  • G-001 ENUMERATION FAILURE, named with every endpoint tried. tcdb's Inserts.cfm on parent sid 148542 renders a section heading "Insert Sets (180)" and then TRUNCATES inside that section, mid-row, at row 164 "Signatures Bronze" sid 151896 -- and the "Parallel Sets" section, which on tcdb follows Insert Sets, is NEVER REACHED. Reproduced on THREE parameterisations: the bare URL, ?x=1, and https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/148542/2016-17-Panini-National-Treasures?sort=2 . This is the same cut point 2016-17 Phase 0 measured on 2026-09-28, so it is deterministic rather than stochastic, which by CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC 3a means the limit is on the fetch side of the wire and neither a slug retry nor a sort change will fix it; Inserts.cfm has no paginated equivalent. The 16 rows past the cut WERE recovered, by sweeping sids 151897-151912 with ViewSet.cfm one at a time, and they close the enumeration exactly against the heading's own number: 68 prior-season rows + 103 current-season rows at 151810-151912 + 9 at 153134-153142 = 180. What remains unresolved is only the Parallel Sets HEADING and its count -- see G-004. A later pass with a browser or a raw-HTML fetch can read that heading in one read.
  • G-002 68 PRIOR-SEASON CROSS-SEASON PRINTING-PLATE SUBSETS are filed in sets.csv, flagged, with tcdb's name reproduced verbatim including its season prefix, per EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.5. They come from FIVE other products and THREE other seasons: 2013-14 National Treasures X-Factor Materials; 2015-16 Court Kings (Art Nouveau, Autographs, Brush Strokes, Impressionist Ink, Studio Signatures); 2015-16 Flawless and Flawless Rookie Patch; 2015-16 Immaculate Collection Dual Memorabilia and Rookie Patches; 2015-16 Luxe - Luxe Autographs; and 2015-16 National Treasures (Colossal Jersey Autographs, Colossal Materials, Lasting Legacies, Night Moves, Signatures, Timelines) -- 17 groups of four colour plates, counted by this build and not taken from any brief. Enumerated at https://www.tcdb.com/Inserts.cfm/sid/148542/2016-17-Panini-National-Treasures?sort=2 . UNRESOLVED: none of the 68 pages was opened, so every card_count is EMPTY rather than guessed, and no card-level content is claimed. Sibling seasons file the same shape the same way (nattreasures-bkb-2017-18 has 20 such rows, nattreasures-bkb-2018-19 has 13), so filing rather than gapping keeps this line internally consistent.
  • G-003 PRINT RUN OF THE 68 PRIOR-SEASON PRINTING-PLATE SUBSETS IS UNRESOLVED AND IS DELIBERATELY NOT WRITTEN AS 1. Printing plates are one-of-ones by manufacturing convention, but a convention is not a source: no page consulted for this release states a run for any of the 68, and their own pages were not opened. Under unknown_semantics that state is UNKNOWN, not 1. Note also that sets.csv has no print_run column at all (EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.2), so even a sourced figure could only have been recorded in notes in words.
  • G-004 THE BASE-SET PARALLEL LADDER IS FOUR TIERS ON TWO LINEAGES BUT WAS NOT CONFIRMED AGAINST tcdb'S OWN "Parallel Sets" SECTION HEADING, because that heading was never reached (G-001). What IS established: sids 151806 Bronze, 151807 Emerald, 151808 Gold and 151809 Platinum each render "Total Cards: 100" and the base roster; the block is bounded BELOW by sid 151805 "2017-18 Upper Deck Artifacts" (a hockey product, proved by fetch) and ABOVE by sid 151810 "2016-17 Panini National Treasures - All-Decade Materials", which Inserts.cfm lists under Insert Sets; and cardboardconnection at https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2016-17-panini-national-treasures-basketball independently lists exactly four base parallels with the same four names and the same four runs. So a fifth base tier would have to sit outside a proved-contiguous sid block AND be missing from the only editorial lineage available. That is strong and it is not the same as reading the heading. ⚠ NOTE the brief for this build gave the child sid range as 151810-153142; the real lower boundary is 151806, and building to the brief's range would have missed all four base parallels.
