLLISION between TWO releases, per EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.2. This release (opticpremium-bkb-2024-25) and data/optic-bkb-2024-25 describe THE SAME 300 physical base card slots. THE OVERLAP NUMBER IS 300 OF 300 on card numbers and 300 of 300 on player names; team names match on 299 of 300, the single difference being card 240 Ray Allen, which is a defect in the EXISTING parent file and not in this one - see G-018. Measured, not estimated: all 300 rows were read individually off this product's OWN dedicated page, enumerated by card number in eight bounded asks never exceeding 40 numbers, under eight distinct URLs (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set for cards 1-25 and, under distinct fragment URLs, 26-65, 66-105, 106-145, 146-185, 186-225, 226-250, 251-275 and 276-300). None was refused and no number returned NOT DELIVERED. The transcription was then diffed positionally in Python against data/optic-bkb-2024-25/base_cards.csv. The rookie split is the same 250 no / 50 yes in both files. The Premium Box Set is therefore the FULL parent base run on premium stock, not a subset or a re-selection, and the 301 in "301-card factory set" is 300 base + 1 autograph, not 301 base slots. THIS IS THE SIXTH CONSECUTIVE SEASON OF THIS LINE TO MEASURE A COMPLETE OVERLAP: opticpremium-bkb-2019-20 G-001 200/200, -2020-21 G-001 200/200, -2021-22 G-001 200/200, -2022-23 G-001 250/250, -2023-24 G-001 250/250, and now 300/300. The base run grew from 250 to 300 because the PARENT grew: data/optic-bkb-2024-25/release.csv carries base_set_size 300 against data/optic-bkb-2023-24's 250. Both aggregators catalogue this product as a base-parallel line of the parent in this season too: checklistinsider "Premium Box Set - /249" (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball) and checklistcenter "Premium Box Set #/249" (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/). Built here as instructed and NOT deduplicated and NOT double-counted; the duplication is deliberate and must be resolved at catalogue level, not by deleting either file. ONE FIELD DIFFERS BETWEEN THE TWO RELEASE ROWS AND IT IS NOT AN ERROR: data/optic-bkb-2024-25 carries base_print_run=unnumbered / basis assumed, this release carries 249 / sourced, because the parent's base cards are not serial numbered and this printing's are (this product's page prints "/249" on every one of the 300 rows). A SECOND, SMALLER OVERLAP EXISTS ON THE AUTOGRAPH SET - see G-005.
  • G-002 THE SAME-NUMERAL TWO-UNIT TRAP (EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.4) WAS TESTED FOR THIS SEASON AND, AS IN 2022-23 AND 2023-24, NO SET-COUNT STATEMENT WAS FOUND. (a) PER-CARD SERIAL RUN = 249, which is what base_print_run records, and every 2024-25 statement found is unambiguously per-card: checklistinsider "with each card serial-numbered to 249 copies." (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set) - the unit words are "each card" and "copies". THAT SENTENCE WAS PINNED BY A CHARACTER-LEVEL RE-ASK because a first fetch of the same page had returned a DIFFERENT wording for it, "Each card showcases premium card stock with serial numbering to 249 copies.", which is a reconstruction rather than a copy and was DISCARDED. The re-ask, under a distinct URL, was shaped as "write out the 70 characters immediately before the digits 249 and the 30 characters after" and returned "with each card serial-numbered to 249 copies. Every card showcases a premium card stock and finish that many refer to as 'scope.'", and answered YES to whether the word immediately after the digits is "copies"; a second, independent fetch under another distinct URL had already returned the same wording. Corroborating per-card NOTATION rather than sentences: the same page prints "250 cards. /249." and "50 cards. /249." as block summaries and "/249" on every one of the 300 checklist rows; checklistcenter prints "Premium Box Set #/249" (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/); checklistinsider's parent page prints "Premium Box Set - /249" (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball); and the Box Break line reads "Full Base Set (/249)". base_print_run_basis=sourced rests on the per-card SENTENCE, not on notation. (b) NUMBER OF SETS OR BOXES PRODUCED: NOT STATED BY ANY 2024-25 SOURCE FETCHED IN THIS PASS. checklistinsider was asked the question directly, twice, under two distinct URLs - does any sentence on this page state a number of SETS produced or a number of BOXES produced - and answered NO both times. cardsmithsbreaks (https://cardsmithsbreaks.com/full-checklist/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball/), breakninja (https://www.breakninja.com/basketball/24-25-Donruss-Optic-Basketball-Checklist.php) and gogts.net (https://gogts.net/2024-25-donruss-optic-nba-basketball-cards-checklist/) were each asked the same question and each answered NO; none of those three mentions this product at all. No set/box count is written in any column - there is no column for one - and none was inferred from the per-card figure. THE COINCIDENCE IS REAL FOR THIS LINE EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT EVIDENCED FOR THIS SEASON: opticpremium-bkb-2021-22 G-002 records Panini writing both units in ONE SENTENCE ("printed to a limited run of 249, and includes 200 base cards - all numbered to 249"), the same numeral meaning sets in its first half and copies-per-card in its second. Nothing from that was used for any value here; it is recorded so a later reader knows the two-unit hazard is a property of the line and must be re-tested each season rather than assumed present or absent.