  • G-005 THE SCHEMA CANNOT EXPRESS "SERIAL NUMBERED, RUN PER-CARD VARIABLE", AND THAT STATE IS THE MODAL ONE ON THIS RELEASE. 20 of the 75 set-scope parallel rows carry print_run=UNKNOWN / serial_numbered=UNKNOWN for that reason and NOT because nothing was found: each was enumerated for its distinct serial-token set across its rows and each returned two or more distinct tokens, so writing the modal token would have been a false sourced integer (EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.3). The census, which is the held fact the CSV cannot carry: All-Decade Materials / Prime (sid 151811, 11 of 12 rows): {SN25, SN7} | All-Decade Materials / Super Prime (sid 151812, 10 of 10 rows): {SN3, SN1} | Clutch Factor / Bronze (sid 151818, 38 of 38 rows): {SN25, SN24} | Colossal Jersey Autographs / Bronze (sid 151821, 60 of 59 rows): {SN25, SN24, SN23, SN22, SN19, SN18} | Colossal Materials / Prime (sid 151825, 24 of 33 rows): {SN25, SN23, SN21, SN18, SN14, SN10} | Colossal Materials / Super Prime (sid 151826, 23 of 29 rows): {SN3, SN1} | Colossal Rookie Materials / Prime (sid 151828, 36 of 36 rows): {SN25, SN10} | Colossal Rookie Materials / Super Prime (sid 151829, 34 of 34 rows): {SN3, SN1} | Game Gear Autographs / Prime (sid 151832, 30 of 29 rows): {SN25, SN13, SN10, SN7, SN2} | Game Gear Dual Autographs / Prime (sid 151834, 25 of 25 rows): {SN25, SN10} | Game Gear Triple Autographs / Prime (sid 151841, 20 of 19 rows): {SN25, SN20, SN13, SN10, SN7} | Lasting Legacies / Prime (sid 151854, 24 of 22 rows): {SN25, SN17, SN10} | Material Treasures / Tag (sid 151862, 46 of 46 rows): {SN5, SN3, SN1} | Material Treasures Signatures / Bronze (sid 151859, 40 of 38 rows): {SN25, SN20, SN18, SN15, SN14} | Material Treasures Signatures / Tag (sid 151861, 36 of 36 rows): {SN5, SN4, SN3, SN2, SN1} | Retro Materials / Bronze (sid 151874, 45 of 45 rows): {SN25, SN18, SN17, SN15, SN14, SN10, SN8} | Retro Materials / Gold (sid 151875, 46 of 46 rows): {SN10, SN9, SN6, SN5, SN3, SN2} | Treasured Threads / Prime (sid 151903, 25 of 36 rows): {SN25, SN20, SN5} | Treasured Threads / Prime Tag (sid 151904, 30 of 42 rows): {SN5, SN4, SN3, SN2, SN1} | Tremendous Treasures / Bronze (sid 151910, 25 of 34 rows): {SN25, SN20, SN15}. Of these, the rows where coverage was also short of the page's own Total Cards are marked as such in visual_notes. The same shape is present on sets that are not parallels and therefore have no print_run field at all: All-Decade Materials (sid 151810): {SN99, SN30, SN15} | Century Materials (sid 151813): {SN99, SN30} | Clutch Factor (sid 151817): {SN75, SN49} | Colossal Jersey Autographs (sid 151820): {SN60, SN49} | Colossal Logoman (sid 151823): {SN3, SN2, SN1} | Colossal Materials (sid 151824): {SN60, SN30} | Game Gear (sid 151830): {SN99, SN49, SN30} | Game Gear Autographs (sid 151831): {SN99, SN75, SN70, SN60, SN49, SN25, SN19} | Game Gear Dual Autographs (sid 151833): {SN75, SN49, SN35, SN30, SN25} | Game Gear Duals (sid 151835): {SN75, SN49} | Game Gear Triple Autographs (sid 151840): {SN75, SN49, SN35, SN25} | Game Gear Triples (sid 151842): {SN49, SN25} | Hometown Heroes (sid 151845): {SN75, SN60, SN35} | International Treasures (sid 151849): {SN75, SN49} | Lasting Legacies (sid 151853): {SN99, SN75, SN60, SN55, SN40, SN20} | Material Treasures (sid 151856): {SN99, SN49, SN30} | Material Treasures Signatures (sid 151858): {SN99, SN35, SN25} | NBA Finals Nameplate (sid 151863): {SN11, SN10, SN9, SN8, SN5, SN4} | NBA Greats Signatures (sid 151864): {SN99, SN25} | Penmanship (sid 151868): {SN99, SN40, SN25, SN10} | Retro Materials (sid 151873): {SN99, SN30} | Rookie Patch Autographs Horizontal (sid 153138): {SN49, SN32} | Signatures (sid 151895): {SN75, SN49, SN35} | Treasured Tags Autographs (sid 151901): {SN5, SN4, SN3, SN2} | Treasured Threads (sid 151902): {SN99, SN49} | Treasures of the Hall (sid 151905): {SN75, SN49} | Tremendous Treasures (sid 151909): {SN60, SN30}. This is the sixth consecutive season the same expressiveness gap has cost a value (CAV-041). Note it cost no ROWS here, only precision, because every variable tier on this release is set-scope; had any been base-scope, CAV-041 says there would be no legal row at all.