  • G-003 release_date IS WRITTEN AS UNKNOWN, for the second season of this line running. Exactly one source carries a date for this product and it labels that date an ESTIMATE: checklistinsider prints "Estimated Release Date:" followed by September 11, 2025 (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set). THE LABEL IS LOAD-BEARING SO IT WAS ASKED THREE TIMES UNDER THREE DISTINCT URLS, AND THE FETCH LAYER CONTRADICTED ITSELF ONCE INSIDE ONE RESPONSE, exactly as opticpremium-bkb-2023-24 G-003 records for the same site: a first fetch listed the page heading as "Release Date: September 11, 2025" in its heading list and then quoted the line itself as "Estimated Release Date: September 11, 2025" two answers later. A second fetch under a distinct URL answered YES to whether "Estimated" appears and quoted "Estimated Release Date: September 11, 2025", and YES to whether "Estimated" immediately precedes "Release Date" - while its own character-level answer for the 40 preceding characters returned "## Release Date: ", i.e. the fetch layer's own markdown heading rendering with the bold label stripped. A third fetch under a third distinct URL was asked the narrow yes/no and answered YES with the quote "Estimated Release Date: September 11, 2025". TWO OF THREE FETCHES AGREE THE WORD IS PRESENT AND THE ONE DISAGREEMENT IS INTERNAL TO A SINGLE RESPONSE THAT ALSO AGREED. An aggregator's estimate is not a statement of the release date, so under EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.1 the field is UNKNOWN rather than 2025-09-11, and the estimate is recorded here verbatim instead. NOTE THE COST, as the spec requires: this is a REGRESSION against the four seasons 2019-20 to 2022-23, which had unqualified "Release Date" labels from two sources, and it is now the SECOND consecutive season with no date. NO OTHER DATE SOURCE EXISTS: beckett.com 302s to https://maintenance.beckett.com/ (https://www.beckett.com/news/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-premium-box-set/); cardboardconnection publishes no page for this product - its 2024-25 Optic page (https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2024-25-panini-donruss-optic-nba-trading-card-box-set-review-and-checklist) is about the hobby/fast-break product and the only date on it is "release date scheduled for April 16, 2025", which data/optic-bkb-2024-25 already records as coming from a pre-release page whose specs were speculative, and which is in any case the PARENT product's date, not this one's; checklistcenter publishes no dedicated page and carries no date for the tier on its parent page; tcdb carries no release date on any of the three Premium Box Set sids. A reviewer who wants a date written should note that 2025-09-11 would be a SINGLE-SOURCE ESTIMATE. FOR CONTEXT ONLY, USED FOR NO VALUE: breakninja prints "Release Date: August 20th, 2025" and gogts.net prints "Donruss Optic Basketball Hobby is scheduled to release on Wednesday, August 20, 2025" - both for the PARENT hobby product, which data/optic-bkb-2024-25 already carries as 2025-08-20.
  • G-004 PARALLELS: THE BASE RUN HAS NONE, THE AUTOGRAPH SET HAS THREE, AND THE ENUMERATION THIS SEASON IS THE STRONGEST OF THE SIX SEASONS OF THIS LINE - the opposite of 2023-24, which recorded the weakest. (A) NO PARALLEL OF THE PREMIUM BOX SET BASE RUN WAS FOUND, and the absence is evidenced rather than unresolved, as in all five prior seasons (opticpremium-bkb-2019-20 G-004, -2020-21 G-004, -2021-22 G-004, -2022-23 G-004, -2023-24 G-004). (a) checklistinsider's parent page lists the base parallels by name and serial and gives this tier exactly ONE entry, "Premium Box Set - /249"; asked directly how many entries in that list contain the word "Premium", it answered 1, and asked whether any entry is "Premium" followed by a colour word it named only that same entry (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball). (b) checklistcenter renders the tier on the parent page as "Premium Box Set #/249" inside the base-set parallel lists and, asked directly whether any parallel such as "Premium Blue" or "Premium Gold" appears, answered NO (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/). (c) checklistinsider's dedicated product page has exactly THREE checklist sections - "Base Premium Box Set Checklist", "Base Rated Rookie Premium Box Set Checklist" and "Rated Rookie Signatures Premium Box Set Checklist" - and no parallel section for the base; the page was asked to list every heading ending in the word "Checklist" and returned those three plus the page's own guide title (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set). (d) ON TCDB, BOTH BOUNDARIES OF THE BLOCK CONTAINING THIS PRODUCT ARE PROVED. tcdb catalogues three sets for this product, all of them AUTOGRAPH-scope 12-card sets: 551032 "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Premium Box Set Blue" (Total Cards: 12, Notes "Serial numbered to 15", https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/551032/x), 551033 "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Premium Box Set Gold" (Total Cards: 12, Notes "Serial numbered to 7", https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/551033/x) and 551034 "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Premium Box Set Green" (Total Cards: 12, Notes "Serial numbered to 3", https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/551034/x). The 2024-25 Optic block they sit in runs 551028-551034 and is SEVEN sids wide: 551028 "2024-25 Donruss Optic - International" (Total Cards: 49), 551029 "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Fast Break" (Total Cards: 49), 551030 "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Optix", 551031 "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Gold Velocity" (Total Cards: 300), then the three Premium Box Set tiers. BELOW, sids 551027, 551026 and 551025 EACH RENDER THE TCDB HOME PAGE rather than a set page - three consecutive non-existent sids, the documented signal, exercised here as a positive control. ABOVE, 551035 and 551036 are "1923 R. & J. Hill Public Schools and Colleges (50) Small" and "... (50) Large" - two consecutive unrelated products. NO BASE-SCOPE PREMIUM BOX SET SID EXISTS IN THAT BLOCK. WHAT THE TCDB LEG DOES NOT PROVE, STATED PLAINLY: tcdb's 2024-25 Optic subsets are scattered across at least the 5509xx, 5510xx, 5514xx, 5515xx, 5517xx and 5657xx ranges and the ordering is NOT alphabetical inside this block (International, Fast Break, Optix, Gold Velocity, Premium Box Set Blue/Gold/Green), so a base-scope "Premium Box Set" sid could sit in another block and a seven-sid window cannot exclude it. tcdb's Inserts.cfm for the parent truncates before the Parallel Sets heading for the FIFTH consecutive season (see G-017), so the parallel list cannot be read. AND specs/2018-19_SCOPE_MEMO.md section 6 says explicitly "Do not use tcdb absence as evidence for those two seasons", 2024-25 being one of them. The no-base-parallel finding therefore rests on legs (a), (b) and (c), with (d) contributing only the positive fact that the three Premium Box Set sets tcdb does catalogue are all autograph-scope. (B) WHAT IS WRITTEN INSTEAD OF AN EMPTY FILE: three SET-SCOPE rows, Blue /15, Gold /7 and Green /3, scoped to "Rated Rookies Signatures Premium Box Set". They are parallels of the AUTOGRAPH set, not of the base run, so they do not weaken (A). Unlike 2023-24, where Gold and Green were single-source, ALL THREE ARE MULTI-SOURCE THIS SEASON: tcdb gives each its own sid with an explicit Notes print run, and checklistinsider prints "Versions: Blue /15; Gold /7; Green /3." under the set's heading; Blue additionally has a checklistcenter section of its own. See G-012 for why these are NOT the parent release's same-named tiers.
  • G-005 THE AUTOGRAPH SET OVERLAPS THE PARENT RELEASE, AND THE PRE-2023-24 CARD-NUMBER COLLISION DOES NOT REPRODUCE. (a) NO COLLISION WITHIN THIS RELEASE. The Rated Rookies Signatures Premium Box Set is 12 cards numbered 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 311, 313, 319, 324, 325 and 333. This release's base run is 1-300, so no autograph number duplicates a base number - as in 2023-24, and unlike opticpremium-bkb-2019-20 G-007, -2020-21 G-005, -2021-22 G-005 and -2022-23 G-005, where every autograph number was also a base number. (b) A SECOND REPACKAGING OVERLAP, AGAINST THE PARENT. All twelve numbers, players and teams match data/optic-bkb-2024-25/insert_cards.csv rows of the parent's "Rated Rookies Signatures Premium Box Set" exactly (302 Reed Sheppard Houston Rockets, 303 DaRon Holmes II Denver Nuggets, 304 Donovan Clingan Portland Trail Blazers, 305 Devin Carter Sacramento Kings, 306 Matas Buzelis Chicago Bulls, 307 Dalton Knecht Los Angeles Lakers, 311 Bub Carrington Washington Wizards, 313 Jared McCain Philadelphia 76ers, 319 Zach Edey Memphis Grizzlies, 324 Tidjane Salaun Charlotte Hornets, 325 Tristan da Silva Orlando Magic, 333 Ja'Kobe Walter Toronto Raptors). THE OVERLAP NUMBER ON THE AUTOGRAPH SET IS 12 OF 12. So this product repackages the parent TWICE over - the whole 300-card base run (G-001) and a twelve-card slice of the parent's 50-card 301-350 autograph block. THE SAME DOUBLE REPACKAGING WAS FOUND IN 2023-24 AT 10 OF 10 (opticpremium-bkb-2023-24 G-005); it is now confirmed for a second consecutive season and should be treated as a property of the line rather than a one-off. Sources for the twelve rows, three of them independent: tcdb sid 551032 (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/551032/x), checklistinsider (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set) and checklistcenter (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/). No card-level checklist is written here; that belongs to a later pass (CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC).
  • G-006 Structural divergence between our release-level model and every source, unchanged from all five prior seasons and re-tested this season. tcdb has NO parent sid for this product. It exists on tcdb only as three SUBSETS of the 2024-25 Donruss Optic parent sid 496490 - 551032, 551033 and 551034, the three autograph colour tiers - and tcdb catalogues NO base-scope set for the product at all, so the thing this release calls its base set has no tcdb page. That is a NEW shape: in 2019-20 through 2023-24 tcdb had a base subset and no autograph page, and this season it has autograph pages and no base subset. checklistcenter files the whole product inside the parent Optic checklist page (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/) and publishes no dedicated page. checklistinsider is the only source giving it a page of its own (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set). cardboardconnection has no page for it. Everything structural in this release therefore comes from a source that considers it part of another product, or from a single site; no independent product-level STRUCTURAL source exists.
  • G-007 NAME-COLLISION HAZARD CHECKED. In 2021-22 three box sets ran concurrently and tcdb's name for a DIFFERENT set, "Premium Stock", contained the word Premium (opticpremium-bkb-2021-22 G-007). FOR 2024-25 NO SUCH SIBLING WAS FOUND: checklistinsider's base parallel list for the parent contains exactly one entry with the word "Premium", "Premium Box Set - /249", and the count was asked for and answered as 1 (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball); checklistcenter's parent page carries "Premium Box Set #/249" and no Fanatics Box Set or Target Box Set line (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/); and the proved seven-sid tcdb window 551028-551034 contains no "Premium Stock", no "Fanatics" and no "Target" set. Each source used in this release was nevertheless checked for which product it describes: tcdb sids 551032-551034 by their set names containing "Premium Box Set" and their 12-row checklists of cards 302-333; checklistinsider by its page H1 "2024-25 Donruss Optic Premium Basketball Factory Set Checklist Guide"; checklistcenter by its section heading "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Base Rated Rookies Signatures Premium Box Blue Set". CAVEAT: the absence of a Fanatics/Target box set for 2024-25 is asserted only from those renderings plus a seven-sid window; no source was fetched that states there is none.
  • G-008 ROOKIE_FLAG AND THE LITERAL FLAG TOKENS THIS SEASON'S PAGES PRINT. RECORDED AS LITERAL STRINGS, NOT GLOSSED. WHAT THIS PRODUCT'S OWN PAGE PRINTS: on checklistinsider's dedicated page every row from 251 to 300 carries the literal characters "RC" after the team name and no row from 1 to 250 does. The page was asked the narrow question "do any of the lines for cards 1 through 250 carry the characters RC" and answered YES only for 251-300, listing all fifty numbers, which is an answer to the complementary question and confirms the split in both directions (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set). The two blocks are also separated by the page's own headings, "Base Premium Box Set Checklist" (250 cards) and "Base Rated Rookie Premium Box Set Checklist" (50 cards). WHAT THE PARENT'S TCDB PAGE PRINTS FOR THE IDENTICAL CARD SLOTS: on sid 496490, cards 251, 252, 255, 260 and 270 each carry the literal flag string "RR, RC", and a request for every DISTINCT flag-token string in the delivered content of that page returned exactly one string, "RR, RC" (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/496490/2024-25-Donruss-Optic?PageIndex=3). THE 2022-23 AND 2023-24 FINDING - that the SAME physical checklist is flagged "RR, SN249" under the box-set sid and "RR, RC" under the parent sid - COULD NOT BE RE-RUN THIS SEASON, because tcdb catalogues no base-scope box-set sid for 2024-25 (G-006). Only the parent half of the comparison exists, and it prints "RR, RC". The serial-flag half of the pattern does survive on the autograph tiers: tcdb sid 551032 renders the literal token "AU, SN15" on its rows (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/551032/x). WHAT WAS WRITTEN AND WHY: rookie_flag=yes for 251-300 and no for 1-250. This matches data/optic-bkb-2024-25/base_cards.csv for the identical checklist (250 no, 50 yes) and matches the line's five prior seasons. Under the strictest reading of the two literal characters R then C, this season SATISFIES EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.4 from THIS PRODUCT'S OWN PAGE, which is stronger than 2022-23 and 2023-24, where the "RC" characters were available only from the parent sid. FABRICATION CONTROL, AND ONE CAUGHT LIVE: "RR" is recorded here as a LITERAL TOKEN and deliberately NOT glossed - opticpremium-bkb-2021-22 G-015(c) records the fetch layer inventing two contradictory expansions of "RR" ("Rookie Recollection", "Rookie Reviver"), neither of which appears on any page. Every flag question in this pass was asked as "copy the literal characters, do not expand, gloss or explain any abbreviation". Nothing is written anywhere about what "RR" stands for. THE CAUGHT ERROR: the fetch of https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/551032/x obeyed the instruction for the token itself but then appended an unrequested expansion of its own, writing that all cards carry "AU, SN15" designations followed by a parenthesised gloss naming those two tokens. ONLY THE LITERAL STRING "AU, SN15" IS RECORDED; the gloss was discarded and supports nothing.