  • G-006 base_print_run=99 basis=sourced rests on cardboardconnection's words ("100 cards. Serial numbered #/99." at https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2016-17-panini-national-treasures-basketball) plus tcdb's row-level token "SN99" on all 100 base rows. checklistcenter was NOT swept for this release, so the second EDITORIAL lineage that 2017-18 had is absent here; the independent leg is the tcdb row-level token, not a second website. UNRESOLVED: whether checklistcenter carries this release at all. Per CAV-037 a constructed checklistcenter URL that 404s is evidence of nothing, so none was constructed.
  • G-007 FOUR CARD NUMBERS ARE NOT ISSUED: 134, 145, 184 and 195. None sits in the base run (1-100 is contiguous), so base_set_size is unaffected; all four sit inside the autograph blocks that EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.3 excludes -- 134 and 145 inside Rookie Patch Autographs (101-150), 184 and 195 inside Rookie Patch Autographs Horizontal (151-200). This is the CAV-049 shape (holes that are real AND belong to another set) rather than the CAV-045 shape. CAV-044 was satisfied before recording them: the holes were read on the parent (Checklist.cfm ?PageIndex=2 under two sorts), on the parent's Gallery (?PageIndex=14, 19 and 20), and then on SET pages distinct from the parent -- sid 153140 renders all 48 Rookie Patch Autographs rows as 101-150 less 134 and 145, sid 153138 renders all 48 Horizontal rows as 151-200 less 184 and 195, and sid 153139 (Horizontal Bronze) renders the same 48 numbers again. cardboardconnection is the non-tcdb lineage, stating "48 cards" for each block at https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2016-17-panini-national-treasures-basketball , i.e. 50 minus 2 twice. The reconciliation closes the header exactly: 100 + 48 + 48 + 10 = 206 distinct issued numbers over a 1-210 span. RESOLVED as to the fact; left open only because EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.5's mirror was not checked -- nobody has looked in the 2017-18 National Treasures parent for a "2016-17 Update" block that might hold any of the four.
  • G-008 CONVENTION DIVERGENCE WITH nattreasures-bkb-2017-18, named rather than smoothed. This release files "Rookie Patch Autographs Horizontal" as its own sets.csv row (set_type=auto, 48 cards, cards 151-200 less 184 and 195) because tcdb gives it its own card-number block inside the parent checklist, its own sid (153138) and its own colour parallel (Bronze, sid 153139), and because cardboardconnection prints it as a set with its own parallel list ("PARALLEL CARDS: Bronze #/25") at https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2016-17-panini-national-treasures-basketball . nattreasures-bkb-2017-18 files the equivalent layer as a PARALLEL named "Horizontal" (print_run 49, scope "Rookie Patch Autographs"), which is correct THERE because in that season the layer is a b-suffixed variation on the SAME card numbers rather than a numbered block of its own. So the two releases answer "what is Horizontal?" differently, for a reason, and nothing in either row tells a reader that. A consumer comparing the line across seasons will see a set appear and a parallel disappear. Worth a deliberate decision rather than leaving it to whoever reads it first.