  • G-009 base_set_size is written as 300 while the most quotable headline figure on the only dedicated page is 301: checklistinsider "301-card factory set" under the heading "2024-25 Donruss Optic Premium Basketball Factory Set Product Configuration" (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set). 300 was written because that same source decomposes its own 301 into 300 + 1 - the Box Break section reads "Full Base Set (/249)" and "1 Autograph (/15 or less)", and the two base checklist blocks are summarised "250 cards. /249. Full set per box." and "50 cards. /249. Full set per box." which sum to 300 - because the last row of the first block is card 250 and the last row of the second is card 300, both read directly, and because EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.3 requires the autograph block to be excluded. Flagged because any later source quoting "301 cards" will look like a coverage hole against this file and is not one. Same call as all five prior seasons (opticpremium-bkb-2019-20 G-011, -2020-21 G-009, -2021-22 G-009 where the arithmetic ran 201 = 200 + 1, -2022-23 G-009 and -2023-24 G-009 where it ran 251 = 250 + 1). NOTE the base run grew from 250 to 300 this season, tracking the parent Optic base run, which data/optic-bkb-2024-25/release.csv also carries as 300 and describes as veterans 1-225, Legends 226-250 and Rated Rookies 251-300.
  • G-010 THE NAMING QUESTION - WHAT THIS SEASON'S SOURCES ACTUALLY PRINT, AND MY VERDICT. RAISED, NOT DECIDED, per EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.1: a brand-identity change is a catalogue-level decision and reference/brands.csv was NOT touched. product_name was written as "Donruss Optic Premium Box Set Basketball" to match reference/brands.csv byte for byte, and the build script ASSERTS that equality against reference/brands.csv before writing anything (note brands.csv carries no "Panini" prefix for this line, unlike the sibling "Panini Donruss Optic Basketball"). THE SCOPE MEMO'S EXPECTATION: specs/2018-19_SCOPE_MEMO.md states "Donruss Optic Premium Box Set -> 'Donruss Optic Premium Basketball Factory Set' from 2023-24" and "Searching only for 'Premium Box Set' misses 2023-24 and 2024-25". The memo already carries a dated correction recording that the 2023-24 build REFUTED the rename. 2024-25 is the other season it flags. MY VERDICT FOR THIS SEASON, STATED PLAINLY AS ASKED: THE 2024-25 EVIDENCE DOES NOT SUPPORT A GENUINE PRODUCT RENAME EITHER. It supports SITE-LEVEL, and again PAGE-LEVEL, VARIATION, and this season the balance moves FURTHER toward "Premium Box Set", not toward "Factory Set". Five findings drive that. (1) TCDB USES "PREMIUM BOX SET" IN 2024-25, IN THE SET NAME ITSELF, THREE TIMES. Its three catalogued sets for this product are named "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Premium Box Set Blue" (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/551032/x), "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Premium Box Set Gold" (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/551033/x) and "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Premium Box Set Green" (https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/551034/x). tcdb dropped "Box Set" in 2021-22 and 2022-23, restored it in 2023-24, and keeps it in 2024-25. The words the memo expected to vanish are present in every tcdb name this season. (2) THE SITE THAT SAYS "FACTORY SET" SAYS "PREMIUM BOX SET" EVERYWHERE ELSE ON THE SAME PAGE, exactly as in 2023-24. checklistinsider titles the dedicated page with H1 "2024-25 Donruss Optic Premium Basketball Factory Set Checklist Guide" and repeats "Factory Set" in its Details, Product Configuration and Box Break headings - but every CHECKLIST section heading on that same page reads "Base Premium Box Set Checklist", "Base Rated Rookie Premium Box Set Checklist" and "Rated Rookie Signatures Premium Box Set Checklist" (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set). On its PARENT page the same site lists the tier as "Premium Box Set - /249" and refers to "the 2024-25 Donruss Optic Premium Basketball Factory Set format" (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball). One site, both names, same season, for the second season running. (3) NO 2024-25 SOURCE OTHER THAN CHECKLISTINSIDER USES "FACTORY SET" AS THE PRODUCT'S NAME. checklistcenter was asked directly whether any line on its 2024-25 Optic page contains "Factory Set" and answered NO; it prints "Premium Box Set #/249" and the section heading "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Base Rated Rookies Signatures Premium Box Blue Set" (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/). cardsmithsbreaks (https://cardsmithsbreaks.com/full-checklist/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball/), breakninja (https://www.breakninja.com/basketball/24-25-Donruss-Optic-Basketball-Checklist.php) and gogts.net (https://gogts.net/2024-25-donruss-optic-nba-basketball-cards-checklist/) were each asked and each answered NO to "Factory Set" - and NO to "Premium" as well, so they are silent rather than supporting either name. (4) BECKETT TITLES ITS 2024-25 PAGE "PREMIUM BOX SET". The page could not be fetched - https://www.beckett.com/news/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-premium-box-set/ returns HTTP 302 to https://maintenance.beckett.com/ - but its indexed title is "2024-25 Donruss Optic Basketball Premium Box Set Checklist and Details". RECORDED AS A SEARCH-RESULT TITLE ONLY, NOT FETCHED, AND USED FOR NO VALUE. opticpremium-bkb-2023-24 G-010 recorded this same beckett title a year ago as a forward-looking note; this pass confirms the URL and the redirect and nothing more. (5) ONE SOURCE PRINTS A SIXTH WORD ORDER, AND IT IS NOT "FACTORY SET" EITHER. cardboardconnection titles its 2024-25 Optic page "2024-25 Panini Donruss Optic NBA Trading Card Box Set Review and Checklist" and carries, inside a marketplace listing block on that page, the string "2024-25 Panini Donruss Optic NBA Basketball Factory Sealed Premium Box Set /249" (https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2024-25-panini-donruss-optic-nba-trading-card-box-set-review-and-checklist). "Factory Sealed" there is a condition description attached to "Premium Box Set", not the product name "Factory Set", and the distinction matters: a keyword search for "Factory" would match it and a reader would be wrong to count it as a rename witness. RECORDED, USED FOR NO VALUE. SO THE 2024-25 CONCURRENT VARIANTS ARE AT LEAST: "Premium Box Set" (tcdb set names x3, checklistcenter, checklistinsider's own section headings and parent parallel list, beckett's indexed page title, cardboardconnection's embedded listing) and "Factory Set" (checklistinsider page title and its Details/Configuration/Box Break headings only). THE DIVERGENCE IS ESCALATED HERE AND IN THE REPORT RATHER THAN RESOLVED. Any catalogue-level decision to rename would now have to explain why tcdb carries "Premium Box Set" in all three 2024-25 set names, why beckett titles the 2024-25 page "Premium Box Set", and why the only site using "Factory Set" simultaneously uses "Premium Box Set" in its own checklist headings in both seasons the memo flags. THE MEMO'S PRACTICAL WARNING STILL STANDS REGARDLESS: a search for "Premium Box Set" alone would have missed checklistinsider's dedicated page, whose URL slug is 2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set, and that page is the only card-level source for this release's base run.
  • G-011 SOURCES THAT COULD NOT BE FETCHED OR DO NOT EXIST THIS SEASON, recorded so their absence is visible rather than silently reducing the evidence base. (a) BECKETT IS UNREACHABLE for the ninth pass running: https://www.beckett.com/news/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-premium-box-set/ returns HTTP 302 to https://maintenance.beckett.com/. Its indexed title is the single strongest third-party naming witness this season and it could not be read. (b) CARDBOARDCONNECTION HAS NO PAGE FOR THIS PRODUCT. https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2024-25-panini-donruss-optic-nba-trading-card-box-set-review-and-checklist exists but is about the parent hobby product ("The 2024-25 Donruss Optic base set comprises 300 cards", "Hobby boxes guarantee one autograph", "Fast Break Boxes"); the only occurrence of "Premium Box Set" on it is inside a marketplace listing string. This is the second consecutive season with no cardboardconnection page for the product, the 2022-23 build having taken base_set_size, release_date and the per-card print-run wording from a dedicated one. (c) CHECKLISTCENTER PUBLISHES NO DEDICATED PAGE, for the second consecutive season; the product appears only as lines inside the parent Optic page. (d) THREE FURTHER AGGREGATORS DO NOT CARRY THE PRODUCT AT ALL. cardsmithsbreaks (https://cardsmithsbreaks.com/full-checklist/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball/), breakninja (https://www.breakninja.com/basketball/24-25-Donruss-Optic-Basketball-Checklist.php) and gogts.net (https://gogts.net/2024-25-donruss-optic-nba-basketball-cards-checklist/) were each fetched and each answered that no line on the page contains the word "Premium". cardsmithsbreaks is worth flagging specifically: data/optic-bkb-2024-25 G-024 records cardsmithsbreaks modelling this SKU as parallels of Rated Rookies Signatures, and the page fetched in THIS pass returned no "Premium" line at all, so either the page changed or that content sits below what was delivered. No claim of absence is made from it. (e) NO MANUFACTURER SOURCE. No Panini blog post and no paniniamerica.net product page for the 2024-25 Premium Box Set was surfaced by search; none was fetched and nothing rests on one. This matters for G-002, because 2021-22 is the only season of this line where Panini itself stated the print run. CONSEQUENCE: base_print_run, base_set_size, release_date and the entire base checklist rest on checklistinsider for the WORDS and the ROWS, with checklistcenter corroborating the tier line and the autograph Blue version, and tcdb corroborating the three autograph colour tiers and the product name. That is thinner on the BASE and thicker on the AUTOGRAPH than 2023-24 was.
  • G-012 CONTRADICTIONS AGAINST EXISTING DATA, two of them, both involving data/optic-bkb-2024-25 (a third, on a base card's team, is at G-018). (a) THE PREMIUM BOX SET AS A PARENT-RELEASE PARALLEL ROW - THE SIX-SEASON CONVENTION SPLIT. data/optic-bkb-2019-20/parallels.csv carries a row for the Premium Box Set as a base parallel of the parent product; data/optic-bkb-2020-21, -2021-22 and -2022-23 deliberately carry NONE (recorded at opticpremium-bkb-2020-21 G-012, -2021-22 G-012, -2022-23 G-012); data/optic-bkb-2023-24 carries one again (opticpremium-bkb-2023-24 G-012); and data/optic-bkb-2024-25/parallels.csv CARRIES ONE TOO - par_01M19N6TK8ET14KE2T868ESRF4, parallel_name "Premium Box Set", print_run 249, serial_numbered yes, scope_type base-set, channel UNKNOWN, source_confidence multi, visual_notes "Premium Box Set SKU exclusive; not one of the spec channel values". So across six seasons the identical real-world object is a parent parallel row in 2019-20, a stated omission in 2020-21 through 2022-23, and a parent parallel row again in 2023-24 and 2024-25 - while simultaneously being this release's entire base set. Both aggregators catalogue it as a base parallel of the parent in this season (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/ "Premium Box Set #/249"; https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball "Premium Box Set - /249"). Nothing outside this release directory was touched. Recorded for a repair pass to settle ONE convention across the six seasons; whichever way it goes it interacts with G-001, since the object is simultaneously this release's whole base set. (b) THE AUTOGRAPH SET'S COLOUR TIERS COLLIDE BY NAME WITH THE PARENT'S, HAVE DIFFERENT RUNS, AND THIS RELEASE NOW HOLDS FIGURES THE PARENT RECORDS AS UNKNOWN. data/optic-bkb-2024-25/parallels.csv carries Gold and Green as set-scope tiers of "Rated Rookies Signatures Premium Box Set" with print_run UNKNOWN and serial_numbered UNKNOWN, under a dated marker saying only that the tier EXISTS; it carries no Blue row for that scope at all. THIS RELEASE WRITES Blue 15, Gold 7 and Green 3, each from two independent renderings - tcdb's own Notes lines "Serial numbered to 15", "Serial numbered to 7" and "Serial numbered to 3" on sids 551032, 551033 and 551034, and checklistinsider's "Versions: Blue /15; Gold /7; Green /3." So the parent's two UNKNOWN runs are now sourceable and a repair pass can fill them, and a Blue row is missing there entirely. SEPARATELY, the PARENT product's own "Rated Rookies Signatures" set - a different object with the same colour names - has runs checklistcenter states as Blue #/49, Gold #/10 and Green #/5 (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/), against this set's 15, 7 and 3. This is the same-name-across-scopes hazard CLAUDE.md describes, except the two scopes live in DIFFERENT RELEASES, where scope_ambiguous and scope_ambiguous_scopes cannot reach; the collision is therefore carried in each row's visual_notes and here. It is the identical finding opticpremium-bkb-2023-24 G-012(b) recorded, with different numbers, so it is a property of the line.