  • G-009 THIRTEEN tcdb SET PAGES RENDERED MORE ROWS THAN THEIR OWN "Total Cards" HEADER, AND SIX RENDERED FEWER. Per EXTRACTION_SPEC 5.4 and CAV-044 a header that disagrees with a row count is a question about the UNIT, not proof the header is wrong, and the two cases are indistinguishable from the page alone. The header is what card_count carries in every case, because it is the page's own field and this build did not enumerate card-level rows for insert sets (that is the CHASE_CHECKLIST_SPEC pass, not this one). The over-count set is All-Decade Materials (20 rows vs header 18), Clutch Factor (40 rows vs header 39), Colossal Jersey Autographs (60 rows vs header 59), Colossal Jersey Autographs Bronze (60 rows vs header 59), Colossal Rookie Materials (40 rows vs header 39), Game Gear (40 rows vs header 39), Game Gear Autographs Prime (30 rows vs header 29), Game Gear Dual Autographs (25 rows vs header 24), Game Gear Duals Prime Tag (30 rows vs header 29), Game Gear Triple Autographs (20 rows vs header 19), Game Gear Triple Autographs Prime (20 rows vs header 19), Game Gear Triples (20 rows vs header 19), Game Gear Triples Prime Tag (20 rows vs header 19), Lasting Legacies (25 rows vs header 23), Lasting Legacies Prime (24 rows vs header 22), Logoman Autographs (50 rows vs header 46), Material Treasures Signatures Bronze (40 rows vs header 38), NBA Greats Signatures Bronze (20 rows vs header 18), Penmanship Bronze (40 rows vs header 38), Rookie Materials Gold (25 rows vs header 24), Rookie Triple Materials Gold (25 rows vs header 24), Treasured Threads (50 rows vs header 48), Treasures of the Hall Bronze (20 rows vs header 19), Tremendous Treasures (50 rows vs header 49). UNRESOLVED: which unit each header counts.
  • G-010 cardboardconnection AND tcdb ARE NOT ONE LINEAGE ON THIS PRODUCT -- the CAV-037 per-product independence test was RUN and it DIVERGED in two checkable directions. Of 19 sets where both print a count they agree on 17 (a shared-upstream signature) and disagree on two: "Colossal Materials" -- cc "77 cards" at https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2016-17-panini-national-treasures-basketball against tcdb sid 151824 "Total Cards: 38" with 38 rows rendered; and "Game Gear Dual Autographs" -- cc "25 cards" against tcdb sid 151833 "Total Cards: 24". tcdb's figures are written because they are the ones backed by a rendered enumeration. HYPOTHESIS ONLY, flagged as a derivation and not as a finding: 38 (Colossal Materials) + 39 (Colossal Rookie Materials) = 77, so cc may be merging two tcdb sets under one name. That arithmetic is mine and no source states it. UNRESOLVED either way.
  • G-011 NO CHANNEL IS RESOLVED FOR ANY OF THE 79 PARALLEL ROWS. channel=UNKNOWN on all 79, channel_basis EMPTY on all 79 (the migrations/003 basis_iff_channel_known constraint makes any other pairing illegal), and channel_confidence EMPTY on all 79 per CAV-038. No page consulted -- neither tcdb nor cardboardconnection -- prints any hobby/retail/exclusivity statement about any tier of this product. This is a declined assignment, not an unexamined field: National Treasures is a single-configuration hobby-only product by reputation, and cardboardconnection states a box configuration ("10 cards per pack, 1 pack per box, 4 boxes per case" at https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2016-17-panini-national-treasures-basketball) but NOT a trade channel, and a box configuration is not a channel statement. Declining is what EXTRACTION_SPEC 2.3 requires rather than writing channel=hobby with basis=from-note.
  • G-012 CAV-042 REPRODUCED ON THIS RELEASE, IN THE DIRECTION THAT WRITES FALSE VALUES. ViewSet.cfm on sid 153135 (Rookie Autographs Gold) rendered an EMPTY flag column on all ten rows and the fetch said so explicitly, while Checklist.cfm on the same sid renders "AU, SN10" on every one of the ten and cardboardconnection states "Gold #/10" for that set at https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2016-17-panini-national-treasures-basketball . Writing the ViewSet reading would have put "unnumbered"/"no" on a provably /10 tier. Separately, Gallery.cfm ?PageIndex=9 on sid 151899 (Signatures Platinum) returned EIGHT tiles and reported the serial token as EMPTY on all eight; the same URL with &sort=0 returned NINE tiles each reading "AU, SN1". A dropped tile and a dropped flag column in one response. Recorded so the two sids are known-lossy to a later pass; no value in this release rests on either first reading.
  • G-013 NO scarcity_tier, NO stated_odds AND NO odds evidence IS WRITTEN FOR ANY OF THE 107 sets.csv ROWS OR ANY OF THE 79 parallels.csv ROWS. Panini publishes no numeric pack odds for this era (CAV-015) and neither tcdb nor cardboardconnection prints an odds figure or a scarcity classification for any set in this product. Per CAV-005 an EMPTY parallels.scarcity_tier means the scarcity pass has never covered the row, which is the true state, and is deliberately used in preference to UNKNOWN (which would claim the pass looked and could not place it) and in preference to inheriting "case-hit" from nattreasures-bkb-2017-18, which carries that value on its equivalent rows without an odds citation. Flagged so the divergence from the sibling season is visible rather than silent.
  • G-014 THE Inserts.cfm NOTES COLUMN IS WORTHLESS ON THIS PARENT AND THE BOTH-DIRECTIONS SPLIT TEST IS UNRUNNABLE, so every print run on this release cost its own per-sid row-level token sweep. Measured on my own parent, per section, per cell, per CAV-036 as extended 2026-09-29: of the 164 Insert Sets rows delivered, every non-empty Notes cell is an image-completion percentage ("6.7% of images added", "3.3% of images added") and the rest are empty. ZERO serial statements in any format -- neither the prose shape nor the bare-token shape. Because the blanks sit beside percentages rather than beside annotations, the split test cannot be run at all; it is not merely failed. The 2017-18 sibling was NOT used to calibrate this column, per CAV-036's finding that the sibling season is an anti-source for it. The Parallel Sets section's Notes column was never seen (G-001), so nothing is claimed about it either way.
  • G-015 FLOOR NOT CLAIMED, AND NONE SHOULD BE INFERRED. This release is 2016-17, the catalogue's current lowest season, and nothing here is evidence that National Treasures begins in 2016-17. 2016-17_SCOPE_MEMO 3a records a 2015-16 National Treasures at tcdb sid 123497 and a 2014-15 at sid 111972, so the line runs at least two seasons deeper. This release itself carries positive evidence of the same thing: six of its 68 prior-season printing-plate rows name 2015-16 National Treasures sets by name. Per 2016-17_SCOPE_MEMO 3b (the Studio lesson) a floor needs a positive statement and no source consulted makes one.
  • G-016 rookie_flag=no ON ALL 100 BASE ROWS RESTS ON A WITHIN-PARENT DISCRIMINATIVE TEST, NOT ON AN EXPLICIT "not a rookie" STATEMENT. tcdb DOES print RC designations on this sid -- all 108 rows numbered 101-210 carry RC -- and prints none on any of rows 1-100, which is the positive discriminative shape EXTRACTION_SPEC 6 licenses. ⚠ The uncomfortable case is named rather than hidden: card 53 is Ben Simmons, whose rookie year is 2016-17, and tcdb flags him no differently from the veterans around him because Panini put the 2016-17 rookie class in the autograph blocks and this is a veterans-plus-stars base run. If a consumer needs RC status per player rather than per printed designation, this column does not answer it. CAV-003 applies. Consistent with nattreasures-bkb-2017-18, which writes no on all 100 of its base rows.