  • G-013 license_status WAS specified in the task prompt this time, as "licensed (NBA)" catalogue-wide, and that is what is written. Recorded because it DIVERGES from the four earliest seasons of this line: data/opticpremium-bkb-2019-20, -2020-21, -2021-22 and -2022-23 all carry "licensed (NBA/NBPA)", while data/opticpremium-bkb-2023-24 carries "licensed (NBA)" under a dated normalisation marker whose reasoning applies here unchanged - no source of any kind states a licensing grantor for these products, so "NBA/NBPA" adds a grantor nobody verified and "licensed (NBA)" is the weaker, sourceable claim. This release therefore agrees with its immediate predecessor and with the same-season sibling data/optic-bkb-2024-25, which also carries "licensed (NBA)", and disagrees with the four seasons before that. No source was fetched that states either wording; this remains a catalogue-convention value, not an evidenced one. licensed=yes and league=NBA were given in the task prompt and are unaffected.
  • G-014 SINGLE-SOURCE, POSSIBLY-DEPENDENT AND UNRESOLVED ITEMS, listed so they are not mistaken for settled values. (a) THE ENTIRE BASE CARD-LEVEL ROSTER IS SINGLE-SOURCE FOR THIS PRODUCT. All 300 base rows rest on checklistinsider (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set) ALONE as a source for the PREMIUM printing. tcdb catalogues no base-scope box-set subset this season (G-006), checklistcenter publishes no dedicated page, and cardboardconnection has no page. All 300 rows do match data/optic-bkb-2024-25/base_cards.csv on number and player, but that is this project's own separately-built parent release, not an independent third-party source - and one of its team values is wrong (G-018), which is itself a reminder that it is not a source. THE PARENT CHECKLIST is independently rendered by tcdb sid 496490 (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/496490/2024-25-Donruss-Optic?PageIndex=1, https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/496490/2024-25-Donruss-Optic?PageIndex=3), so the physical cards have two independent renderings; the PREMIUM PRINTING of them has one. This is comparable to 2023-24, which was also card-level single-source, and weaker than 2022-23, which had two. (b) base_print_run=249 / basis=sourced rests on ONE site's per-card sentence, corroborated by per-card NOTATION rather than sentences elsewhere (checklistcenter "#/249", checklistinsider parent "- /249"). EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.1 is satisfied by the sentence, not the notation. This is weaker than 2021-22, where Panini itself stated the per-card run. (c) The autograph set's Gold /7 and Green /3, SINGLE-SOURCE in 2023-24, are MULTI-SOURCE this season (tcdb sid Notes plus checklistinsider); Blue has three renderings. This is the one axis on which 2024-25 is better evidenced than any prior season of the line. (d) scarcity_tier for the autograph set is UNKNOWN - no source states a tier - and its stated_odds "1 Autograph (/15 or less)" is the Box Break line, which is a per-box guarantee rather than pack odds. NOTE "/15 or less" IS A CEILING AND IS NOT WRITTEN AS A PRINT RUN ANYWHERE (CLAUDE.md; EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.3): the set's card_count is 12 and the three version runs are written as 15, 7 and 3 from explicit per-version statements on two sites, never from the ceiling. (e) The base cards' FINISH was not resolved and is written nowhere: checklistinsider calls the printing a finish "that many refer to as 'scope'", which is a finish name this catalogue does not carry as a field; no finish name was written. (f) INDEPENDENCE CAVEAT (EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.4): checklistinsider's dedicated page reproduces the cardboardconnection page template - H1 "... Checklist Guide", then Details, Product Configuration, Box Break, "Buy ... Boxes", Checklist - so where checklistinsider and the cardboardconnection family are both cited they may be ONE opinion. Nothing in this release cites cardboardconnection for a value. The genuinely independent corroboration here is tcdb: three set names, three Notes print runs, a twelve-row checklist, and the parent's "RR, RC" flags. (g) No marketplace listing was used as evidence for any value in this release. Two eBay item titles surfaced by search - "2024-25 Panini Donruss Optic Tristen Newton Rated Rookie Premium Box Set #/249" (https://www.ebay.de/itm/236468838582) and "2024-25 Panini Donruss Optic Bub Carrington Rated Rookie Premium Box Set #/249" (https://www.ebay.de/itm/236331402001) - are consistent with the per-card /249 figure and with the "Premium Box Set" name, but they were NOT fetched and support nothing written here. (h) SOURCE CALIBRATION (EXTRACTION_SPEC 4.6 and 3.3) WAS RUN BEFORE EITHER SOURCE WAS TRUSTED ON ANYTHING UNCHECKABLE. checklistinsider was tested on a question this project can already answer - the 300-row base roster - and its transcription matched data/optic-bkb-2024-25/base_cards.csv on 300 of 300 card numbers and 300 of 300 player names, with a single team difference at card 240 that tcdb independently resolves IN CHECKLISTINSIDER'S FAVOUR (G-018). tcdb was tested the same way: its sid 551032 checklist prints the same twelve autograph card numbers, players and teams as checklistinsider and as data/optic-bkb-2024-25/insert_cards.csv, 12 of 12. Only after both passed was checklistinsider allowed to answer the uncheckable questions (the per-card 249 sentence, the release-date label, the block summaries) and tcdb the parallel print runs. checklistcenter was NOT separately calibrated and is used here only where it corroborates a value another source already carries.
  • G-015 THE AUTOGRAPH SET'S NAME DISAGREES ACROSS SOURCES, AND TCDB CANNOT BREAK THE TIE BECAUSE IT NAMES ONLY THE COLOUR TIERS. checklistinsider renders "Rated Rookie Signatures Premium Box Set Checklist" on both its dedicated page (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set) and its parent page (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball) - singular "Rookie". checklistcenter renders the section heading "2024-25 Donruss Optic - Base Rated Rookies Signatures Premium Box Blue Set" (https://www.checklistcenter.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-basketball-card-checklist/) - plural "Rookies", with "Base " and " Set" being that site's own affixes and "Blue" being the colour version; note it also drops the "Set" from "Premium Box Set", giving a third form, "Premium Box Blue Set". tcdb names the three colour tiers "Premium Box Set Blue/Gold/Green" and has no page for the un-coloured set, so it supplies the "Premium Box Set" half of the name but not the "Rated Rookie(s) Signatures" half. WHAT WAS WRITTEN: the PLURAL form "Rated Rookies Signatures Premium Box Set", because it matches checklistcenter modulo that site's affixes, matches the name opticpremium-bkb-2022-23 and -2023-24 carry for the same set of the same line, and matches data/optic-bkb-2024-25/sets.csv byte for byte, which matters because G-005 records a 12-of-12 overlap between the two rows. A resolver matching checklistinsider's singular form will miss this row by one letter; that is the cost of the choice and it is recorded rather than hidden. Whether the "Premium Box Set" suffix is printed on the card or is a cataloguer's qualifier separating it from the parent product's 50-card Rated Rookies Signatures was NOT established this season either, exactly as opticpremium-bkb-2022-23 G-014(d) and -2023-24 G-015 record.
  • G-016 card_tier IS LEFT EMPTY ON ALL 300 ROWS EVEN THOUGH THIS PRODUCT'S OWN PAGE RENDERS THE RUN AS THREE NAMED BLOCKS, and the divergence is recorded rather than resolved. checklistinsider splits the run into "Base Premium Box Set Checklist" ("250 cards. /249. Full set per box.") and "Base Rated Rookie Premium Box Set Checklist" ("50 cards. /249. Full set per box."), and prints a further sub-heading, "Legends", immediately before card 226 inside the first block (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set; the heading was asked for explicitly and returned as "Legends"). data/optic-bkb-2024-25/release.csv describes the same structure in words - veterans 1-225, Base Legends 226-250, Rated Rookies 251-300 - and still leaves card_tier empty on all 300 of its own rows. Under EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.4 this is arguably a tiered base run and card_tier could carry "Legends" on 226-250 and "Rated Rookies" on 251-300. It was left empty because BOTH comparison releases leave it empty - data/opticpremium-bkb-2023-24 on the same line and data/optic-bkb-2024-25 on the physically identical checklist - and changing the convention in one release would make two files describing the same 300 cards disagree on their tiering. THIS IS THE THIRD SEASON RUNNING THE SAME GAP HAS BEEN OPENED (opticpremium-bkb-2022-23, -2023-24), and this season it is sharper because a THIRD block name, "Legends", is now printed and is being dropped. Flagged per EXTRACTION_SPEC 6 so a repair pass can set the convention for the line rather than having it decided per release. base_print_run is NOT varies-by-tier: all three blocks are /249, so no base_card_tiers.csv is required or written.
  • G-017 METHOD AND SPEC NOTES recorded for reproducibility. (a) TCDB'S Inserts.cfm IS TRUNCATED ON THIS PARENT FOR THE FIFTH SEASON RUNNING. https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/496490/2024-25-Donruss-Optic delivers the "Insert Sets (270)" list and stops mid-entry at "Rookie Dual Signatures Gold" (sid 564452), never reaching the "Parallel Sets" heading that follows it; the delivered content contains the navigation anchor text for Parallel Sets but no such section heading and no entries under it. ?sort=2 and ?PageIndex=1&sort=0 were both tried under distinct URLs and changed nothing, and a direct whole-document search for the string "Premium" returned NO on both. So "Inserts.cfm is your sets.csv backbone" does not hold for BASE PARALLELS on a parent this size, for a fifth consecutive season. (b) THE Inserts.cfm NOTES COLUMN ON THIS PARENT IS THE WORTHLESS SHAPE. Its cells on the first five entries read "33.3% of images added", "0.0% of images added", "10.0% of images added", "0.0% of images added", "0.0% of images added" - image completion percentages, the Contenders/Hoops-Winter shape. It carries ZERO print-run information, the blank-annotation test cannot be run on it at all, and it was not used for any value. (c) A TCDB SID RANGE IS NOT CONTIGUOUS PER PRODUCT, AND BOTH SIGNALS FIRED IN THIS PASS. INTRUDERS INSIDE THE APPARENT RANGE: 551000 is "2025 Leaf Metal Signature Series - Autographs Lava Green", 551037 is "2025 Leaf Metal - 1992 Gold Leaf Rookies Autographed Pre-Production Proofs Red Flood", 551075 is "1999 Upper Deck Collectibles Michael Jordan The Farewell Shot Lenticular 4x5", and 551035 and 551036 are "1923 R. & J. Hill Public Schools and Colleges (50) Small" and "(50) Large" - all sitting inside or immediately beside the 2024-25 Donruss Optic sid ranges. NON-EXISTENT SIDS: 551025, 551026, 551027 and 551055 each render the TCDB HOME PAGE rather than an error, the documented signal. This is a POSITIVE CONTROL exercised this season: the home-page render was observed on four sids known to be absent before any absence claim was made from a renderer's silence, which opticpremium-bkb-2023-24 G-017(c) records as not having been available that season. (d) THE ORDERING IS NOT ALPHABETICAL INSIDE THE BLOCK. 551028-551034 runs International, Fast Break, Optix, Gold Velocity, Premium Box Set Blue, Premium Box Set Gold, Premium Box Set Green. A separate, genuinely alphabetical run exists elsewhere in the same parent (550902 Blue Velocity, 550903 Checkerboard, 550904 Choice, 550905 Choice Dragon, 550960 Fast Break Gold, 551030 Optix), and it is broken by the intruder at 551000. So alphabetical extrapolation is UNAVAILABLE this season, as in 2023-24, and the seven-sid window was proved by naming its neighbours instead. (e) THE FETCH LAYER PRODUCED THREE DEFECTS IN THIS PASS AND EACH WAS CAUGHT BY RE-ASKING UNDER A DISTINCT URL IN A DIFFERENT SHAPE: a reconstructed rather than copied rendering of the per-card 249 sentence (G-002); a self-contradiction inside one response about the "Estimated Release Date" label (G-003); and an unrequested gloss expanding the literal flag token on the autograph sid (G-008). A FOURTH, NOT A DEFECT BUT WORTH RECORDING: asked to list the parent's base parallel entries, one fetch stated "80 entries total" and then printed 74 - the documented "a fetch's own arithmetic is not evidence" hazard. The stated total was discarded; nothing in this release rests on that list's size, only on the count of entries containing the word "Premium", which was asked for as its own question and answered as 1. NO FETCH IN THIS PASS WAS REFUSED. (f) THE Checklist.cfm TRUNCATION BUDGET IS CONFIRMED AGAIN ON THE PARENT: an enumerated ask against https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/496490/2024-25-Donruss-Optic?PageIndex=1 returned complete rows only through card 76 of a 100-row page. This release's own 300 rows were NOT read off tcdb - there is no box-set sid - but off checklistinsider, whose page is unpaginated and delivered 40-number enumerated asks complete every time, at a real measured cost of 8 fetches for 300 rows. That is a much cheaper shape than the 12 fetches 2023-24 needed for 250 rows, and it is worth recording that an aggregator page with no pagination can beat tcdb on cost when it exists. (g) A CROSS-PRODUCT BLOCK IS FILED UNDER THIS PARENT ON TCDB, per EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.5: the first entry of the parent's Insert Sets list is "2024 Panini Calligraphy Signatures" (sid 565927), a different product entirely. It is not part of this release and no row was written for it; it is recorded because an agent enumerating this parent will meet it. (h) ONE SPEC-LEVEL NOTE, unchanged from opticpremium-bkb-2023-24 G-017(g) and re-confirmed: reference/channel_taxonomy.csv gives factory-set the AXIS "box-sku" while EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.3 and pipeline/fix_schema.py's map give it the CLASS "promotion". These are different columns and not in conflict, but an agent checking the taxonomy file instead of the map would write the wrong channel_class. channel_class=promotion was written here, per the map, as EXTRACTION_SPEC 6 requires.
  • G-018 A CONTRADICTION AGAINST EXISTING DATA ON ONE BASE CARD, AND THE EXISTING DATA IS THE ONE THAT IS WRONG. Card 240 is Ray Allen, a Legends card in the 226-250 block. THIS RELEASE WRITES team_or_school "Seattle Supersonics". data/optic-bkb-2024-25/base_cards.csv carries "Oklahoma City Thunder" for the same card. TWO INDEPENDENT SOURCES PRINT "Seattle Supersonics": checklistinsider's line for the card reads "240 Ray Allen - Seattle Supersonics /249", confirmed by a narrow re-ask under a distinct URL which answered YES to whether the team text contains "Seattle" and NO to whether it contains "Oklahoma", and quoted the neighbouring lines 239 and 241 unchanged (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-25-donruss-optic-premium-basketball-factory-set); and tcdb's own parent checklist renders card 240 as "240 | Ray Allen | Seattle Supersonics" (https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/496490/2024-25-Donruss-Optic?PageIndex=3). This is the ONLY difference of any kind across 900 compared fields (300 card numbers, 300 player names, 300 team names). The likely cause is a franchise-continuity normalisation applied when the parent release was built - the Seattle SuperSonics became the Oklahoma City Thunder - which is exactly the kind of tidy-up CLAUDE.md forbids, because a Legends card prints the franchise the player played for. NOTHING OUTSIDE THIS RELEASE DIRECTORY WAS TOUCHED. A repair pass should correct data/optic-bkb-2024-25/base_cards.csv card 240 to "Seattle Supersonics"; until it does, two files in this catalogue describing the same physical card disagree on its team, and this file is the one with the citations. Note the spelling printed by both sources is "Seattle Supersonics", one word and no internal capital S, and it is written here exactly as printed rather than normalised to "SuperSonics".
  • G-019 DOES THIS LINE ACTUALLY END AT 2024-25? THE ANSWER IS NOT ESTABLISHED, AND THE BACKFILL BRIEFING'S "believed to be its final season" SHOULD NOT BE PROMOTED TO A FACT ON THE STRENGTH OF THIS PASS. What this pass can say: (a) the 2024-25 edition EXISTS and is well enough evidenced to build - a dedicated checklistinsider page, three tcdb sids, a checklistcenter tier line and a beckett page title; (b) specs/2018-19_SCOPE_MEMO.md section 6 lists "Donruss Optic Premium 2024-25" as the last basketball season of the line and lists nothing for 2025-26; (c) that memo entry rests on ABSENCE from season indexes, and the same memo warns in the same section that "tcdb's cataloguing lags badly for 2024-25 and 2025-26" and that its absence must not be used as evidence for either season - which applies to the END of the line exactly as it applies to its 2024-25 edition. (d) NO SOURCE FETCHED IN THIS PASS STATES THAT THE PRODUCT IS DISCONTINUED. No search for a 2025-26 edition was run as part of this pass and none should be inferred from its absence here. (e) A relevant NON-BASKETBALL data point, recorded as an indexed page title only and used for no value: checklistinsider carries "2024 Donruss Optic Premium Box Set Football" (https://www.checklistinsider.com/2024-donruss-optic-premium-box-set-football), so the Premium Box Set FORMAT was still shipping in the football line in the same product year. THE HONEST STATEMENT IS: 2024-25 is the last season of this line the catalogue has evidence FOR, not a season anyone has evidenced it ended AT. Settling it needs a targeted 2025-26 pass across checklistinsider, beckett and cardboardconnection, not tcdb.
